  4. Looking for people's experiences/opinions. We took a Princess sponsored tour today in Barbados. When we got off the ship, there were people from the tour operators there with iPad wanting our Full Names, Date of Birth and other information to sign a waiver for this tour. My husband is a stickler for Personal Data Infomation and refused to provide his date of birth. There were more questioned they asked, but they stopped with us at that point. Providing this information to someone with an iPad on an island does not seem like this information would very secure to me and easily hackable. This also slowed to process, trying to get all this info from everyone and then have each person then sign the waiver. At no point (in the tour description or on the tour tickets) was it disclosed this info would be required for the tour. My husband tried to complain once we returned to the ship, but he was basically told not to worry about it. I guess the two different people he talked to, know nothing about protecting personal data information and hacking. Never in 20 cruises, have we been asked this info. Asked to sign wavers yes, but not have my personal data put into a electronic device.
  5. Are you traveling solo? You get 2 credits if you are; not because the cruise could be booked back to back.
  6. I'm just going to order the Premier wines and pay the difference. Still won't add up to 20 dollars a day difference. For a couple of glasses at dinner. For lunch, I'll often have beer - depending on what I'm having.

Does Princess not realize since the Casino is the only indoor smoking venue (besides some of the small cigar lounges), that people will go there to have a cigarette even if they are not gambling, making the problem worse. There are good air filters if they invest in enough of them and use them all the time before the carpet and other materials become saturated with smoke.

  10. I had this happen to me as I accidently entered his year of birth wrong, so it didn't pick up his account. Called my CVP to get it fixed.
  11. I moved to green lane as soon as I ordered the Medallion. My delivery notice still shows in no activity even though I have the Medallion in hand. From what i can see in tracking from the number on the package, sent from Richmond BC, to a site in Mississauga (near YYZ), then delivered by Canada Post. I had mine in about 5 days after the shipping notice. P.S. it was not the SANI delivery notice I posted about earlier. That was actually a package that wasn't supposed to ship for 5 to 12 days that was delivered in 3 days.
  12. Interesting. Yes Medallions to Canada is new territory. I received notice that my Medallions were shipped a couple of days ago (Saturday) and today I have a notice of delivery from UPS for Tuesday. I thought it was spam as I've ordered nothing and the only other thing it could be besides spam would be the Medallion. But that would be a 4 day turnaround, and not realistic from what I've read on these boards. Supposedly this "item" is from SAIN Store. I triesd googling it but got nothing. If it's the Medallions, I'll let you all know.

  15. You can pretty much order what ever you want. I have French Toast every day...on the menu or not.
  16. The medical center is well equipped. I would not be surprised if they can test for this. Remember, they provide care for all of the crew too and may need to monitor INRs for some staff. As far as reading the x-rays go, those are sent digitally to radiologists on shore to interpret. Generally not done by the ships physicians.

    @HaveDogWillTravel do you know if the CVP get credited for a booking if you book on the Princess site and then contact the CVP about the booking?

    I'm curious... does anyone know what compensation CVP get? I know regular TAs get a commission on the Plus or Premium packages, but when I asked my CVP if they did, she said No. I will book my packages on board then and avoid the bundling of the cost in the insurance. Otherwise I would have booked it with her. Just got me curious as to how they are compensated.
  19. Don't see any reason why yiu can't. I'd suggest embarkation day when they are signing kids up.
  20. That is switching a booking to a TA. I don't think it is possible to switch a self booked cruise to a PVP in the same way. I feel bad for mine, as I recently booked my own cruise (I thought I'd just put it on hold and have her pick it up) and made a mistake in my husbands year of birth. I couldn't figure out why his FCC didn't apply automatically. As soon as I received the confirmation I saw what I did. I then contacted her to fix. Was going to add on Princess Plus through her instead of on board as a thankyou for the fix, but she said she didn't get any commission on it. I'd really like to know what PVP get commission on so I don't mess her up.
  21. Usually they are fairly booked. I've done several transatlantic cruises and the only time they weren't "full" was when cruises started post covid.
  22. I loved the Izumi! Unfortunately, I didn't discover it until near the end of our cruise. There are two different suites with some different features. They alternate each suite daily between male and female.
  23. We have had them and I actually like them. The balcony barrier is not glass, but metal. It can be windy, but the balconies are large. Only other complaint some people have is the long walk to anything. I see that as a bonus.
