  1. A article with are fair bit from Angie Stephens (RC Asian manager) ,hoping to bring Icon to Asia ?? Also TUI home porting in Singapore. https://cruisepassenger.com.au/tips-advice/destinations/lines-like-celebrity-cruises-and-msc-return-to-asia-but-one-player-is-pulling-out-of-the-region/
  2. I think @springaussiewas right with Radiance, I thought it was something bigger.
  3. Well I’m not just referring to the current mechanical issues. There seems to be a ongoing saga of disappointments for passengers. From embarking, entertainment, constant canceled shore tours, canceled ports . Someone must be responsible in the chain of command.
  4. I was on a couple of cruises back and it was much the same. On boarding we were given a flyer Mystery Island was canceled .First disappointment We spent 3 days,2 nights at anchor in Vila, most of the time we couldn’t get off. Second disappointment. We requested a overnight in Noumea in compensation and it didn’t happen. We dropped a medical evacuation into Noumea and went back out to sea and did circles for 18 hours. Third disappointment. The captain is more than just a captain he is the CEO of the ship. And that captain is a meat head.
  5. All respect Graham Ovation seems to be a comedy of errors. Sure there’s mechanical issues, medical evacuations but it seems to be ongoing. @resordanisis pretty switched on .
  6. I don’t believe that . Im afraid the captain is just a meat head. You have the emails addresses ??
  7. Didn’t they get a ship almost as big into a partial dry dock in Newcastle about 3 years ago? They put a box under one of the azipods
  8. Just check your account balance. I found the TV was wrong but the app was correct. If , as you said , just go back to guest service and put it back in. But I did it last Tuesday.
  9. There used to be another way but I can’t confirm you can still do it. What you had to do is go to guest service and remove you credit card as a guarantee on your account. And set up a cash account. It used to be possible to get a cash advance against you onboard account to tip your cabin attendant. But , as I said,no one can confirm if it can still be done that way.
  10. Yeh those cougars, uncle Les has wised me up. Now for the OBC . I cashed out $400US on last Tuesday so it does still work . Now to explain how , I sure someone is going say I’m wrong. The casino is different to the ship ,it’s casino Royal, I believe it has links to MGM gaming. What you have to do is transfer money from your Ship account (RCCL)to the casino (Casino Royal). It’s a legitimate expense against your ship account and now it can be cashed out . You can get a instruction card from the cashier but here’s what it looks like. Dard board,I don’t really know.
  11. It got a rope around one of the propellers a couple of weeks ago. If it’s got to go into a full dry dock,Singapore is the only place in the pacific. It might be something internal and they just need parts.
  12. Yes ovation, I usually don’t do those kind of cruises but we booked it years ago for someone’s birthday. After being canceled a couple of times during the pandemic here we are but they are a hoot of a time. If you want to try the big ship ,a Tasmania cruise is a good value cruise.
  13. OK , I’m a bit rusty but I thought you could ask for a cash advance, so say to tip someone.
  14. $500 U.S .non refundable. We have a suite and it was lifted and shifted from a couple of years ago. It’s mine and I want it . come on @arxcardsyou have a answer to everything.
  15. That’s where young innocent fellows need @NSWPhelp and guidance
  16. I have a 2 night sampler cruise coming up and I have a pretty good OBC I want to cash out . Are the casinos open? The ship will probably just be off the coast.
  17. I have a 2 night booze cruise out of Sydney and have a pretty good OBC and it looks like because it’s a domestic cruise the casino will be closed. I just want to run this past the gurus to cash it out. From what I understand I have to set up a cash account and not give my credit card and go to guest service and get a cash advance. Am I on the right track here?
  18. Do your maths there uncle Les . 7500 passengers, 1 in 100 passengers are cougars . ??? !!! I don’t think ever you could keep up .
  19. Well it floats and seems to be ahead of schedule. Start Icon 2 .
  20. I thought uncle Les was the only couch lizard around here .
