  1. We arr doing the MP after our upcoming cruise in December. If you open or print out the full itinerary (from the Princess website in the cruise personalizer) to see the details of the tour. It will have hotels, what meals are included and what you will be doing each day. There is info there on packing as well. Essentially, you leave large luggage in Lima and only take a small bag on MP part.
  2. Ezair does not change flights; the airlines do. But you are correct, if you call EZair or your CVP they can usually get it changed with no cost.
  3. On my current booking I can change just one of the flights. This is the first time I've seen this, so assume it is new. When you go to modify a flight it has a check vox for the departing or returning flight.
  4. Yes did it on board for my last cruise. Have to say I never noticed these upsell people before, but since I was on the look out for them, they were easy to see. Must admit, I got a newbie who didn't know what to do, so it took long than i expected, but what's the rush. It was probably 10 minutes.
  5. We have the room steward for one... need a good reason. He did hunt one up but it took a couple of days. Forget why DH wanted it, but, in true form, he never used it once!
  6. It is not prorated - so book it sooner rather than later. You will get 10 off for medallion shipping.
  7. You can call the CVP line and ask for one, but what you need is a GOOD one!. On your next cruise ask everyone you strike up a conversation with if they have a good CVP or travel agent and if they will share.
  8. No tax if you buy it in port. In fact no tax if you order a drink using the package in port. And no, there is no prorating - so buy it.the first day. You do get $10 credit for Medallion shipping.
  9. Why would you call the regular number and mention PVP. Call your PVP.
  10. Yes, I'm Elite so I get the extra coverage for the price of basic. Also have Provincial Insuance (Canadian) and out of country insurance through work. And yes, you can buy Plus or Premium or upgrade from Plus to Premium on the first two days.
  11. I wish I knew what CVP get credit for. For example, because I always take the insurance, it is cheaper for me to book Plus or Premium on board and I can use OBC for it. But if the CVP gets credit for that, I'd book it through her.
  12. @graphicguy one of my coworkers is on this cruise. It's his first cruise and this is going to sound strange, but if you run across him say "Cindy said Hi!". His name is Yves and he's easy to spot, huge guy (not fat, just big), lots of tatoos, traveling with his twin girls (about 9 but look older) and his wife (British acent for her). I'm sure he'll be in the gym almost evert day. He's a terrific guy. Thanks in advance if you do cross paths. Cindy
  13. We are arriving the day before. With departures at 3 pm now, there are not any flight options if something goes wrong with an early morning flight. I'm going to cancel the transfers and Uber it.
  14. I've heard the Princess transfers from LAX to the San Pedro port are notoriously bad. Slow, not enough people for those booked, getting to the port hours after sailaway, etc., etc. I usually just Uber as it is cheaper than the shuttle. One was included with my fare, but I'm considering canceling it and doing Uber. Just thought it would be nice to hop on the bus and not see my luggage again until it hits the room. I'm not in any rush to get on board - no Sanctuary on the ship, so don't need to try and beat the masses to book that. Please let me know your experience with the LAX shuttle. Oh, and by the way, this will be Thanksgiving Sunday.
  15. Is the LAX shuttle to Port always a zoo? I cruised out of San Pedro numerous times and have always taken an Uber. I love some of.the restaurants and the vibe in the SP area. We have a cruise leaving Thanksgiving Sunday that includes transfers. I'm flying in a day early and because of hotel costs, I booked a hotel near the airport and was going to take the Princess shuttle. Should I rethink my decision?
  16. Depends on docking, customs, tours, etc. I'd give myself at.least an hour buffer.
  17. Ask everyone you talk to on your next cruise if the have a good TA or CVP. That's how I found mine.
  18. You'll get a whole range of responses. I personally prefer to go through a GOOD CVP. Mine handles any issues - problems with flights, price drops, canceling and rebooting. Make sure you have your Princess account preferences checked with NO EMAILS. you'll still get some relates to your cruise - book your flights, book your excursions, book your dining, etc. but just a few.
  19. Only need a passport ID you are a US citizen.
  20. Dalwhinnie and Glen Deveron are two other peaty Scotches they usually have. They are in the Plus package. They used to have Laglavulin (my fav), but I haven't seen that for years. On our last cruise, the Crooners bartenders knew my husband as Mr. Dalwhinnie.
  21. My husband only drinks single malt peaty Scotch. Which usually only 0ne or two bars on the ship have. So forget getting that in the dining g room or anywhere else on the ship. We always stop by whatever bar has his favorite in stock before dinner. And yes, I have ordered a double wine. Again, usually, it comes in a large glass, but I've had some bring it in 2 glasses. Go figure.
  22. I do the same. I'll order two glasses of wine. If you're server team is good, they'll only bring one to the table at a time. If not, you'll get them both at the same time. Service has been so slow on our Last few cruises, even if you ask for a second glass long before being done your first, you may be wineless for awhile. And don't get me started about a drink with dessert. Always well done my dessert before any concoction arrived.
