  1. Honestly I don't give a darn about their rating. The only reason I posted it was that it I found it incredibly laughable.
  2. They have a 14 day rotation of menus for all Restaurants. They usually always start with day one but I've seen that they also move it around to match with Chic Nights.
  3. Not sue if they discontinued but they use to have sewing kits in Suites. I'm sure it isn't just a suite perk but I have had a small repair done by calling my Butler. I tore a seam out of the cuffs of my pants. He took it to the laundry and was back within hours. I know they have sewing machines on board because they also monogram or write your name on the PJ's for upper suites. If not in a suite I'm sure you could just ask your stateroom attendant.
  4. You can select either RF or NR. The pricing will be whatever promotion is in place at time of booking. You can check the pricing in advance by doing a mock booking and there is an option to change to a Refundable. It is a rather high surcharge.
  5. I've been watching Apex recently on Cruise Mapper - They show the current location and also speed. They hare and have been cruising at 18 Knots which is the normal cruising speeds of all the ships. I've have on occasion seen them crank it up to 21 Knots which is close to max to catch up when a ship has had a medical emergency. I believe the rumor of problems came about due to some of the summer Norwegian Cruises having ports skipped or modified due to slower speeds. I believe these are speed restriction being put in place to limit sea life and whale destruction. The same thing happened last year along the California West Coast due to migration.
  6. FBC use to have some really good promotional rates, especially for one way Business Class. They were hit really bad due to Covid and since have for the most part shifted to Full Fare Refundable Fares. I have only booked with them once since the resumption of cruising as their rates are the same or higher than booking direct with an airline. Negative of booking - If flights change you have to call in and have them change your flight as oppose to just calling the airline and changing. This is especially important if you have problems on day of flilght. Positive - You can book 11 months and not pay for it until Final Payment. You can also cancel during this period and get 100% refund. The reason I booked with them was I was shopping for a better Air Rate and booked with them. The airline late dropped their rate about 3 months before cruise so I cancelled and re-booked direct.
  7. I have to say BA use to be a good airlines but has gone in the tanks. Sometimes BA is the only choice and shocked by their charges. I recently booked a flight LHR to Barcelona in full fare Business Class. They charge to pick seats. The only airline I've ever experience that hit Business class passengers with a fee to select seats.
  8. Most ports you can go ashore after embarkation. You just bring your SeaPass card with you and use that to board. When we did a B2B there we were told we need to be back to the ship 1 1/2 hour prior to departure. One port we recently experienced that did not allow you to go ashore after embarkation was Sydney. Once you are on the ship in Sydney you are not permitted back ashore.
  9. Yes but there may be a fee. If you are Onyx or above they waive this fee. I would think if you used Refundable you would get regular chips as oppose to Promotional.
  10. Agree ---- I guess many don't understand that the reason they put the blocks in place is due to people discussing it on threads like this. When you advertise holes in the system you are inviting Celebrity to find a way to block further use of Slots
  11. Happy it worked out for you. Now --- 45 day count down begins.
  12. Never seen Bocce Ball on any Celebrity Ship I've see Crockett on S-Class with the Lawn Club. I would think you would need some type of a Clay Court in order to play Bocce and even then might be disruptive is someone had a room under a court.
  13. You are100% correct. All others are on Port. Unfortunately I have not seen them enforce the Cigar Smoking at Sunset Bar Only.
  14. The App can be used without an internet package while on the ship but very limited capabilities - view your account, control lights and AC on some ships, messaging to other guests on the ship etc. All you have to do is select the Ships Guest Wifi. You then create an account with a User Name and 4 digit code using your Portfolio Number (found on seapass). You can the select either your Wifi Package or choose the free option. You should put your phone on Airplane Mode while at sea to prevent surprise charges to your cell carrier.
  15. I had a similar situation where Oceania had cancelled a port which I had booked an excursion. I found there is no way to cancel or change on-line. I had to call in to cancel and refunded. BTW - The phone was answered on the first ring with no wait time and was quickly resolved.
  16. I know that a friend, @abbydancer2003 was interested in having it each evening and requested it and they served it as requested. Maybe she will see this.
  17. My experience has been the same on all S-Class. Smoking Port side Deck 5 - Mid-ship , Designated area on Port Side Swimming Deck adjacent to entrance to OVC, Port Mast Bar and the Sunset Bar port side. They on occasion move the one on Deck 5 due to winds and in port when fueling on Port Side it is moved to Starboard.
  18. I believe the OP is referring to the frozen Granitas which was once served after the appetizer and before the main course. They use to have a different flavor each night. The Amuse Bouche is served prior to the Appetizer
  19. Two different products. While they are owned by the same company they are very different. While I have never cruised RCL my understanding of reading these boards for 15+ years is that RCL generally have much larger ships with many amenities that appeal to families with children - e.g. rock climbing walls, Surf Rider, Water Slides etc. Celebrity generally appeals to families without children or ones that are happy not to have the amenities for children. I would say RCL probably attracts a younger passenger group with much more energy as oppose to a more upscale Celebrity more relaxed atmosphere. Not sure it would matter much on a Med cruise as they tend to be very port intensive.
  20. I called today since I had not been credited back for a booked excursion - Oceania change the port. The call went through on the 1st ring and the agent was very helpful and cancelled the excursions returning my OBC and refunding the overage to my Credit Card. My booking is under Simply More - She confirmed that the $600 Excursion Credit could only be used for excursions.
  21. I really enjoyed the article also --- He is such a diverse actor.
  22. My personal opinion is that priority baggage service is again just advertising. We only travel Suites and even when dropped off at the Suites Only area I can't say I notice any quicker than when I just drop it with the first porter I see.
  23. The Plus One additional in an earlier section says - Up to $500 Plus Best Promotion Available at time of booking. So Probably the current flash sale of 75% off 2nd Guest - or other promotion like Military, Senior or Resident discount. Personally I find that very rarely is there really a sale. Most of the time they play a shell game and raise the fare and then discount with about the same net price.
  24. hmmm.. I think you are confusing a couple things. If you have a RD and changed to a NR deposit but would expect to pay the new $900 deposit, if you booked it on board you may loose your onboard Credit (it happened to me). Once you have a NR deposit if you decide to cancel you will loose the deposit - $900 for a non-suite but as you suggested could move it to a different cruise for $200.
