  1. and also doubtful that they would serve such specifically Southern items on a Hawaiian cruise.
  2. which in turn means that those of us actually traveling as 3 passengers are out of luck, because the only cabins we can book are booked by a couple with a fake 3rd person...
  3. boarding on 11/19 and will wear masks whenever we are inside as well (10 days). However, we found out the hard way that if you are the only ones wearing masks - they do not help as much as you hope. We got covid on our RCI Allure cruise this June (but our DS11 didn't)... A lot of the crew has also disappeared during that sailing (waiters, MDR hostess, etc.) We'll still wear them, though, at least to prolong our covid-free time on the ship, even though wearing them mostly protects those around us, and not necessarily US.
  4. did you order the medallion? what exactly do you mean by "not accept"?
  5. that's not how upgrades work. They will not upgrade as cabins become available, and if they have more than one bidder for the same cabin, why would you think YOU would win the bid? Also, for our upcoming cruise, even the cheapest balcony is almost the same price per person as I paid for all three of us in an inside. I paid $2,500 for all three of us, and right now balcony is $2,200 pp. So, my $150 pp bid from inside to balcony does not equal "an honest price for that cabin".
  6. did you check that you agree to receive email communications on the app and the website (your profile)? I didn't get my bid invites until I did that. Also, if you and your cruise are eligible, you will see this when you log in to manage your cruise under the Booking Summary:
  7. the chicken fingers were too fancy for my 10 yo. He hated them. And they didn't have honey mustard in MDR. He also hated spaghetti bolognese. Pizza at Sorento was way better than in MDR. He disliked the pepperonis on MDR pizza very much. DS loves Sorento pizza. He liked spaghetti marinara and grilled cheese at MDR. See if yours likes anything from the regular menu - mine liked some things, like cheese tortellini (loved them). Fancy chicken fingers: Pizza came with fries as a side. Oddly.
  8. I would double check your current cabin assignment asap.
  9. are you in a cabin for 2 or more? Looks like there are some balconies left for 2, but not for 3...
  10. well, our Thanksgiving Enchanted cruise doesn't have any non-deluxe balconies left for 3 people, so I don't think my bid (inside to balcony) will be accepted... And it only has literally a handful of deluxe balcony cabins left. Everything else is sold out (inside, mini, suites).
  11. the bid email says that if you don't pay for the bid because you don't like the location, you will go back to your original cabin.
  12. on one sailing we had $500 OBC for the 5 of us (that's a lot - never had that much before), so we still had $50 left by the end of the cruise. I didn't realize that it could be used for tips, so I set out to spend it - I bought a lovely collection of 5 trial size bottles of Versace perfumes. You could use them for Christmas/birthday presents if you don't want them for yourself.
  13. don't know about the pool chairs, but with Harmony and Indy (not at full capacity last Nov) it was pretty crowded on the beaches.
  14. something we didn't know about Alfredo's/GiGi's on our first Regal Princess cruise is that it's free. FREE. 🙂
  15. well, that's just silly. We are casual, but we still go to MDR on formal nights... It's not like we are wearing shorts and t-shirts, but pants and a casual blouse/men's shirt will do. Dressing casually will never preclude me from eating "formal" food.
  16. yes, of course, there is a kid's menu. Regular stuff that I remember - a hot dog, chicken nuggets, etc. My kid didn't like any of it (neither did I), so we mostly ordered the wonderful Fettuccine Alfredo and steamed veggies.
  17. I look up cruises weekly and go as far as doing a faux booking, but CVP rarely ever contacts me. Once in a long while with some kind of promotion... Speaking of which - she hasn't contact me on her own in quite some time.
  18. you can just ignore her and not use her for anything, and it will "get rid" of her. If you DO want a different PVP, contact Princess and switch. We have been assigned Heidi and used her assistance for our upcoming cruise and she's been pretty good.
  19. If we get upgraded and I don't like the location (I hate aft balconies), I may go that route. I too booked our upcoming cruise through a Princess Vacation Planner. 🙂
  20. my heart has just almost leaped out of my chest - I opened my email and saw an email from Princess with my booking number in the heading... For a second I thought - oh, my upgrade is here! Turns out, it's just an invite to a Love Boat Piazza Party...

  22. well, it's not what Princess says on their bid page. It specifically says that we cannot change cabins after an upgrade has been assigned to us.
