  1. Each pump is not fresh and clean when that soap container is continually topped up.
  2. Although I have not traveled as a solo, I can answer some of your questions. On many cruises, the solos make connections on the roll call and will often make arrangements for a table together. I have dined solo myself many times. You can either sit alone if you prefer or join a table, which is usually 5 to 10 people. If you choose traditional dining you can have the same table with the same people at the same time with the same wait staff each night or go to anytime dining where where you can dine when and how you want. Dress code is quite casual, I wouldn't worry about it and you will find lots of threads on this form about the dress code. You can book shore excursions with Princess and, again, I have done so as a solo and never felt uncomfortable. You can also find a roll call for your cruise and book private excursions with a group if that suits you. There are many places on the ship to sit and read, although I must admit, sometimes finding a place inside with no music can be a challenge. Most ships have libraries, but some of the newer ones do not. My husband is not a great traveler, so I often find myself doing dinner, excursions, activities on my own. Never a problem.
  3. For that particular cruise. That's why I said "do the math". We usually do longer cruises.
  4. You're only going to get 2 casual dining and one shareholders credit if you book as one cruise. Do the math and see if it is better to book as 2 cruises and get 4 casual dining and 2 shareholder credits. Another reason I like to book back to back as separate cruises is if you are using EZ aire, you can manage each flight separately. Try to get the same room for each leg, but if you can't the crew basically moves you.
  5. Being from Canada, I always have to pick up my medallion at the pier. Never had a wait of anytime and I've sailed from London, Copenhagen and Florida since the restart. Don't waste your 10 dollars.
  6. That's good news for OP. Happy to be corrected.
  7. $12 limit was the old package that was updated to $15. If you purchased your plus at the the older rate (that cost less), your drink limit will be $12. You can pay the difference for any thing over the limit.
  8. SeaWalk is no bug deal. Criss that off your list.
  9. Has she told you that or is that your opinion? Just curious. If she is truly too busy to take on new clients, I'm sure she could recommend another good CVP.
  10. On your next cruise ask everyone you talk to if they have a good CVP. If they do, ask for their name. That's how I found my new CVP when my prior excellent CVP retired. I contacted her and asked if she could be my CVP and that was it.
  11. Are there free alcoholic beverages in the Conceige Lounge? If so what type?
  12. Taxis in Tokyo are expensive. Haneda is not that far and when we were in Tokyo we took a taxi from the hotel to the airport. I don't remember the cost. It would be quite expensive for a taxi from Tokyo to the port. You can usually google "cost of taxi from Haneda to Ginza" or "Ginza to port" to.get an idea. Trains and subways are excellent, but beware, English is not widely spoken in Japan.
  13. The transfer bus is usually right around the airport. I'd assume you could use the same wheelchair as you did from the plane and if not, I'm sure Princess know how to secure one. I'd just make sure you put a note in the booking that you need a wheelchair.
  14. I have a wonderful CVP. It took me awhile to find one after my first one retired, but it is worth it. I know we can't mention names here and I found my new CVP when you could direct message someone on these threads. On you next cruise ask everyone you strike up a conversation with if the have a good CVP or a travel agent they use. Get some good leads and start trying them out. They are worth their weight in gold. I recently had to use the general number as I had wrote down the wrong extension for my CVP (long story) and needed to reach her about a flight change. I got through to the call center, but the person I spoke to did not know if she could give me her extension or forward my call. She kept.putting me on hold to find answers. After about 20 minutes of this she finally took my name and number and said she'd have my CVP call me. My wonderful CVP called me within 5 minutes and took care of the issue for me.
  15. What about at afternoon tea they have daily in one of the dining rooms? You'd think they would have a decent selection there.
  16. I'd say you need to consider a few things. One your comfort level being in a country where English is not widely spoken. Two the distance between the airport - hotel - port. The farther apart each are, the more complicated travel options can be. You also need to consider the travel options available and your comfort level. Are you okay doing subway, buses, trains, booking these in advance or do you only want private transport. Add up the costs and see if it makes sense for you. The more nights you stay pre or post cruise, the more affordable the Princess Hotel packages are. And if you are arriving several days early, for example, Princess will provide a private car from airport to hotel. If you want a no hassle, no planing, take care of me and get me where I need to be, the hotel packages are great. If you like to plan and handle all your own arrangements and deal with last minute changes or glitches, do it yourself. I've done the hotel package once, but it was a rare circumstance where it was the same price as doing it myself. I definately loved the no thinking or worrying about anything and would definitely consider it if I was traveling solo in a country I was not familiar with. But traveling to any port in the US, Canada I'd definately do it myself.
  17. Free upgrades do still exist. I just received one for our Dec SA cruise. Upgraded from a BE balcony on the Sapphire forward Caribe deck to B2 on the same deck midship. Not a huge upgrade, but nice to see they still happen.
  18. No need to bring the bucket. Try a large zip lock bag instead. You can "agitate it" or "spin it" too. I will also wash small or light items when I'm in the shower - socks, bras, under clothes - sometimes.
  19. I would do what others suggested and watch if the seats are being booked up. You can do that on the AC site, look (ie - try to make a booking) for your flights on the site and look at view seats for each flight. If there are a lot available, I would not pay to book. At checkin time, make sure you checkin exactly 24 hours before the flight and book seats. You'll be booking all of the connecting flights earlier than most people as they won't be at the 24 hour mark yet. And if you can't book two seats together, an aisle across from each other works well too.
  20. Used to borrow one at the hotel, but I ordered reuseable plastic tag holders from Amazon and just pop those in the luggage til needed.
  21. You cannot mix a cruise booked in one fund and use a FCC in another fund. The on line agency chooses to book only in US dollars. I don't know if you could book with Princess in Can $, use your FCC and the transfer to the online agency to get the better price. The online agency might not accept the transfer. Anyone know the answer?
  22. Probably, as you'd fill a table used for sharing. I'd make reservations each day as you leave for the next day or a standing reservation if you are able to eat at the same time every day.
  23. They had a WMD on the Enchanted or Regal in 2022 that was $40. It was with Silverado (I think) wines. It was well worth the money, but not paying 140 for any meal on a ship.
  24. Thanks for all the replies. I like green tea and Constent Comment, so it sounds like I'll bring my own. That's something that is easily packed!
