  1. Depends on what you mean by a cubicle. I had 18 hours of nothing to do while crossing the Pacific. Even getting 7 hours sleep I had plenty of time to putter around writing my Live Post - Texting my daughter - eating - more live posting and more eating. I'm not real big on watching movies. I usually listen to audio books but I kept getting distracted writing and reading posts I kept getting lost in thought so finally just put on some easy listening and kept myself busy.
  2. Shhh... those darn sleeping pills Ambian kinda put me in a hypnotic state - somewhere between sleep and away. I had such vivid dreams that when I awakened and nothing to do for another 4 hour. I wrote Iain a love letter letting him know how much he means to me. He isn't as connected as me and has read his e-mails yet.
  3. We only had special off menu meals an they were incredible. The Lobster was really good but the Dim Sum was the star of the show.
  4. Susan - So glad to hear you are aboard and from everything been reading been a bit challenging but enjoyable. Have you heard how many B2B's there will be ? We received a message from Celebrity while I was in flight that they are expecting delays in processing passengers off the ship and delaying our departure and asking new guest to arrive an hour later than normal. Seems that two ships will be sharing the terminal.
  5. Another really hidden treasure throughout Singapore are the Food Courts under almost every shopping center - You will find every imaginal type of food - as well as grocery stores. Having said that after getting in last night we decided to walk over to the Burgis Center which is about a 15 minute walk. Huge amount of construction in our area so took a bit of navigation - Thank goodness for for Google Maps. Even though it was 8PM the city is hustling and bustling and the food court was jammed. We picked up some cereal, bread, wine and mile. Just enough to get us going on Wednesday.
  6. Trust me you can find anything in Singapore. Last time we were here my stomach was just sour and the thought of Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Indian just wasn't going to make it. We walked around looking for American Fare to no avail. Just about giving up - I looked up and saw a Hyatt and decided to check out the area. Found a little Italian Restaurant that just filled the bill - We both ordered the Carbonara that was just perfect lightness and right order side. Loved it so much that I learned to make Carbonara.
  7. We got into Singapore about an hour early and it was nice to have our feet on the ground again. First of - SINGAPORE AIRLINE IS THE BEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD. What an incredible flight. The first thing you notice is the attractiveness any young age of the flight crew. It is the polar opposite for US flag carrier like United. I use to kid Iain and say my God the flight attendant was the age of my mother. I may have to revise that to my age. LOL From the moment you walked aboard you were addressed by your surname every time the flight attendant or purser interacted with you - Is everything OK Mr Smaltz. Mr. Smaltz, would you like your coffee freshened up. etc etc. As soon as I got ready for bed an attendant rushed to me and said let me get your bed ready for you. Would you like me to awake you at a certain time or would you just like to sleep. Food was also superb and plentiful. The biggest problem is how do you schedule your meal on an 18 hour flight and adjust to arrival time at the same time.
  8. Come on John... they change it. They just changed it after 5 years to the current. LOL My taste the only think I liked was the Raspberry Pistachio desert. I'm not a big fan of ANOTHER chocolate desert. I haven't tried it so will leave my opinion until then.
  9. That's really not uncommon on a new ship. Part of the "Fun" of a Pre - Pre- inaugural cruise. LOL - It often also whappens on a unique cruise I just looked and the MDR is now loaded but not Blu or Luminae - Breakfast is loaded
  10. No big area like that. Even in an Upper suite I have been given a window sign for the driver to get up to the "Special Delivery Desk". Many times the temperamental police just blows their whistle and direct the car to the fist open place. Regardless of where I get out I just hand to the first porter I see and be done with it. I have seen a Suites Sign and a big cart but not worth the bother to drag it all that distance.
  11. Even if salt water they use heavy chlorine. I once went in with a Kelly Green Swimsuit and got out with a beige swimsuit with green threads. Worst is on the E-Class when too windy for the high price dinner on the Magic Carpet they move it into to Solarium. Not as strong of a smell but not what I would pay for an upscale meal ambiance.
  12. Maya - surprised your agent isn't on top of this. All they need to do is press a couple keys. If you own at least 100 share of RCL you can also add on the Stockholders Credit $1,000 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on a World Cruise $250 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 14 or more nights. $100 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 6-13 nights. $50 Onboard Credit per Stateroom on Sailings of 5 nights or less.
  13. Believe me that's not the norm. Especially since October they have cut down substantiall the OBC offers . Even Booking while aboard - Current Promotion is Max of $500 for a Suite and as low as $50 for a short inside cruise. And current Promotion is Max of
  14. Good night. really unusual seats. The back of the seat folds down and already made with egg crate mattress, sheets, 2 full size pillows and a duvet also bulkhead have a huge foot area instead of just an angled hole.
  15. Actually 2nd. That was him incognito coming doe the escalator. You reminded. I have one the flight attendant insisted on taking when she set up my bed and tucked me in
  16. Huge can mean different to many. Also Huge may be related to accumulation of OBC's from a number of different sources. I can't remember our record but on one cruise right after cruising resumed we had a 1,800 NR OBC Plus $200-300 Stockholders plus we had a problem with TA that stiffed us - the executive office covered her OBC and gave us another $1800 and that was in addition to the RF Credit from our agent. Then to top it off the price of our Suite Dropped $3,500 after final payment (they would match prices up until sailing but as an OBC. I was lucky and was able to pull it off on the Slots at the time. I would come back to the room and do a money dance. On top of that there was a problem with out room and they gave us an OBC as a goodwill gesture.
  17. Ok life’s a Bit€H and then you die. If that isn’t incredible enough - we had the option of pre-ordering in advance by selecting a Chef. After take off we had Dinner around 1o:30 pm California time about 2am Singapore We we chose the specially prepared lobster Started with cocktails (Coffee for me) and a nice selection of warm nuts. Started with a Scallop Salad followed by an incredible Lobster dinner with fingerling potatoes roasted yellow tomato and asparagus For some reason underlie got stuck on. It was incredible. Cooked to perfection. The potato’s and asparagus was so hot you had to let it cool. Desert was a selection of ice cream, cheese, fruit or cake. I got the ice cream
  18. Getting there. The service is impeccable and we are addressed by name by every crew member. This may be overkill but first up is a menu like I have ever experienced
  19. I am also. Forgot to say I opened my sealed wish list 10 years later. Iain hit it 100%
  20. Ahh yea. Are you on the corner. We use to walk our dog through that business park at nights. Watched them set that beautiful gym. I often say we are perfect hits for a sniper. I leave every day at 10:30 so cross Central on the opposite side of Mary. Then walk to Maude and turn left. Easy to spot in my bright yellow puffer. If you see me just yell.
  21. Yikes. I was expecting you to say he was a gentleman, stopped your bus and presented it back to you.
  22. Darn. I loved them. Glad you had a wonderful trip. For those that don’t know Henrietta is my girlfriend. In between reunions she serves Dianne and travels the world with her.
  23. We are frequent visitors to Australia but New Zealand is rather new. I’ve only been in the airport. Before the 747 could make it non-stop you had to refuel in HNL or Auckland. I love the itinerary.
