I am contemplating for 2017. We are 5 adults and 3 kids (11, 8, 6). I have seen a little info but would like some input by the 'been there, done thats". Can anyone give me the pros/cons of booking the 3 rooms for our group. One pro would definitely be letting the kids go to bed at an earlier time while most of the adults can go play. This coming trip (2016) we have 3 separate cabins and it would involve at least 2 adults to stay 'babysit' in the different rooms. TIA Any info will be helpful.

I did think it a little odd; but I won't complain. Thanks MM, you always have a wealth of info.

As D+, on a 5 night cruise, do we still get 2 free consecutive days of VROOM? So DH & I would get 4 of the 5 days free?

We are cruising in 3 cabins with 3 grands plus parents and aunt. The kids will be room hopping for sleepovers. I purchased inexpensive cloth shower curtains ($8), DH made small, heavy duty hooks and attached them to the top of the curtains in 3 places (ends & middle). The magnets will hold a loop for the other end of the hooks and we will 'attempt to attach this to the ceiling. It will make for a room divider so the kids can sleep even tho' there's someone watching TV or reading. I'm hoping it works. If it does, after cruise I will post pictures. These will be easy to pack without adding much weight.

D+ were allowed in the Concierge Lounge on our May 5/9 night. There is also a D lounge forward, next to the Music Hall. It was always extremely crowded during the 'free drink' hours. The overflow went into the Music Hall.

I am thinking about purchasing the on-board texting for the family members sailing with us.
Can anyone explain how the purchase is made? We would not want to receive any other emails/messages/etc. I am guessing phones can't be in 'airplane mode'. How does the texting work? TIA

Thanks. I'll try it.

I did. They said they forwarded it to Anthem. I'm trying to avoid any issues once on board. That's why I was looking for more direct contact. I will bring the original email on board also

I was hoping to contact the Anthem dining dept. to double check that they received our special (needs) dining request that was forwarded to them. Does anyone know the email address to contact them? TIA

We will need extra room keys also. Can we go to Guest Services and request the extra keys prior to going to cabin? Possibly also using SetSail Pass. Boarding early and hoping there would be short lines to get extra keys for our 3 rooms.

Taking the 'grands' on Anthem. I think I remember someone posting about 'dividing' the cabin using a sheet so the kids can sleep earlier. Does anyone have any info or suggestions on how to do this? TIA

When are you going? DH & I are doing B2B Nov 20- Dec 4. If there is vb onboard I make it a point to play. Sometimes they have 'adult' only, sometimes 'open'. I do find it 'dangerous' (& annoying) for littler kids who don't know what they're doing. The ages of your's seems ok. Enjoy

Does anyone know if any of the pools & towel stations are 'open' once boarding begins? We are arriving early and wondered if the kids should have their swimsuits in their carry-ons. TIA

Where did you find the 'dispatcher'? How did you arrange to get an 8 passenger vehicle for the ride back from HSB? Does the vehicle drop/pick you up at the bottom of the big hill? TIA

We saw the 3 shows starting on May 5. WWRY was pretty good (kinda loud). We are going back on Anthem in June and taking the 3 grands. 10, 7, 5. We will 'babysit' the 5 y.o. for WWRY (too long for him to sit through and too loud for his sensory issues). The other 2: we will talk to the parents (who are also going) and decide if the 10 & 7 would enjoy them. The Gift... probably not. Spectra...maybe but iffy.

We got off Anthem last week. In the Grande, the dress code requires men to wear a jacket. If you don't have one, they loan you one. You can wear it in and then put it on the back of your chair if you like. The other 3 free restaurants (Chic, Silk, American Icon) were very casual; nothing was said to anyone about attire. You will see everything from shorts and t-shirts to slacks and nice tops.

Thanks Charles. unfortunately our group in 8 in total. I hear the mini van/taxi takes 7. Now I'm wondering if the 5 y.o. could be included and sit on a lap. Might be a tight squeeze with our beach stuff too... (pails, shovels, towels). At least taxi would be at the bottom of HSB 8-) hill I believe.

What form of payment can be used for the rentals (chair/umbrella) or food at Horseshoe Bay please? TIA
-
Is this year's shuttle to HSB still $16pp? Is there a different rate for kids? We have a 10, 7 & 5 y.o.

Thank you for the wonderful blow by blow trip. We board as you leave the ship tomorrow. If we have issues, we know who to blame. ;-)
Our anticipation was appeased by your information.

It appears the Anthem is docked with portside against the pier. Yes? Excited if it is; we will be there next Monday and in June and have a portside balcony both times.

We sail in 6 days (Anthem) We are planning on booking on board for a cruise May 2017. Can someone clarify this 'perk'? We NEVER have had an onboard bill of $500 (not big drinkers or spenders). How is the amount of the 'off our bill' on the sailing we are on work. Not sure I really understand what it means. TIA

I also, have booked a private tour with Bernard; not until November. I will be very interested in hearing about which beach would be enjoyable, other than Orient. Enjoy your trip. TIA for your info.
