Keep checking in the NCL app under Entertainment and book as soon as it let's you. We already booked for April 2024 a month ago
We did too, for a Panama Canal cruise in April 2024.

We don't really care for champagne or the fresh juices.
We're mostly red wine drinkers, especially the full bodied ones.
No sweet wines. None.
So no ice wine.

Do Retreat cruisers get priority disembarkation?
-
We will cruising on Celebrity for the first time in January. We are on an 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise that gets back to Fort Lauderdale at 8:00 am (according to the published itinerary). We are staying in a Retreat Sky Suite. Is an 11:20 flight from FLL to Toronto doable or should I book a later one. We are avid cruisers and know that sometimes things go sideways but under normal circumstances what time does disembarkation begin.

I think the best advice is wait until you get on the ship and ask around to see what’s available, not only selections but inventory. At that point you can determine whether or not the package is worth it or not, based on your particular preferences. At that point purchase it on board or don’t.

There generally is a huge discrepancy between the beer list and what actually is available.

So you mean for drinks onboard while in port?

Are liquor taxes collected in Canadian east coast ports, specifically, Halifax, Charlottetown, Sydney, Corner Brook and Quebec City.

Yes taxes are due in some ports and not others.
Thanks, that’s very helpful.

Bumping this thread in the hope of getting more feedback.

Would it be possible to go there just for a dessert - maybe sitting at the bar?
I'll be on the Joy if that matters.
Yes. I go there just for the pecan pie.

Looking forward to our first East Coast New England/Canada cruise in three weeks. Just wondering if there are liquor taxes payable in any of the ports. The itinerary is as follows: New York, Boston, Portland, Sydney, Charlottetown, Corner Brook, Halifax and Quebec City.

Just more consistency from ship to ship.

The Haven sun deck is terribly boring. No bar and beverage service is hit and miss, most of the time a miss. If you like watching paint dry, you’ll love the Haven sun deck. If you enjoy more of a subdued party atmosphere with exceptional service, Vibe is a much better alternative.

No, you were talking about the Premium beverage package, which has a $15 limit. That being said the Premium Plus does not include any drink on the ship. There are still exclusions.
Many exclusions.

The problem with booking a NCL transfer for an early flight is that the buses don’t leave for the airport until they are full. We’ve almost missed flights later than 12:50.

Do you have an inside cabin? If I've got a balcony I can't see a decent recent to book Vibe on a September Canadian itinerary.
We have a Club Balcony cabin. I think it depends when in September. As I said, the weather in early September should be ok to enjoy the outdoor amenities in Vibe.

Looking at Joy Canadian itineraries in September.
Does anyone actually book Vibe on Canadian cruises? I'd think the place would be a ghost town....
I’m doing a B2B on the Joy leaving NY on September 4 and returning from Quebec City on September 13. I booked Vibe for the first cruise but not the second leg. I think the weather should be ok that early in September with the exception of Corner Brook (they have outdoor skating rinks open in July).

We’ve stayed in many family club balcony suites and have never had a tub. Always a walk in shower, which is the reason we booked them.

And what about Ice Wine. It’s not listed on the P+ promo listings anymore.

US ports: Tax on free alcohol but not on specialty dining?

This topic (in port liquor taxes) doesn’t seem to generate much discussion as most people are not concerned about the small amount of taxes due, but when you have the premium plus package the taxes could be significant as the menu prices for some of the top shelf liquors are outrageous,
