  1. Hello first time travelers to Amsterdam. Staying 3 days pre cruise. Looking at hotels, and Hotel Estherea sounds great but doesnt seem to bundle breakfast in to price although can be purchased separately, Radission Blu sounds good and central, all although both very different I like the possibility of either one for their location. I realize both are different in terms of charm, decor. Anyone have any recommendations in Amsterdam or anyone stayed at either mentioned here.
  2. Thanks .i have googled and see. Excellent reviews but Was just curious from a cruiser how timely the bus was , and was curious from a fellow GOT fan on these boards . I could also ask ChatGPT as wwll
  3. Has anyone taken independent ship excursion tours offered by Paddywagon Tours What was your experience. Looking to book for Dublin and Cork.
  4. So we will be in the Belfast on one of our cruise stops and as major Game of Thrones fans we are thinking of taking the Game of Thrones studio tour. They have buses that leave from Belfast port to studio and back. Has anyone done this and if so how was

  6. On Sea days , so no one can use sky lounge on sea says due to Auction s ? What time are the auctions generally ?
  7. In Aug 2023 while on a Princess ship many got Covid. We did not . I have found that if you are extremely careful , it may greatly help . Keep hand sanitizer in purse or pocket at all times, in dining room, after touching menus, clean up, try not to use the public bathrooms so if you can go back to cabin try to, I do avoid the buffet , but we used to avoid it before Covid as well. But again, you can have a carefree time by just being more careful .
  8. Again , you can go to celebrity website and find these negative reviews along with a lot of very positive as well . So Celebrity does not believe in censorship and allows all reviews positive or negative and bravo to Celebrity for that . I pulled these from Celebrity and not some random site
  9. So is this on every Eclipse cruise that Sky Lounge is never available except to Park West ?
  10. I am booked on a June 2025 British Isles out of Amsterdam. We haven’t cruised Celebrity since 2006 and did four cruises between 2000 and 2006 on Galaxy , Mercury and Century and we loved ships and food. Since then it’s been most.y Princess and Royal. Reading reviews on Celebrity website I see many many bad reviews for Eclipse, bad food , worn ship, lazy crew etc. I know Eclipse is set for a refurbishment ,ent in April 2025 so that should help some of the decor, but the food. ? We always loved Celebrity’s food and service . Has it gone down in quality and does it vary from ship to ship ?
  11. Hi i have a hold on two cabins #6212 and 6215 both midship . Has anyone ever stayed on deck 6 on Eclipse and would we hear noise from deck 5 ?
  12. Has anyone on the princess boards ever disembarked at an earlier port, something called a route deviation or sector change. . . I am booked on the Regal April 28, 2005, and the last port of call on May 8 is Le Havre , France. Would I be allowed to disembark there , take a transport to Paris and do post cruise in Paris for a few Days. If any have on the boards have done anything like this, let me know your experiences, was it a major hassle to get this approval etc ? I know the risk involved is what if Le Havre port might be cancelled. But other than that risk, is it doable.
  13. @skynightthat is an interesting thought about getting off in Le Havre and using Paris on your own as transport . I will consider this , but as you say there is a risk the port could be cancelled ., . I usually prefer pre cruise land activities because we are usually zapped after the cruise . But again I thank you for this creative approach and might just reconsider and do Paris at my leisure post cruise . I will also wait to see if the Eastern Airway's flight from Paris to Southampton continues into April 2025 and if so we could fly to Paris , pre cruise , then fly on eastern airways to Southampton . and then the train to London is always an option . An overnight in London , catch a few things we missed in London last summer and even get a transport to Southampton .
  14. June 12, 2017 # We will be on. Princess British Isles cruise sailing out of Southhampton on April 28, 2025/on Regal Princess. We want to spend some days in Paris before the cruise, so I was wondering what is the best, fastest , most reliable way to get from Paris to a Southhampton. ? I think I’ve seen an airline called Eastern Airways provides a direct flight from Paris to Southhampton airport, but I’d like to hear from others who have done either that or train. And since the cruise is on a Monday , and we do choose to fly , who thinks it would be ok for a Saturday flight or a Sunday flight. Since there is only one flight I am almost a little worried that if a Sunday flight to Southhampton would somehow get cancelled then I would very little time to rebook with a train. We have been to London, so don’t need to go there unless the Eurostar only goes directly from Paris to London without any stops such as Southhampton. Or is there another train from Paris to Southhampton. All answers will,be greatly appreciated. also any hotels recommended in both Paris and Southhampton, UK.

  16. So we are booked on Regal for Apr 28, 2025 British Isles. We just cruised last Aug 2023 and it was called anytime dining in each of the three dining area. Now I see there are three dining rooms on Regal, one with what the app calls Traditional with 2 dining times in symphony with a choice of private tables but you get same waiter each night, then the open walk in dining no reservations in Allegro dining room, and Concerto with more times similar to the anytime dining I am used to , make a reservation go at different times and get a different waiter each night. For those that have experienced the change in dining from a time to a choice of three different types what are your experiences. We have for now chosen Symphony dining room traditional with private table at same time each night as we like to dine at 7:30.
  17. Well I have looked all over the FAQ and that statement that ocean now means delivery anywhere on ship even to stateroom and I don’t see it anymore. @ ceilidh1 where do you see this ?
  18. @Steelers36 that is not what it says in the new email.
  19. Disgusting. Which is it Princess ? I’m on the Sept 2 Sky princess , I’ve already been screwed by a mere 15 days ( Aug 19 sky change date ) and now there is more confusion about whether my room service via the app will be free once I activate the ocean now $14.99. Someone from princess needs to read this board and answer for this bait and switch again !!!
  20. I ordered watch bands and I have the yellow exclamation points as well. Been like this for over a week.
  21. @Outerdogif I’d have to guess… Princess is creating a “ frenzy “ by in my opinion deliberately showing you that book your own cabins are not available , in order to hold many suites available so they later jack up the price at a later date for others. So you get the lol discounted $5550 room at a guarantee while I bet they hold many unsold cabins to release later at higher price . I also-believe the new rules on plus and premier and downsizing standard which was a bait and switch, legal I’m sure but still a bait and switch, has created a frenzy among ,many to upgrade to something they wouldn’t have considered previously.
