  1. I would have to say our 64 day "World Cruise Liner" on the Sea Princess in 2015. It was booked as one cruise, but it was three segments of the World Cruise. We flew from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia. We spent four days in Sydney, pre-cruise. Then around southern Australia up through the Suez Canal, Eastern and Western Mediterranean, British Isles, Iceland, trans-Atlantic, ending in New York. Then flew back to San Francisco. We love repositioning cruises, adding an itinerary or two B2B2B before hand on both Atlantic and Pacific crossings. This was that on steroids!
  2. Thank You, I agree. Enough of the bad jokes. Can we just let this topic rest until @HOST CJSKIDS gets back to us?
  3. Post #87 quotes you and answers all of your questions. Princess does have a disclaimer about email.
  4. Yes, me also, but it did take a while, a long while. I don't think that it is worth it to go for the drinks.
  5. I'm glad someone finally got it right! Also, it is not a dedicated location on the ship (not on the deck plans). It varies by ship as well as the number of platinum, elite and suite passengers. That being said, on the Ruby, it is a safe bet that it will be in Skywalkers.
  6. There is not much detail here, but a visit to medical might be a good idea to get a medical reason to leave the cruise early so a PVSA penalty can be avoided.
  7. Elites still get head of the line for Tenders. There is also 10% off on Shore Excursions. I'm not defending Princess, yes the Elite benefits are dwindling. But give credit where credit is due.
  8. Very true. For one thing, a common mistake is trying to find Princess stock.
  9. Found my answer and deleted my question.
  10. I make a special point on the last couple of days to tip a couple of bucks to all that keep the restrooms clean and toilet paper and paper towels in that neat tri fold.
  11. Says the woman that brags about cheating (rum runners). lol 😉🙃😘 Definitely meant to be light hearted, not mean.
  12. As well as if you are not sober and are abusive, whether you've had your 15 or not, the bartender can cut you off.
  13. Are these Princess Cruises? I've spent quite a bit of time at quite a few bars on quite a few Princess ships, and have never seen a drink poured that was not measured. They are very clever, they will pour the jigger and keep pouring from the bottle. It looks good, BUT they poured the jigger before it was full and the "after" bottle pour is showmanship. You get neither a short, nor long pour. For me, it is all fun, we chat up the bartenders and servers. We take longer cruises, and tip a little extra weekly, not a bribe beforehand, just a nice gesture every week. The service, nor size of the pour changes after the tip, just the same consistent great service from day one.
  14. My experience is that Princess, no matter what the OBC is called, only differentiates between refundable and non-refundable. The totals for each category is shown. Shipboard charges, no matter what are subtracted from the total OBC, first from the non-refundable, then from the refundable. That way, any actual cash you added to your account, and any refundable Military OBC left over are protected and can be refunded without a lot of bookkeeping.
  15. For safety reasons, that something we never thought might happen, I would definitely find a way to do officially.
  16. I use the throw pillows from the bed. They fit perfectly, are easy to get to and I just throw them back onto the bed in the morning.
  17. I was appalled when I first read this 😉. I thought it said ladies. Silly me.
  18. I just move the throw pillows from the bed to in front of the nightstands each night. Blocks the light and sensor and is a perfect fit. Then throw it back onto the bed in the morning.
  19. For twin, maybe, certainly not a queen and definitely not a king.
  20. Even at two drinks a day, I find the package convenient, and yes, I get "played" by Princess, and do get adventurous and try different drinks. Why not, they are "free". Add a water, a coffee here and there, and the package gets even better. Rum Runners used to be fun, now, to me, convenience is more fun. Of course who am I to say. I have probably never had (only) two drinks a day on a cruise. 😁 At the end of the day, it is all good. Life would be boring if everyone had the same likes and dislikes.
  21. This is killing two birds with one stone. 1. They make points with the passenger. 2. They make the tips on two drinks. Win, Win!
