  1. Good luck with your decision. I know it must be hard. Take the meeting with an open mind. Money is better maybe look at it as future cruise funding.
  2. Thank you. I learned something new today. Yikes. I would be a little paranoid too. Hopefully nothing more. Keep trying. I'm sure something will open up. That's an excellent idea!!
  3. Itโ€™s like when it rains it pours. I canโ€™t tell you how many times the big 3โ€™s have happened to us. Weโ€™ve gotten to to the point after the first one we look each other and say โ€œok whatโ€™s the next two going to be?โ€
  4. Now this is Weird? I just got an email from Cruise Critic saying my rank has increased. But if you look at my profile pic of one of my posts it says I have 4.7K posts. Kinda late don't you think???๐Ÿ˜‰
  5. So sorry Debbie this happened to Eric. I hope he recovers quickly. I always thought the Sacrum was called the "Tailbone." Wow so close. Too bad you couldn't stop there. Everyone who I know that has had Cuba as a port loved it. I think that would be the way to do it and so much fun. The Bourbon Trail is something I really want to do but you need time. With 37 distilleries, it's hard to pick just one favorite. Some are as close as eight miles and others are as far as 70 miles apart. That place looks incredible. How fun! Great news. I hope you have a fantastic cruise.
  6. Spent the last two evenings with the representative from Rabbit Hole Distillery who was in town for some tastings. If you are not familiar with Rabbit Hole they make some incredible bourbon from Louisville KY. It's an interesting story in that their founder Kaveh Zamanianโ€™s was a successful clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. He met his wife who was from Louisville and once he went to the city fell in love with bourbon. He decided to open his own distillery and produced his own bourbon have never done it before. He created several different recipes that were all different and were based on craft beer recipes. So on Wednesday night we had a tasing at my good friends retail liquor store in the area. The room was packed to hear Rabbit Hole's rep explain the history, each bottle and how unique it was. 4 flights to taste "Cavehill," "Heigold," "Dareringer," "Boxergrail." My favorite is the Dareringer which is aged in sherry casks. This is amazing. If you get a chance to try these I think you you will love them. They are unique and very good tasting. Then last night The Kansas City Whiskey Guild for which I'm a member hosted the rep with another tasting of the Rabbit Hole brand in a new bar downtown called "Society." We had custom cocktails using the different Rabbit Hole brands and did some fun socializing amongst everyone. The highlight was watching two of our members spend $125 for a flight tasting of all the Pappy Van Winkle line of bourbons. These are considered by some as the "Holy Grail" of bourbon. I was surprised that the Rip Van Winkle 10 year (the cheaper bottle) beat out the older year Pappy's. It was a great time sipping and talking bourbon by everyone. Cheers!
  7. This is great news! Thank goodness she's ok. Glad you found her. I've never seen a cat that likes to ride in a car. Congrats to Owen on his good grades. I did not know that there was an actual size to Kraken. That's a big sea monster at a mile and a half. I prefer mine in a glass. Looks like a great time. Love the rainbow.
  8. Have a great time! Cheers! I'll be there in September. Excited! Great news Graham. He's right exercise will help strengthen the muscles around the knee cap and help. Keep up the great work.
  9. Looks like a cool place. Glad you are having fun. Don't think I would attempt to do the bungie trampoline after I just ate.๐Ÿ˜œ
  10. I'm happy to hear you are are hanging in there. I know it must be tough. I'm rooting for you and thinking about you.
  11. She is going to be daddy's little girl. I'm so happy for you. Nothing like a warm little animal sleeping in your lap. I used to never take naps. Now I do one every afternoon so both Lizzy and Charlie can lay on me. Today Lizzy put her head right underneath my chin. Heaven.
  12. I did not know that. I hope you are having a great cruise! Drink one for me. Cheers!
  13. Having been on these boards for many years I can tell you that answers coming from here from cruisers with experience will be better than any customer service rep from Royal.
  14. I knew he wasnโ€™t a good chef when one of the charter guests asked what other options there were for breakfast besides the one main. He said none. No yacht chef in their right mind would only have one option or course for a guest. I understand why Bravo would of hired him since heโ€™s a great antagonist but I do not understand how in world he was able to work on other yachts. He should be a fry cook at Dennyโ€™s.
  15. I have purchased the UDP on our upcoming Symphony cruise. It states that "For ships with these venues, Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi is included, with a $10 surcharge." According to the menu, you will be able to pick 1 small plate (starters), pick 2 of the large plates (covers Rolls, sashimi and bowls and 1 dessert. This is what I received with the 3 night dining pkg on Explorer this past November. All this for an extra $10 is not bad. I was very full with plenty to eat. I think you will be fine and will enjoy it very much.
  16. I'm so sorry to hear this George. This breaks my heart. I hope you can have comfort in knowing she is not in any pain or suffering. I am thinking of you for the loss of a beloved family member.
  17. Yikes! I'm glad you were able to treat it. Are you going to complain to management? That should not have happened to you.
