I should know the answer to this question but I don’t.

Diamond was added last year as a stepping stone between Platinum Plus (now called Sapphire) and Ambassador.
Yes, I know that but the point spread is 350 between Diamond and Ambassador whereas there are six categories between 1 and 350.

What’s really needed is a designation between Diamond and Ambassador.

I added on the Vibe to our Epic cruise back in July and I was charged $199. It is a 7 night cruise on the Epic in February of 2024.
There’s no such thing as Vibe on the Epic. It’s Posh, which is the Haven Sun deck. We didn’t care for it. No hot tubs and just not the same ambiance as Vibe.

I sure hope Joy gets it before our June 2024 cruise. It's going into dry dock so one would think they'd do it then.
Had a chat with the Joy GM a couple weeks ago and he confirmed that it will be part of the dry dock refurbishment this January/February.

If this has been attempted before I apologize, but what do you think about starting a thread that would detail price drops either before or after final payment. I try to keep current with all my cruise pricing but sometimes life happens. It would be beneficial if posters would share price drop information with others in one online location. I’m thinking information should include ship name, sail date, cabin category and amount of price drop. I realize the price drop amount is a relative number since the purchase price varies from cruiser to cruiser but it can demonstrate a trend. I know price drops are often discussed on roll calls but I think it might be better sharing this information in a more central location. Your comments please.

It the Bird. Doors aren't a hinderance, Bird can just fly over the walls into the Haven area. No need for key cards and such.
That’s what I thought. I just wanted a confirmation.

Ships in the Alaskan market are supposed to have them,,, but people keep taking them home.
We were on the Encore in 2021 and they had some lovely, plush deck blankets. We were on the Encore a couple of weeks ago and there were none.... in steerage. I found a hiding place in the Haven and took a couple back to our cabin for warm balcony viewing.
How did you get into the Haven, if you were … in steerage?

I have just returned from my cruise on Silhouette 3rd one this year
We were sitting enjoying a drink with another couple of guests in the Ensemble Lounge when a group of four passing us to go into the Retreat Lounge one of them decided to
berate us saying you POOR people having to sit in this dreary lounge when we have a beautiful one here yes the emphasis was on the word poor I was so angry I wanted to follow him in but my husband held me back
it would have come to fisticuffs and we would probably have been put off at the next port , money talks even if it’s with bad manners
Hard to believe that actually happened.

Any lunch recommendations in Halifax?
Didn’t have lunch in Halifax but I would recommend trying some of the craft beers at Garrison Brewery right across the street from the Pier, They have an assortment of draft beer flights available for sampling. I really liked the Irish Red Ale.

Thank you for the update.
Are you on board? Hope the seas are not too rough, and that you have Bonine or some other seasick medicine just in case. Sorry that you are missing ports, but that is part of the adventure.
I will be packing for Bermuda for the trip leaving NYC Wednesday, but bringing rain jacket and hoodie just in case.
Yes, I’m on board. It was a little rough the last couple nights but nothing extreme. We are safely in Halifax this morning and I’m enjoying a coffee and Baileys on my balcony. Looks like the weather will be nice today. Looking forward to a walk along the beautiful Halifax waterfront.

Couldn’t get into Sydney because of the weather. Currently circling in the Atlantic.

We are in Corner Brook, Newfoundland right now. The captain really hasn’t said anything about any itinerary changes other than they are carefully monitoring the situation. He said that he will make an announcement prior to leaving Corner Brook this evening.

I was having trouble with my phone so was not able to respond to some of these misinformed comments. We are in Quebec City today where we will spend an overnight. Per the regulations some specialty bars like the Brew House will be closed for two days. Is that a big deal - yes it is. I purchased the P+ beverage package so I could drink beers that are only available there. Waited over half an hour for our champagne in Savor because they had to go the Atrium bar to get it. We enjoy going to Cellars for a glass of wine or champagne before dinner - they are closed too. I could go on and on but please don’t say I’m overreacting because I can get a well drink after I stand in line for an hour.

He is on the Joy in Sugarcane. Spoke with him yesterday.

I understand the rationale for restrictions in port (I don’t agree with them but I understand them) but the 12 mile policy baffles me - why, what possibly could the government gain. In Halifax we pulled away at 6pm and didn’t get clearance to open the bars until 8:30. It was chaos on decks 6 and 8. The atrium bar and A+ bars had 8 bartenders workiing but getting drinks in the dining rooms was a nightmare.

OMG! Ship happens.
If you are not prepared to roll with problems when they arise traveling, best stay home. Life doesn't come with compensation.
It’s easy to be “Confucius” when the issue doesn’t impact you.

Seems some people have not read the details in The email. Disappointment, yes, but compensation for loss of day and port fees seems fair.
I’m on that cruise and I don’t think that’s fair since I will incur an extra night hotel stay and meals. NCL should throw in some FCC.

There’s also ice machines in the Observation Lounge if your ship has one.
