  1. he's already recognized his error in the subsequent posts.
  2. you've been on this forum for so long, surely, you can't be the first person asking this.... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3004645-medallions-what-are-they/
  3. why would you need to prove your US citizenship in a foreign port? once again, the authorities in the other country would not be interested in your proving your US citizenship (which many cruisers don't even have). They would be interested in the legality of your presence in their country. A US birth certificate is definitely a great proof of US citizenship, by the way. How would not having your US passport on a beach in some other country prevent you from getting back on the ship? I think you are trying to invent some scary scenarios in order to justify bringing your passport with you to the beach or other excursion. You are free to do so, but you don't need to make other cruisers think that they must as well.
  4. Too bad. 🙂 It's right there on the US Dept of State website in the U.S. Passport Photos section: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/photos.html Do you have more tips to take a photo of a baby or toddler? Yes. Some tips include: Lay your baby or toddler on a plain white or off-white sheet, or cover a car seat with a plain white or off-white sheet. Make sure there are no shadows on your baby or toddler's face. It is okay if a baby's eyes are not entirely open. All other children must have their eyes open. The site even has examples of acceptable and unacceptable photos.
  5. but that's not what you said before. This is what I am asking for a link to:
  6. absolutely no concerns and would book again 100%! We liked both the location and the cabin itself. It was quiet and quite spacious for an interior room. I was afraid that we'd have motion sickness because it's a somewhat smaller ship and the cabin is forward, so I brought a ton of meclizine and dramamine with us, but never needed to use it. The only thing that was a little confusing to us at first since this was our first time on this ship, was disembarkation in the ports of call. We had to cross over to the midship elevators first and then go down to the gangway. At the beginning we kept taking elevators closest to us down first and were unable to cross over to the middle part of the ship. We had to go back, then up a little, cross over, and then go down to the gangway. So, remember - go to the midship elevators first and then down. 🙂 We didn't bid on a balcony because it was our first time on this ship and I didn't want to end up in a location I didn't like. While I am fine with having an interior cabin either forward, middle or aft, I do not want a balcony behind the "exhaust pipes." It's just me. I am particular. When it was time to bid, only deck 6 balconies were open to 3 people, and I didn't see anything I liked available, so I didn't bid. and that's exactly why I include the cabin number in my reviews. 🙂 I want people to find the information they are looking for when they are researching cabins. I hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we did!
  7. could we please have a link to this official information?
  8. you are supposed to lay them down on a white sheet instead of holding them up. 🙂
  9. Perhaps, the adult grandsons could pay for their own passports...
  10. since 6 month old babies cannot do art projects, theme parties or group games, I would assume that it doesn't mean them.
  11. and you are sure the final price is lower than what you booked? I repriced my cruise a couple of weeks ago and saved $400 off of the original price (no OBC, though). A week later this "great sale" with OBC started, but, alas, the base price increased, so even with OBC the overall price is higher than what I repriced it to. take screenshots for your CVP. It took mine a couple of days to get to it because she was in all day training.
  12. I would do this. Heck, when we bought a stand alone wifi package for 1 device, all three of us shared it just fine. DH checked in with work a couple of times a day, I checked the email once in a while and checked in with the petsitter, and kid played an occasional game on the phone/Switch using wifi. We cruise to cruise, not to spend 24/7 on our respective devices. We can do that at home for $70 a month.
  13. On our upcoming cruise we got an approval 4 weeks before the cruise. Our cruise is now fully sold out. In the past - much closer to the sailing.
  14. we got covid on 2 out of 6 cruises (June 2022 and April 2024).
  15. you could upload on youtube and then post the link to it
  16. what's with the crazy amount of unrelated quotes?
  17. our first time booking with VT, but just in case I looked up some hotels around - and Embassy Suites seems to have rooms available. So, we'll just walk over. Crowne and Comfort suites also have availability at this time.
  18. JamieLogical had a pretty bad experience a couple of weeks ago: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3004747-jamielogicals-live-from-the-enchanted-princess-54/page/5/
  19. it's the age. Mine was sick all the time from the time he started preschool at 4 and until about 2nd grade. He started cruising when he was 3 and only got sick on a cruise once, and it was our own friends' kid who got him sick (their kid was still sick when they boarded the ship with us). I do make sure to give him his regular vitamins and probiotics every day on the cruise, and take ALL imaginable meds with us as well. He also never sucked on his fingers. Oh, the "funny" thing is - we got covid on a cruise twice already, but our kid didn't.
  20. Princess has the same situation with gratuities as NCL... since you asked this same question last year on NCL board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2965822-daily-service-fees/
  21. we once ended up in a connecting (guarantee) cabin. Ugh. The other cabin had a toddler who screamed his head of every night for at least an hour.... It was a lot more audible because of the connection between the cabins.
  22. that's if you are not experiencing a medical emergency or are otherwise incapacitated and can't fend for yourself.
  23. if you have more than 2-3 people, it may make sense to take an uber to the port. There were 5 of us staying at the Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon and we took an xl uber (5 of us, 3 suitcases) for $27 plus tip.
