  1. How's the parking there? I only sail from PC because it's so close and I don't really care for ships below Voyager class but we were considering some cruises out of Tampa b/c of price (and it's only slightly farther away).
  2. Some rude Diamond members have also been known to slip into the SL when the DL coffee machine was broken just to grab some cappuccino to-go. The nerve of some people.
  3. Thanks for sharing the review. 30 days out from our first time on Wonder.
  4. I can imagine. We're not big picture people. The one time we made sure to take tons of pictures was our 18 day land/sea trip to Alaska in 2018. That accounts for 90% of the pictures I have saved on my phone. My sister-in-law, however, is nuts about pictures and buys a giant photo package every family cruise. I was in her RC account yesterday checking something as I was booking shows for all 8 of us (reservations had just opened for our 6/4 on Wonder) and saw she had already purchased it a while ago for $149. She doesn't follow CC or cruise as much as we do so when I told her people were freaking out b/c Royal doubled the price and whatever she bought was now $299 she had quite the reaction. This is totally random, but since I'm responding, I found a really long review I wrote after a 2017 Oasis cruise (without pictures, it looks like a dissertation)... and you were the first one to comment on it (positively of course). 🙂 Just thought I'd share.
  5. As frugal D members (approaching D+), we always take pictures just so we can spend some time finding "2 good ones" to use our freebies on... then they get tossed in a drawer likely never to be seen again. 🤣 Some day my wife will replace the super old cruise photos of us and extended family with more recent ones.
  6. Nope, doesn't bother me in the least. If you order a drink in the MDR, in the theater, from a server at the pool, from a server at Cococay... you don't see your drink made. They go to a bar and come back with it. If it's that big of a concern to you, you should only order from bars you walk up to yourself and wait.
  7. Well I hope the numerous posts in this thread assuring you that you will get into all the shows you want and that the comedy show is indeed free have made you less upset and less confused.
  8. Yes, DL is much nicer when it’s up in the Viking Crown on smaller classes. On Oasis class I mostly only go down to the basement for the coffee machine.
  9. Use the website not the app. Go to your cruise planner & click on the entertainment section.
  10. Yeah, they tasted like funky plain seltzer water to me, very little fruit flavor. Wild Berry & Pineapple I think are the other flavors on the ship. I prefer ones based on lemonade or iced tea in general.
  11. And I always forget to have cider (which I knew was included), it's something I've hardly ever tried (not a huge drinker on land but when it's included...). I'm fine with beer, I just prefer other options. As for the Truly, I much prefer the strawberry lemonade to the other flavors the ships have. It's like drinking soda to me, doesn't really feel like you're drinking alcohol. To each his own.
  12. All correct. I haven't done this in maybe 6 years but after booking a last minute cruise, I knew I had to do standby for the comedy club so I went down there almost an hour before the showtime to be the first in line (it was important to us, we like comedy clubs & I had a beverage to keep me company until my wife joined). This of course increased our chances of getting in and we did along with maybe 10 other people. I think that was Oasis. Where there's a will there's a way.
  13. Sometimes I think I'm the only person who mentions hard seltzer. Either people are just saving time by typing beer/wine or the hard seltzer fad is so over that I'm the only lame one drinking Truly instead of beer or cider. 🤣
  14. Those plus the adult comedy show. Booked everything for our June 4th cruise this morning when reservations opened for a party of 8 with ages 9-70+ (3 generation family cruise). That sure was fun! 🤣
  15. As others have said, there are some reservations held for booking onboard and you can always get into a show via the standby line. It's not like a sold out Broadway show or major sporting event. Don't stress. Also, there is no pay comedy show.
  16. More anecdotal data showing it's pretty random... my June 4th Wonder reservations opened early this morning (31 days out).
  17. You should doubt it from the start b/c only a small % will win a bid. That said, you can win as late as embarkation day so being a few weeks out doesn't mean anything. GL!
  18. That's annoying. It happens although it hasn't happened to me in a while. I'm also not an MDR fan and haven't used one there in a long time. If GS is ever busy and it works for you, I have had the DL concierge fix that sort of thing for me before.
  19. Yeah, I'm trying to find a compromise between booking as soon as itineraries are released and my old m.o. of booking late. The good news is we already had Wonder on the books for next month b/c it's a family cruise my in-laws booked last June and we can't sail again for a little while anyway. I'm considering a decent (or at least not terrible for now) price for Wonder next March. We're somewhat limited to a school schedule even though we have no kids b/c my wife is a teacher so that doesn't help. She had a slightly different position this school year that allowed us to jump on Indy last October for $129pp for 4-nights (GGG sale). The sales had similar pricing for 4-5 straight weeks. I would have gone more than once if she was willing to take more time off. Apologies for the off-topic rambling. Looking forward to my second ever Sky Class experience on this upcoming Wonder cruise. I'm too frugal to pay for it but it's definitely a nice experience.
  20. Thanks, I know people laughed but it was a serious question. I was genuinely curious. Before prices went nuts, I had always booked late deals or waited for a GGG sale since we live an hour from PC. I'm just trying to adjust to the new normal.
  21. Define "decent group rate" for a plain old interior, just curious.
  22. I liked every ship better once I hit Diamond. They all started giving me free fancy coffee and free alcohol. (It wasn't a serious comment)
