  1. I think suites on big ships are actually much better value than smaller ships , but they do sell out quickly. P&O website list suite benefits , Perks of a Suite include: A whirpool bath* Butler service* Larger dressing area Priority check-in and boarding (from Southampton) Daily fresh fruit Coffee machine Free room-service Exclusive restaurants Bathrobe and slippers Other exclusive touches Daily steward service Telephone Hair dryer and safe Tea and coffee facilities Air conditioning Vanity writing desk and chair Beds convertible to twin or king-size bed to suit your needs* Toiletries from The White Company Champagne and chocolates on arrival Canapés on embarkation and Celebration Nights also see cruise with Amber for a list and good video of one of rear suites , which are to be recommended for bigger balcony. Except for breakfast suites don't have exclusive dining like on many lines, but then price is much less.
  2. Sounds a fantastic price for Princess Grill, at that price beats Saga for value. Is this the coronation cruise. A once off bargain unless QM2 breaks down again and they have to come up with a cruise with a few days to spare.
  3. Enjoy Cunard. Since covid I've been on both Cunard QG and Saga. I must say Saga beat Cunard in every respect, Food , service, entertainment, and certainly ambience. Not by much but just a little better in every thing.
  4. Baths are deep, also have one big problem, no handles, where you need to get out. tap is right in middle which might encourage people to use it as handle. I also like to get in bath and then fine tune temperature. Can't do this as water comes out right on delicate bits
  5. Yes it uses those exact words in the brochure. It's more than advertising blurb, the brochure forms the basis of your contract with P&O.
  6. If everyone has priority no-one has priority. Did you raise it with P&O, their promise of suites being whisked straight through, vs reality.
  7. If everyone of Caribbean and above gets 12pm and can walk straight on , then the idea of suite pasengers being whisked straight through, doesn't hold water. Unless it means everyone in Caribbean and above can enter terminal at 12pm but going onto ship is then done in specific order.
  8. Agree , but it's hard to tell from what P&O say Peninsula club priority boarding is for top three levels in loyalty order Lguian first, that's clear. However where suites fit in is not clear. All it's says in brochure is suites will be whisked through boarding straight to ship. What this means is vague. To me it reads as priority over everyone else. Nothing on P&O makes it clear. Some non P&O websites suggested that Liguirian and suites go together. The trouble is on a big ship e.g. Iona or Arvia may be hundreds of top tier loyalty so if suites are with them it's clearly not being whisked through boarding straight to ship.
  9. Just Sad it's going thus way😟 I love formal . I also follow the ships dress code each day what ever the cruise line. I'm not one to deliberately over dress.
  10. There is a difference between marketing hype ie all cruise passengers look like movie stars, and wrong information, ie showing somewhere you are not visiting. However most likely just a simple error by a junior with a D in geography.
  11. So logically suites should have been earlier than Baltic 12.00. As we do a hotel parking package in new forest, leave circa 11am to get there just after 11.30.
  12. Just fill in a later date, as long as your passport is valid sort it out on board.
  13. What time does boarding start , what time are suites given.
  14. The Concorde room didn't exist in the days of Concorde, just called first class lounge in T4. Had to drink in lounge, they had some very exceptionalwines on Concorde but 40000ft did help palate Concorde room is relatively new, just for first class and gold guest list (very top level of gold)
  15. I notice on my forthcoming 2 week Mediterranean cruise there are only 3 Gala nights, is this the new normal, hope not.
  16. The problem is that cruises are treated same as holidays, which is fair for vast majority of cruises which are round trips. However one way journeys such as TA should be treated the same as flights , ie cruise lines have responsibility to get you where you where going.
  17. That might be true of Cunard but not P&O, you can get nice wine for £30 However a £30 bottle plus £20 corkage Will be far far better than a P&O £50 bottle
  18. Why not they expect that of you if you drive, never mind how long the journey. Anyway it's not a precise time , it's a not before time.
  19. I didn't think there was any problems with people arriving later than expected, unless everyone turns up at 5 mins before last boarding. I do not see the problem with people given allocated times , which are realistically not before times. The more you pay or more often you sail with P&O the earlier you can check in. Not Woke but that's life.
  20. Surely coaches should be made to stick to their allotted arrival times. Grossly unfair to others if they arrive at allotted time and a coach load arrive early and force them to wait.
  21. By the amount of people that complain about any boarding time after 1pm and say they will turn up when they feel like it. Also the fact when I turn up at my allotted time of 12nòon, terminal is full to the brim of people with later boarding times. I thought every cruise line gave people allotted boarding times.
  22. Cunard online check in you preregister credit card and upload photos, thought P&O would be same. Could also ask to upload covid certificates and any thing else. Don't know about logistics of sending out cruise cards. If the did they need to be smart cards that don't work till your allotted boarding time
