  1. I was joking. I was horrible at chemistry in school. I remember trying to balance equations and was horrible at it. You have my ultimate respect. Keep the faith!
  2. It’s almost impossible to find it here where it’s made let alone in the UK. Even though it’s a great bourbon do not pay more than MSRP for it. Third party resellers gouge the consumer.
  3. The last store pick of Russell's 10 year had a line all around the building. By the time I got to the front they were sold out. Luckily I know the owner really well and he asked me if I wanted a bottle. I said yes and he went to the back room and came back with a bottle in a brown paper bag and told the cashier how much to ring it up for. Pays to know someone .
  4. Totally agree Larry. I got tired of driving everywhere just to find nothing. I really enjoy a lot of bourbons you can find everyday. I am amazed at how many people still pursue the hunt.
  5. I love Josh Allen. I root for the Bills anytime they are not playing KC! If I did a shot every time the Bills score a TD I would be an alcoholic.😁 Tried to comment below but it won’t let me. I have cut back from the hunt. It was fun for a while but too much work. I have gotten into finished bourbons like Rabbit Hole’s Derringer which is finished in a sherry cask.
  6. My home has turned into a liquor store with my collection of Bourbon, Whiskey, Rum and craft cocktail ingredients. I’m really not an alcoholic just a chemist. 😉
  7. Impressive he has a lot of good ones especially EH Taylor and Eagle Rare. I would recommend also getting Wild Turkey Rare Breed and the Henry McKenna 10 year bottled in bond.
  8. Each round has 3 cocktails. Tomorrow will be the 4th round. I’m not sure how many rounds he will do as there were over 400 entries. The winner of each round will face off with the other winners until the champion is crowned. There were some really creative and intricate cocktails. I went with simplicity and something most people would have the ingredients for instead of a complex multiple ingredient concoction. I am going with the KISS theory. Thank you Maryann you are so kind.
  9. Love to talk to him I never drank the stuff until probably 15 years ago. I was always a beer drinker. Now I drink less, enjoy more and don’t have a beer belly.
  10. Honored and excited that a cocktail I created was chosen to be in a competition. Matt Marble of Spike’s Breezeway YouTube channel which is about everything Tiki and Tiki cocktails is having a cocktail creation contest using his blend of rums with Ed Hamilton. Ed Hamilton is one of the premiere companies that blend rums for use in tiki cocktails. The Breezeway blend is a blend of light rums that makes for an incredible daiquiri. I submitted this recipe and on Tuesday night he going to make it live on YouTube with two other cocktails and judge a winner of the round. The winner will go against the other round winners and the overall winner will have their recipe printed on the back of the bottle. I think it’s a long shot for me to win but the fact that my recipe was chosen out of over 400 recipes to be judged is exciting. I present to you the “Sea Dog Breeze.”
  11. Linda was with me when he did the smirk but did not see it. She will come to the next one and pay more attention to see if she gets the same feeling as I do. Thanks for your thoughts.
  12. Did something fun for Father’s Day. We went and attended a tasting with the Forbidden Rum Club a monthly tasting hosted by an outdoor Tiki Bar here in town. Each Month they have a tasting of a unique rum and a cocktail. The presentation was wonderful full of information, history and humor of the month’s featured rum. Today was a Brazilian rum called Novo Fogo, a Cachaca rum used in Caipirinha’s. Also besides tasting the spirit was an original cocktail made using this rum and printed out on a card you can keep and collect. We had a good time and the cocktail was excellent. A great way to spend this special day. Unfortunately Jonathan had to work but he is taking me out for sushi tomorrow which I will love. Cheers!.
  13. It is doing ok but it’s not there yet. Still need to increase my range of motion and it still aches from a nerve standpoint but is slowly improving. My other knee took over a year before I felt good and I’m only 8 months out.
  14. I don’t think some doctors can appreciate that we know our bodies. They tend to tell us rather than listen to us. A neurosurgeon Linda went to see about her back pain suggested she should take hot baths. Linda almost got up and stormed out of his exam room after a comment like that.
  15. Thanks for your comments. Agreed I don't need to be best friends but want to have confidence in my doctor. Yes I have not heard any great stories about biopsies.
  16. I don't think I would want to do any biopsy without anesthesia. The whole thing sounds horrible. A couple of times when I would tell hime something he would smirk like what I was telling him wasn't true or he looked down on me. I am pretty good at reading people. Something about hime doesn't seem right.
  17. I appreciate your response and thank you for commenting. Either way I may get a second opinion to what my urologist tells me. There is something about him that I don't feel good about.
  18. What's your feeling's on prostate biopsies? I've been hearing some horror stories about it not being a pleasant experience. In my case I have one area that is termed "equivocal" or 50/50. Some research suggests foregoing a biopsy in favor of monitoring. Your thoughts?
  19. Thank you Sue for this info. I ended up having Propofol. It as all anesthesia meds do a number on my system in being able to do number one and number two as it takes a long time for my system to wake up. I was really uncomfortable moat of the day but keep trying until things got better last night. What's really weird is today I feel like I got hit by a truck. Every muscle in my body is sore and I can't hardly walk. My ribs hurt which I think was due to me coughing alot yesterday after I got home trying to clear my airways. My hips and weirdly my calf muscles are very sore. Maybe because I haven't replenished my fluids I don't know. The staff was great and I don't remember a thing which is the way I wanted it.
  20. I am sorry that happened. I hope he feels better. That's actually a really good question. I never really thought about that. Usually I do it in the shower and I shave my head as well as wash.
  21. I do find I drink less on sailings with more ports. I drink more when I am on sailings with multiple sea days. Only that I know on an average how much I drink. 5 for me would be the magic number. I do probably need to drink more water but I do like my diet cokes and I drink one in the morning as opposed to coffee. I do like a good espresso in the evening with dessert at dinner.
  22. Yes I got lucky as I did not see this thread I just happened to check because I look daily. Good advice. I think about that. If I did not have the package would I make decisions based on do I really need or want that. My guess is if I didn’t have the DDP I probably would drink more conservative than if I had the package.
