  1. Have a nice cruise, Linda. I hope you have healed after your recent surgeries.
  2. Should be fun in Kona and Hilo.... but then LOTS of SEA DAYS.
  3. Thanks for the compliments. I don't think I have the organizational skill to write a book. My style which you will notice is scattered and rambling. We've had some cold weather up north but suppose to be in the 70's and clear until we leave. It's really nice for walking. You have really had a wet winter --- El Nino Year for sure!
  4. I think I was a duck when a kid and have been a strong swimmer my whole live. I use to swim laps at an Olympic Size Swimming in Santa Clara alongside Mark Spitz - What a swimmer --- I of course was many laps behind him. We really don't swim in the Ocean in Norther California due to the sea temperatures here --- Normally about 55-56F. Really need a wet suite to surf or swim.
  5. I use to do it all the time in my younger years and wasn't really bad. As I grow older my body doesn't handle jet lag as well. Having said that last November flight to Singapore we really didn't suffer jet lag at all. I find the hardest is wrapping your head around it before you board but once on board - Eat -Sleep - watch some TV and Movies - Eat -- Sleep and Bam.... You're there.
  6. It should be a perfect time of year. I suspect it will be a bit late for the cherry blossoms.
  7. Thanks ..... I have been reading @abbydancer2003 live post as she is on the same ship as you. I'm really anxious to get aboard.
  8. Edge will be in Sydney the day we arrive. They are behind Solstice by about 10 days.
  9. Yea... I didn't realize that until I had posted on our roll call and @abbydancer2003 saw it immediately.
  10. Love it.... My first browser was Netscape 1.0 It came with a book explaining what a browser was. Only problem at 1.44 MBPS it tool about 5 minutes for a webpage to to open. Known as click on a link and grab a cup of coffee.
  11. Mentioned bit early that we may be boarding the Arc. I hope the forecast doesn't get worse. When I first checked over the weekend, they were forecasting 1 1/4 inch of rain on our arrival on Friday. Latest below. Our AirBnB wont' be available until 2PM and with an 8AM arrival we are probably going to hang out in a Coffee Shop after dropping our luggage. We were hoping to meet with friends Wanda and Glen, they are on Edge which will be doing a B2B turn around on Friday. That may be in jeopardy if it is really stormy.
  12. Thanks @Georgia_Peaches always happy to see you join in.
  13. We really love Eastbound Trans Atlantic. Barcelona should be beautiful in the Spring. We are going to enjoy Sydney in the beginning of fall. Discovered yesterday that Day Light Savings Time begins on April 6. I'm sure they did that on purpose to further screw up our trying to figure what day and time our body is on.
  14. OK... OK... now two mistakes...The dateline is really screwing me up - We fly on April 3 but dont' arrive until April 5 ----- There is no April 4th for us. The main one is on the video Lautoka and Suva, Fiji are shown as TWO islands and they are actually on the same island.
  15. Bernadette - Thanks for bringing up the Itinerary. Here's the Official Itinerary. After the terrible fire in Maui last year they dropped Lahina and we now have 2 nights in Honolulu
  16. Thank's for everyone joining. I can tell already this is going to be a fun thread.
  17. Susan, I hope you have a great time. Silhouette is one of our favorite trips. You may have better weather than what's I've seen for our arrival. Will update after I check todays forecast. From yesterday's forecast we may be boarding the Ark.
  18. Thanks for coming aboard. I have a bunch of catching up this morning.
  19. It's funny. Last night Iain said. Wow - It's been over 3 months since we have been on a cruise.
  20. Thanks much for joining. I forgot to mention that on my Live Post all are welcome and nothing is off topic. I only ask people respect each other an have a good time.
  21. Thanks much Maggie... you will have to post about Explora Journeys We are open to all cruise lines now.
  22. Welcome to my friend from Ireland. We lived in Ballsbridge, Dublin for 4 years while I was Managing Director of company there. We really loved it there at at times thought about staying after my assignment came to an end. Balsbridge was an amazing part of Dublin but when Van Morrison moved in next door we we decided to move to Black Rock. I'll just say he and Michelle Rocca lived a different life style than us.
  23. Wow------ Just got back from my walk and finally just got through reading all your messages. I'll start working on Page two later. Thanks to everyone that are joining in what should really be a fun Possible Video and Photo VLOG. For some reason I've always hated that term -- VLOG.
  24. It really is a unique cruise. What will be interesting is we are visiting two Samoan Island's on the same day... LOL..... We cross the date line between the two Islands. Really screwed up many trying to book on Celebrity Site with some being rejected because they already have and excursion booked for that date and time...
  25. Will try to do. I specifically purchased a GoPro with under water case. I think Iain has given up on snorkeling after our last trip. While I'm a strong swimmer, Iain isn't and got caught in a rip current on the barrier reef and it really scared him. I'm hoping the decline in food and service is relate to the E-Class ships.
