  1. Never had that problem. Maybe it's because I only use the plug to charge my shaver and trimmer and use them while wireless? Or maybe I've just been lucky. 🤷‍♀️
  2. Sorry to hear you went through that. FWIW, they do unlock from the outside on Oasis class (unless you engage the extra deadbolt type lock from the inside).
  3. Never been on a Royal ship that doesn't have one. As mentioned, it's in the ceiling.
  4. I bring a small electric beard trimmer for cleaning up sideburns/spots. It's smaller than my hair clippers but same basic idea so I don't see why not.
  5. That would be pretty cool on a ship. It was cool enough to step outside the hotel/cabin we were staying in in Fairbanks. We were surprised how quickly we adjusted, especially after spending a very long day getting there from Orlando. We even had to be up at like 5-6am to take a trip to the Arctic Circle the next day. It was probably the excitement of going on such a big vacation for us. We obviously love our numerous Caribbean cruises but driving an hour to PC to sail for 7 nights isn't quite the same as an 18 day land/sea adventure in Alaska. 🤣
  6. We do the same. Just quicker than phone for us.
  7. Sounds like our pool. At least it’s small and the money we waste maintaining it isn’t too bad. If we could go back in time, it wouldn’t be there. Oh well.
  8. He can test the hearing aid thing at home right now. Just have him put his phone in airplane mode and turn Bluetooth on.
  9. They do tend to disappear and reappear, often just before a cruise in my experience. Then they reappear on boarding day with updated info.
  10. Once we're retired or close enough to being more flexible, I'd probably be for rooting for one too.
  11. When sailing alone and frugally we have found ours anywhere from just down the hall to who knows where. I know what you mean. Since my generous FIL is treating the family to GS's on Wonder next month, it should be a breeze since they're all on Deck 17 surrounding the SL/CK. After that, it's back to treasure hunting. 🤣
  12. Yes. We have gone to get our luggage from the "staging area" as part of our normal routine for quite a while now. It saves the crew member some work to bring it to our door and we get to unpack asap (our preference) so we see it as a win-win. Well worth taking a walk down the hallway for us.
  13. You should be able to view it in the app.
  14. I've cruised with my niece twice, as recently as last May, and Royal has always done a great job taking care of her. The bigger issue might be that she only eats like 5 things, lol. We'll see if Mason Jar can make that cinnamon roll without the nuts (for me, not her). Seems like a doable request but you never know how pre-prepared some items are.
  15. Very possible. My wife I ate there on Indy in both July and October. We enjoyed the burgers and garlic parm fries and the onion rings. I'm also a big fan of their Goalpost Margarita and "The Pitch". Not sure if we'll eat a full meal there this time since it's a family cruise in suites but I'll definitely stop in for a few drinks and possible a snack or two. Thanks for reiterating the Mason Jar info. 75% of that menu looks good to me so happy to hear we can just order a bunch of stuff for the table (there will be 8 of us). Unfortunately we have to skip a couple items b/c my young niece has severe nut allergies... which just means as long as we like it, my wife and I will have to go back for the cinnamon bun and peanut butter stuffed french toast next trip. 😁 We're in the middle of planning another Wonder cruise for March.
  16. Good tip. We've watched from deck 7 before in one of those public areas.
  17. Yes. that was a post-covid restart thing. We are back to advanced reservations now. That said, as mentioned above, only the comedy shows are difficult to attend without reservations. Just use the standby line. Also, from what I've read, a certain % of reservations for each show are withheld for booking onboard so try to again once you board.
  18. You can just about wear whatever you want in the Caribbean and Alaska (no swim wear or tank tops of course). The dressiest I ever get in the Caribbean is khakis and a polo or short sleeve casual button down shirt. I have read that people dress up more in Europe but someone else will have to address that.
  19. I thought it was so CC members would be able to find you. 👀
  20. How does ordering brunch at Mason Jar work? One entree plus a dessert per person? More than one? My SIL just booked it for our family cruise next month so naturally I need to spend 30 days preparing my order. 😁
  21. You can get espresso based drinks... lattes, cappuccino, etc. It's a self-serve machine not just a giant coffee dispenser like elsewhere on the ship.
  22. This was a very temporary breakdown; it was fixed by the next day. I have read about the various scenarios already mentioned though. Glad I've never had to go through a full week of the machine not working.
