There is a bakery here in KC that makes a killer German Chocolate Coffee Cake. It’s so good. My favorite donut shop also makes an incredible German Chocolate Long John. Yummm.

I can’t decide whether to do it “Live” or an “As If.” I’d like to do a as if in real time after we get back but that is also the week before my knee replacement surgery so I may need to do it live but then enhance it with more detailed posts and videos as I have time to edit them. I have already pre produced some videos. I really want to do a production on our visit to JVD. I hope our group doesn’t mind being being videotaped. If nothing else it will make for a good memory.

Thanks. How far is it usually to drive from LB to San Pedro cruise port? Naps in LA can be deceiving because of traffic.

The Embassy Suites I looked at is near the Airport 16 miles from cruise terminal. Since I’m not familiar with the area I’ll do more research. I do like to stay fairly close to the cruise terminal.

Thanks Judy. I have looked into the Doubletree and Embassy Suites close to port. Unfortunately when I go to their sites and put in the dates both hotels say they are sold out. I’m hoping it’s just because they don’t book that far out. Thanks Bob! I have added this info to my notes. Sounds very interesting

Haven’t decided if we will come in a day early or a couple of days early. I’ve got some friends in LA so we might try and hook up. The problem is they are not close to the port where we will probably stay. I also want to hit some good tiki bars there. We’ve done Disneyland 3 times there and want to maybe see the Queen Mary
