  1. Did a family cruise on Princess last year and it was her older sister's birthday. This one doesn't embarrass easily so we'll have to get creative.
  2. Actually, we had Dominica originally and replaced it with St Lucia.
  3. We're in 7254. Our favorite on the Solstice class. Daughter has 7260. Only downside is our granddaughter's birthday fell in the April 22 sailing so we can't embarrass her at dinner. We'll just have to find another way. 😁
  4. We feel very fortunate that both cabins were still available. Thanks to Chris in Redeployment for taking care of this for us.
  5. We were booked on a 10Nt Ultimate Southern Caribbean on Silhouette for April 22, 2024. Our daughter was on the same cruise. She noticed that it no longer showed on a search. When I went into Manage Reservations, it showed up as a 13 Nt TA. A search for the Ultimate Southern comes up with an April 8 sailing. When I called X, the front line rep had no record of the April 22 sailing being canceled but did see the TA under our reservation number. So she transferred me to Redeployment. They were able to able to basically do a Lift & Shift to the April 8 sailing. Lower fare, 600 OBC, same cabin. They did the same for our daughter. We never got an email for this. Since the front line rep didn't have anything on the change, I'll give X the benefit of the doubt that it is very recent.
  6. Coming back we booked BCN to ATL to CLT to avoid long layovers. Went through JFK a couple of times and didn't care for it.
  7. May I ask what class you are flying? We just booked our return from Barcelona on Delta.
  8. We're on the same. First TA. The Solstice class are our favorite ships but we've had a spell with Princess the past few years to get the kids and grandkids on board. More for them on Princess. Looking forward to getting back with X.
  9. We spent a good bit of time in Crooner on CB last week and found it to be a good spot for the music from below. Loud enough to hear but not overpowering.
  10. DW banned my laptop for this cruise - can't imagine why. We drove down from Charlotte on Thursday and Friday. Weather was great. Only 2 tiny showers. Saturday morning we had a couple of bands of heavy rain but no problems. The boarding process for our November and March cruises were very quick - 20 minutes tops. Over 2 hours this time. Cabin - we were in C705. Very small. Tiny shower with leaky shower head - a guy finally came to fix it Friday evening, but he had no tools. 😆 Good balcony. Food - dinner in MDR very good. Lunch good. Breakfast underwhelming. Snacks and sandwiches from International Cafe all very good. Tried Marketplace once for lunch and were pleasantly surprised, though hard to find a table. Bars/Service - drinks inconsistent bar to bar. Found a very good server, Veronica, in Crooners. She took good care of us so we took care of her. In The Explorer Lounge we had to literally grab a server. Fun games and good entertainment in Explorer but drinks not so good. Debarkation very smooth and quick. Shuttle to our hotel just happened to arrive at the island in the lot same time as us. On the road by 9:00.
  11. Luc - guitarist plays a good variety. The house band, XTASEA, was very good.
  12. We stopped at El Convento for a snack. I ended up with a fruit bowl and DW a grilled chicken salad. Both were huge and delicious. Didn't need anything until dinner. We'll be back in Feb - should be a little cooler. 😀
  13. Sounds like you found a wormhole connecting Munich and Rome. 😀
  14. Nasty forecast for driving to Ft L but don't think it's related to Agatha. Port forecasts still look OK, but she could gain strength once she gets back over water. Assuming there is enough of her left.
  15. This is our first casino freebie and the promo was under my name. DW got a different promo for $200 casino credits. When we booked there was some question whether hers could be used with mine. Seemed like a no brainer to me but the booking agent seemed as new at this type as I was. Fortunately, the Travel Summary shows her credits as well as mine plus $200 OBC for each. So all is well. We don't usually have OBC - time to try the Crown Grill and maybe DW can do the spa while I'm watching golf in Churchill's.
  16. We have our first casino freebie coming up this Saturday. Our Travel Summary (online, not the silly app) shows DND Plus Drinks with Service Charge As long as I can get my Bourbon & Blood........
  17. I don't know that it's the data that's unreliable so much as the interface. That's all the app is. When we've gotten to the terminal, the data has been fine. The app is just a royal POS. Different developers and project managers, I think. One group good, the other not so much. Just MHO.
  18. I've been in IT since 1979 - having backup is ingrained in my psyche. Won't leave home without it. 😀
  19. So yesterday we were Yellow. Today we are back to Green. I did nothing at all to cause this to change. I haven't done anything with the app for weeks. What a great tool. 🤣
  20. We've never bothered with uploading our vax cards. We just show them at the port with the rest of our docs.
  21. We sail June 4 and have been green lane for some time. Just now I see our Arrival Time is Yellow. I know what I had selected so will just arrive based on that. Nothing to stress about.
  22. We'll be on June 4 so this is quite helpful. Planning to stay on board at Princess Cays regardless of the weather and just hang out by the pool. Two things if you happen to wander that way. Are the casino and Churchills open today? No bigee if you don't have a chance. Crooners was our goto pre-dinner bar. Got very fond of the Bourbon & Blood. Enjoy.
  23. I watched the sailaway on the Port Everglades webcam yesterday. Commented at the time how crowded it looked just from that.
  24. Yeah, I got that from the list posted earlier. There are several patterns. No bigee, we know what ship we'll be on. 😀
