Yes us too. Same time off Iona in November. Easy peasy. We were actually surprised at how easy. We had a long journey ahead of us and couldn't bear the thought of hanging round waiting to disembark.

Happy New Year everyone. Went to bed early. Didn't hear many fireworks, think the weather may have put people off. A neighbour usually has the noisiest fireworks I have ever heard in my life. I also sleep in the attic of my house so normally it's like being under siege. Luckily our labrador loves noise. He was born in the rspca and think it was very noisy there. He loves motorbikes and helicopters for the same reason! Cat is terrified though.

We love having a balcony. This was our view when we woke on our recent cruise in November. Can you guess where it is?

My 14 nights select balcony on Iona last month was £3574! Just a bog standard balcony. Can't remember the obc. Think about £650 which included blc and the extra £150 they were offering at that time

Last week bar staff told us there were some Thais getting on on Saturday. I can't remember the number but it was a lot. Hopefully things are improving staff wise

Have to agree with the noisy balcony. We stayed in 12612. Had to wear ear plugs at night. Weve done a few cruises and hubby was at sea for 10 years so can appreciate ships creak but crikey it sounded like gunfire! Take your earplugs. Apart from that we had a great time, although Iona was a little too big and busy for us. Beautiful though. Met some great people.

As others have said it was a raffle for charity at £10 a ticket. It was excellent. We arrived early and got great seats. He's doing a talk in the theatre this afternoon with Ollie Smith about wine too but not going to that as not my thing

Yes we've got tickets for the 10pm show. Cant wait

We're on Iona now. Weve been using the app. Working OK. We go to a bar nearby and join the queue. There was a wait of about an hour on celebration evening but it was peak time at around 8pm otherwise half an hour. Re vegetarian food. Had some lovely blue cheese arancini in the mdr.

Thanks for taking the time on your cruise to reply. Sounds optimistic. We will, of course, put a mask on in confined areas but looking forward to not being masked up all the time. Hope it stays that way. We shall see

Thanks for your replies. Just seems to have got quieter though don't you think. Hopefully we won't catch it. Had it once. Fully vaccinated. Didnt even catch it on a recent weekend away with friends where we shared a room for 2 nights and my friend had it. Fingers crossed

Sailing on Iona on Saturday. Just wondering how things are covid wise on the ships currently sailing. Do we need to wear masks. And are passengers being quarantined. It all seems to have gone quiet. Hopefully this is a good sign.

How lovely! Which ship and where did you go? We're on Iona in 3 weeks. Not cruised since 2018. Looking forward to it. Hoping to stay well and not get the dreaded you know what!
