  1. There is a lag when departing from the ports below according to cheers. Not sure about Baltimore. TEXAS, NORFOLK AND NEW YORK Cheers package begins on Day 2 for ships sailing from Texas, Norfolk and New York - activation will occur at 6:00am on the second day of the cruise. Applicable state and local taxes will be charged to the guest folio when this program is used within US waters. The tax is based on the state's tax structure and the cost of the individual drink purchased (not the daily program rate). For example: if the drink price is $5 and the tax is 10%, the guest's Sail & Sign card will be charged $0.50 for tax. This applies to all US ports (embarkation home ports and ports-of-call). Cheers Package is inclusive of VAT, if and as applicable on European cruises. Package is non-transferable and non-refundable after 10:00pm ET the evening before departure. Please note that an 18% service charge will be added to all drink package purchases.
  2. There is no problem with eating healthy on board. Menu items are clearly marked as health concious picks, gluten free, vegetarian, etc. Bourbon has a high sugar content and beer is full of carbs. just sayin 😁
  3. The cones onboard are more than adequate for my requirements.
  4. There is no check in through the app it will redirect you to the website. Any time you use the App prior to being on board it will direct you to the website.
  5. Now this makes perfect sense to me for why you want to move away. However the only line that doesn't cater to kids in some way shape or form is Virgin (unless your thinking about WIndstar or Seabourne or even Viking Cruise lines) but again the average crowd is a lot younger. Not to say you wouldn't like it. Viking has some great sailings and ships you might like?
  6. Well i understand the second one because they aren't going to lead you to an excursion that's not Carnivals but the first one having to get off the ship by yourself hmmm this one i find odd. Is the excursion time after the ship is cleared to disembark passengers or before? If its before any excursion is allowed off the ship i can understand that but if its after then anyone can get off once the gangway is open. Very strange.
  7. Am not sure i truly understand the explanation though. Are you saying that they refused the guaruntee because you couldnt get off the ship in time?
  8. Why all the Royal Caribbean references(of the seas)? lol, I think most all of us work hard for our money btw. Not sure how you would remember "the days of actual cruising" wasnt that in the 20's and 30's? 😉 I am a Cheerleader, a "Cruising" Cheerleader and if your done with a Cruise line based on one ship and one cruise then no matter what Cruise line you choose you will eventually be disatisfied. You will see the same comment on every other cruise line board - Im never sailing MSC again Im never sailing Princess again Im never sailing Royal again etc etc etc.
  9. 1 ship and the Magic at that and this is your last cruise on Carnival? Not the forgiving type are ya. Having cruised pre pandemic as well i have to disagree because the Excel class ships (speaking specifically NOT about the Magic here) are massively uphill in terms of service and food and ship upkeep (well its a new ship unlike the Magic). Guess this makes me a cheerleader. Nonetheless enjoy Celebrity i too would love to sail on them some day but i haven't reached that age demographic yet where i would enjoy it.
  10. its 110% of the difference. How much we talking bout here?
  11. I use cruise cash as a gift to my son when hes cruising with me but i wouldnt use it for myself.
  12. In April we had to wait to be seated for supper. There was a long line.
  13. Not sure about "separated" My son was either with us or at the Kids Club.
  14. Last TA they were always bringing on new entertainment at each Port until you start the last leg to cross the Pond. At the last Port before that they "stocked" up so to say. Needless to say it wasn't repetitive.
  15. Think your good for 90 days but i could be wrong. I've caught COVID on 2 of my last 3 cruises.
  16. As someone who likes to budget everything ahead and know what's paid for and what isn't like yourself i recommend going to Princess.com and reading everything (and i mean everything) regardless of whether you are using a TA or not. Then you know yourself what's included and there is no surprises. FAQ's are a good place to start, then the cruise contract, then just click on different tabs.
  17. CBP TSS whatever. thanks for the correction. My point is that they are still not contracted by the Cruise Lines but by the Port. Same as Baggage handlers, bags go missing and people complain to the Cruise line. Don't get upset at the wrong entity is all I'm saying.
  18. Security is not part of the Cruise Lines domain maybe discuss with US Customs and Border?
  19. i believe its more like if you do get a casino offer then book it and the offers will just keep on coming. 70% of all my offers are Casino offers and i only accumulate about a 1000 points each cruise.
  20. i used Smith and Gold transport for our transfers and in conversation on the trip they did mention they have done parties that large. They were very accommodating and their prices were reasonable.
  21. Planning on being somewhere you shouldnt be??
  22. I was on the Celebration TA as well and just off the Jubilee in April. Love the Excel class and the little differences between each one but the same great experience. Love the review so far.
  23. There are no gambling requirements. go dont go its up to you. No one will be searching for you cause your needed in the casino.
