  1. You are missing an important point - the Plus Package has to be PURCHASE and is upgraded to the Premium package for no additional charge. Similar to the vacation protection benifit increase. Same thing they are doing right now for the Military Benifits promotion. So your calculations are off.
  2. I never said anything about a free specialty dinner as part of the deal.
  3. Looks fairly accurate but rest assured they will be out of stock of a few of them. My husband was down to his third choice and could only get it at one or two bars.
  4. Well, since most responders are opting for the mini bar, it would be a good Elite Benifit as most people are not opting for it - so it becomes a perk the is offered that doesn't cost Princess much, if anything. Just a reminder of the options: Purchase no drink Package--> get the mini bar Purchase the PLUS Package --> get it upgraded to Premium for the cost of the Plus and no mini bar.
  5. No, Princess is not giving up the cost of the Premium Package; they are giving up the difference vetween the Plus and the Premium. Passenger still has to purchase the PLUS but gets the PREMIUM. If the passenger does not purchase a drink Package they still get the mini bar.
  6. Interesting, but I think the cost difference between the Plus and the Premium (confess I haven't checked) is less than the difference between Basic and the Plus. So that would cost Princess more. Remember, you still have to purchase the PLUS Package - so they get their revenue for that.
  7. Yes, use it on my laptop, but usually do chats on my phone.
  8. I don't thing they are giving away that much from the Plus to the Premium. Isn't that what perks are all about.
  9. Okay, let's add more caveats. If you don't book a Princess Plus/upgrade to Premium package, you'd still get the mini bar setup. Win-Win.
  10. Instead of a minibar set up, why doesn't Princess offer the benifit to purchase the Princess Premiere package at the cost of the Princess Plus; the same way the insurance upgrades are available? Like or Dislike?
  11. There may also be crew kids on board for some or all of the cruise at that age. And there is someone at Princess who can tell you how many kids are booked in each age group; it is just finding the right one. If you have a good CVP, I'd start there. My nephews and grandkids, none of whom liked daycare or kid club type of things, all LOVED the kids club.
  12. Good to know, I've taken screen shots of important parts, but an email would be much easier and complete.
  13. Used to be 8 to noon and 1 to 5.
  14. I agree. I would also want to kown there is another flight option avaliable that day incase there are issues and you do t make the 1130 flight. I hate having to hang around the airport and watch earlier flights board that I didn't take because of the recommended time.
  15. Doable if it is a weekend. And you have TSA pre check.
  16. To me it seems like they have changes it recently. Used to love it, but my last trip, Enchanted in September, it was awful. Good for me, as I didn't want it everyday like I used to. 😀
  17. The advantage to this is if there is a cheaper flight it is easy to change. When you have return flights, if one leg is cheaper you cannot.rebook without canceling both legs and often the other leg will have increased, making it not cost effective to refare.
  18. You cab also request mega-updrade only, so you would only be upgraded to the next category - in your case a suite.
  19. Don't believe so, but it is my understanding if you book certain spa services, you have access to the Enclave.
  20. They always used to have them. I know for my last cruise I could not find it in my personalizer although others on the cruise could. I went to the spa and had to fight to get it. I've also heard others mention it is offered when they do those spa tours on the first day.
  21. As others have said, the West Quay Mall is walking distance and has many sit down and fast food restaurants. One of my favorite meals was the lasagna at L'Osterio in the mall. You can enter the restaurant without going into the mall. Study the maps or ask the hotel for directions for the quickest way. It's about a 5 minute walk cutting through the parking lot of the two hotels across the street. The lasagna was different from any lasagna I've ever had, but was delicious. The restaurant was very busy and we were seated under a staircase basically. It wasn't a very good table, but we just wanted to eat. I'd definately go again - but make reservations for a better table. https://losteria.net/en/menu/pasta/
  22. Agree, Talisker is a nice.peaty Scotch and used to be widely available at all bars. Even it was not available on our September cruise. His favorites also used to be at all bars. They no longer have Languvulin (sp) available either - just Dalwhinie (sp) and Glenn Deveron (sp). They had a very limited selection compared to previous cruises.
  23. Okay, here's my take on it. My husband only likes the peaty single malt Scotch..The selection on Princess is now minimal. He scoured every bar and asked if they had one of the 2 peaty Scotches they now carry. Once he found out where they were, we'd have to stop by on our way to.dinner or wherever and pick up his Scotch. Finding a sympathetic bartender may help guide you. I'd suggest the bars at Sabittinnis (sp) and the steak restaurant bar would probably have the most varied selection of wines. We did eventually find a terrific server and assistant at dinner and they would either get if for him or call the bar and have them bring it us in the dining room. So you'll need to spend some of your time wine hunting at the beginning of your cruise.
  24. Yes, agree, there is no shortage of wine, but it is more of a distribution problem - like many other things. I don't think Princess goes to the local Total Wines in ports to pick up wine. It's probably done through some consolidator or something similar.
