We do too.

B/c different people have different tastes and preferences? I can't stand any ship smaller than Voyager class. They feel claustrophobic to me. I need a promenade. Others love the older, smaller ships. Different strokes...

There was a night light in the 1BR GS and the OS.

My SIL suggested the family suite on Wonder for next June's family cruise. FIL's response (to his daughter)... "I'm not living with you!" 🤣

Very much too bad in my case. I'm doing a B2B 3 and 4-night out of PC in 20 days. Nothing against Indy, I'm looking forward to going back on Freedom class for the first time in forever, but it would be pretty great on Allure.

RC knows, the people who book as soon as cruises are released know. I don't personally care either as I don't book that far out but it doesn't make the fact that it's doing short cruises out of PC any less true.

January-April 2024 it is doing the short cruises I mentioned out of PC. Info from the RC website of course.
-
It will be doing 3 and 4-night Bahamas/Cococay cruises for a few months in PC.

As someone who pretty much only cruises the Caribbean in the Summer, I am generally comfortable in either pants or shorts with a short sleeve shirt at night.

COASTAL KITCHEN BREAKFAST/LUNCH MENUS
OCSC Mike replied to wolfganghowell's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No "anytime menu", at least on Harmony recently. And yes, I noticed some of what you mean although it was my first time in CK. I can say some unique lunch items, the ribs specifically, were delicious. Hardly ate lunch there though. -

No pool in the Harmony Solarium. I'd rather have Oasis back here at PC for a few reasons but since we're getting Wonder, I won't complain. -

Enjoyed many breakfasts and most of the dinners I had in CK on Harmony recently. Rodrigo who oversees it is hilarious, friendly, and great at his job. Enjoy! p.s. Try the ribs for lunch when/if they have them. -
I'm only Diamond and about to take a 3 and 4-night B2B. Have only taken one short cruise ever. Didn't even think about the internet benefits (one day in my case) being the same until I booked this and it kinda makes no sense but I'm not complaining.

Anything is possible but what most people will tell you is that you did not win and you will receive your rejection emails after your board on night 1. As stupid as that may sound, that seems to be the experience of many who have gone through this. 🤞 for you though. I'm 21 & 24 days out from a B2B with bids on both halves and don't expect to win but who knows?

And yes you can use them for water bottles at a bar. You can also bring on a 12-pack of water bottles per cabin I believe.

Has anyone had a Royal Up that went "bad"
OCSC Mike replied to sunlover2's topic in Royal Caribbean International
How can you bid on the category you already have? AFAIK, your listed options will only be for higher categories, but maybe I'm wrong. Also, have you called and asked about moving to another JS if one is available? -
Covid question for 12 year old
OCSC Mike replied to Cruiser 5452's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes (under the current terms at least). -
That was also one of my guesses. Thanks. As an aside, the interiors are actually showing as sold out on this particular sailing (yes I know that's not a completely accurate measurement) so perhaps they may want to open some up. A man can hope...

Yes, there is no strictly enforced dress code, merely recommendations. MDR dress has gotten more and more relaxed over the years. You'll see plenty of pants and polos even on formal night. Shorts are not a big deal.

From what I've gathered, no one has a good handle on how exactly RC determines who wins and who doesn't. It's definitely not a straight auction, highest bid gets that category room, situation. Here's an example... On an upcoming cruise, I have an interior GTY booked (we don't really care a ton about our room unless it's a suite tbh, but that's not important). We bid small amounts on a few RoyalUps. One was a panoramic ocean view (not the suite). Someone else on one of my roll calls had a regular OV and bid their min of $15pp on the panoramic OV and won with over 3 weeks to go. We didn't bid a lot but it was definitely higher than $15. Any guesses on something like this? Perhaps they factor in what the other party paid originally (more than us no doubt as we're in the cheapest category and it was a TA friends & family rate)? Perhaps they wanted to free up an OV rather than an interior? Admittedly I'm jealous, lol, but more curious about the mysterious RoyalUp algorithms.

Some mid-cruise observations on Allure
OCSC Mike replied to doppelganger2621's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Glad to hear you're having such a great cruise! My BIL/SIL will be on Allure next month. We were on Harmony a few weeks ago and have sailed Oasis-class several times. Have had a great time on each one!
