  1. Because you deem it stupid & boring that means you can't understand why others enjoy it? There are plenty of things on a ship I personally dislike or have no interest in but I understand why others do. Different strokes... that's the beauty of cruising.
  2. My best guess is that they wanted to finalize the inaugural date for Star before releasing those last Wonder 7N's and they wanted to release Star all by itself to increase the hype... but who knows? Short Caribbean was always scheduled to be released in February.
  3. I don’t remember exactly what it looks like off the top of my head but you should see each person once check-in opens & be able to just go down the list (if they are all linked).
  4. Try clicking on “Select a different cruise” and adding the info of the other reservations in your party.
  5. My first cruise ever as well... Honeymoon in 2002. "OMG, there's an ice rink on a ship?!?"
  6. You should see everyone's reservation in the app if they are linked. You can check right now. Some aspects are personal preference. It's better to check-in with the app if you're planning to grab an arrival time at midnight b/c you can just choose that and fill in everything else later (via either method). If you use the website, you have to enter all the info before choosing an arrival time. I use both. I use the app to grab my arrival time and later to scan my passport and enter most info. The one thing I like using the site for (via my phone browser) is uploading a photo rather than having to take a selfie via the app. Hope this helps.
  7. 10:30am. One caveat... I have only sailed the bigger ships from Terminal 1, never the smaller ship from Terminal 5, but I assume it would also be 10:30am. Hopefully someone else can confirm. Also, if you insist on using the website, just be aware you need to enter all your info that way. If you use the app, you can just choose your arrival time and worry about everything else later.
  8. On Wonder? WJ offerings, especially cook-to-order stations, vary greatly by ship.
  9. I was never interested in Icon class for various reasons and after reading a live blog involving several people on the inaugural plus your comments, I have even less interest. The added food venues (the ones in the Aquadome I think with the crepe and greek places) are the only aspect that appeal to me. Otherwise I'd rather just keep sailing Oasis class (especially Wonder) for less money. We love our Oasis class routine and I'm a creature of habit anyway. Icon class just isn't for me.
  10. Just one man's opinion but I did not care for it. The peacefulness was great and we split a palapa with that couple we met as close to the water as we could get... but the drinks were terrible and food wasn't great either. The frozen drinks were icy and tasteless so I switched to margaritas which were weak but fine. The food was so-so. If the food/drink isn't super important, I'm sure you'll have a fine time. We're trying Paradise Beach this summer b/c the food (unlimited, not 4-courses) and drinks have gotten very good reviews lately. It's obviously not as quiet as Nachi so we splurged on a daybed. There's also a 10% off promo code from that other blog site you've posted at. I'm sure you've noticed, food is important to me, lol.
  11. The 6-8N Caribbean cruises were technically already released... so it's unclear exactly when Wonder's remaining 7N cruises would be released (assuming my assumption is correct) but there are cruises being released next week and the week after so I would keep an eye out.
  12. They actually did change the signage at some point and added some of the ELF art work. I think the official name is "Wipeout Cafe featuring ELF" or something.
  13. "Mini-bites" and it ranks as my least favorite dining venue (which is saying a lot if you know me or have seen my posts about food).

  15. And don't trust the app for available time slots. We wanted to change a time we had pre-booked for Sabor for that evening. The app said there was nothing available. We went to the host and were offered ANY time we wanted. She thanked us for telling her the app was showing it as basically fully booked. It was a ghost town that night. We felt bad for our wonderful server. Who knows how many additional tips she may have received from people who looked in the app and assumed there was no availability.
  16. There are spots by the Oasis pool where you can hear the music but it's not really a party in my experience unless you're right by the DJ or bar. We've sat in the same spot maybe half a dozen times now, walking distance from the Oasis Bar, ear shot of the DJ, but definitely not loud.
  17. You can definitely use the standby line for shows. They also hold back a % of reservations for booking onboard. We booked Allure maybe a month out for a late October cruise and booked a few things that were still available but once onboard there were plenty of additional time slots available. We also had to move both of our specialty dinner reservations once onboard b/c our itinerary was changed 2 days before the cruise due to weather and that was no problem whatsoever either.
  18. Not to me, even at the $19.99 price I can get for my March Wonder cruise... but value is subjective. You can only answer it for yourself based on the info you have.
  19. We did 10 days DIY on land before our Radiance southbound in 2018 (with much planning by an outside company). I can't speak to RC's land tours but I will say do whatever lets you spend as much time on land as possible. Long review in my signature if you're interested. Happy planning!
  20. That's the main thing that deters me besides my soon-to-be D+ perks. I'm a creature of habit and enjoy my RC routine. Obviously I'd survive trying another line but my brain doesn't like the idea of being clueless, lol.
