Live From Celebrity Constellation 3/11-3/23
Jim_Iain replied to jam19872016's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I have a feeling it may be the motion sickness pill also. They have a very similar signature to Benadryl which is used in most over the counter sleeping aids. They knock me out cold. -

I'm sure Abby and I can do some tag teaming. She lives close to me and we have met up at Starbucks for coffee. -

Have fun Abby - See you in Sydney in a couple weeks. -
Cruise Deckplans have a tool to check cabins... I believe only on the paid side... I got a lifetime membership 10 years ago. Yes it is under the the entrance to pool deck. I believer we have been in that cabin and wasn't too noisy but once in awhile when they clean the deck you hear chair scraping and some noise from the stage.

Passport Renewal took only 3 weeks - not expedited!
Jim_Iain replied to Bill Miller's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Happy to hear of the re-newal speed. We need to renew ours when we get back from our next trip in Early May. I hope the processing time continues to be short. We don't expire until 2025 but only 2 pages left which will probably be used up after the trip. They no longer add pages. -

We got ours years ago when it first began. Luckily SFO is only 30 minutes away and the process went quickly. Originally we had an interview 3 months out but checked daily and due to cancellations were able to get appointments within a week of passing the background check. Keep checking a couple times a day and you may be rewarded. -

Constellation Guarantee Concierge - Worse case scenarios?
Jim_Iain replied to tbmrt's topic in Celebrity Cruises
To be honest..... I've done Guarantees in the past an can be well worth the price. It is best to set you expectation for the worst Concierge Cabin and anything better is a bonus. Generally the only difference is location and possible partial obstructed view. It also may put you in a good position to bid a little more on an upgrade if you choose to bid on and upgrade. -

IS the "Wi-Fi" a wired option also (Ascent)?
Jim_Iain replied to Algoron's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Iain uses FaceTime with his Sister in Scotland and it works really well since both families are Apple supporters. I'm sure Droid must have something similar. We also use WhatsAppp with friends from other countries that don't buy international roaming packages. Also many of the AirBnB hosts in South America routinely use it for communication. -

I get around 985 Up and Down. It is noticeable as I do a lot of large uploads. If yours is rock solid I would stay with it. When I remodeled our house I installed an ultra-premium underpayment under my hardwood floors... Never occurred to me that it was Mylar coated as a vapor barrier and the Mylar created an RF Block between floors (3 floors). Not my best decision... That is the reason I use a nest router system. -
I will be in a similar situation the week before you joining Solstice. I've been told by Shoreside concierge and a number of CC members that the Luggage Drop off at Overseas Cruise Terminal around 9:30. I plan on dropping off my luggage early if available. Second option is there is an App called Bounce that offers Luggage Storage all over the world. Many of the places are Restaurants and Dry Cleaners. There is one location about 500 meters from the terminal across from the ferry terminal. All storage locations are bonded and insured. I've used Bounce in Sydney in December as well as Singapore, Toronto and Amsterdam

Same with me. Comes in hand now that I have Fiber. I get much higher speeds when hard wired (not that I often need that speed) and also used the Ethernet connection to link my mesh routers. -
Check your airline rules. Most have a provision that if they change your flight by more than XXX number of minutes and you find it unacceptable, you can call in and have changed to a flight of your choice at no additional cost or full refund. If booked with agent you will have to have the agent call.

Interesting that when Infinity went through Dry Dock a couple months ago they expanded Luminae and updated Michael's Club to Retreat - total re-do

That's just to make you feel like "One of Their most LOYAL Customers" Reminds you of your roots..

Love Summit. We did a B3B on her last year. She has gone through Revolution and is one of my favorite ships. We had a great waiter in Retreat that I hear from frequently . He just rejoined the ship and will be doing the Alaska Season.

It is usually 3-4 weeks prior. I'm basing this on what I heard from a SS messenger this week. You can however contact them early if you wish by emailing SolsticeRetreat@celebrity.com substitute the name of the ship.

IS the "Wi-Fi" a wired option also (Ascent)?

Or it may be restricted. I'm the President of our Home Owners Association. We recently had Optical Gig installed. Optical runs to the end of each building and then ethernet cables run to the roof and then are fed into each unit. Our provider - Sail Internet controls access by using the MAC address of each units Router. I also us a free account and provided Nest Router and can move it between buildings for targeted security cameras. It recognizes the Router regardless of location in our mini - network. I also upgraded my home router and wouldn't connect. I had to call in and give them the new Mac Address. Bam... worked instantly. -

The question as I read it. The OP knows there is internet but wanting to know if there is a hard wire Ethernet option in addition to Wireless. I think the answer is maybe. In the "OLD Days" in CS and above there was a computer terminal hard wired with Ethernet connection. Also the TV's now operate as a dumb terminal and everything comes into the TV by Ethernet connection. I've tried the Ethernet connection in the Upper Suites and they are not connected any longer. Having said all that a couple years ago I had a Royal Suite with really poor internet (pre Revolution) They brought a Router to the room and plugged it into a wall Ethernet connection. With the router I could either use Ethernet or wireless. -
Mine has always gone through within 1-3 days. If you still have the Agents only Phone number do a conference call with your agent and the Agent Only line. I never really have this problem and just have my agent transfer it. If he has a problem he handles it. If for some reason he needs my help he conferences me in.

Generally Sky Suites receive an e-mail with questions from the shoreside concierge. Upper suites get a phone call. Luminae does not take reservation. You just show up when you wish to dine. Rarely there will be a wait and they ask you to go to the Retreat and will call you when your table is ready. The shows do not have reservations but on Chic night there is reserved seating up until 5-10 minutes before the show. The butlers will be there to let you into the reserved roped of seating area.
