  1. If you don't have a lot of thick bulky items like jeans and sweaters, you will amaze yourself with how much you can fit into the bag if you stuff it carefully. Some folks roll items, other folks fold them - whatever works best for you.

  2. We generally have a balcony but I always wonder if there is something more interesting on the other side of the ship so we generally head up to a deck where you can see from both sides of the ship!! I sometimes feel like my neck is on a swivel. Lol!

  3. We made the mistake of using our ATM card at a machine in a convenience store in Mexico and it was cloned and we had a bunch of withdrawals in St Petersburg, Russia the same time we were in Mexico. Needless to say we canceled the card.

Since then we only use our ATM card in machines in banks and have had no further problems.

  4. We have been on several cruises and like the fact that we don't have to figure out how much or who to tip (except the folks we tip extra) but we often wonder: how do we really know that all the tip money actually goes to the employees???

  5. You can buy sunscreen and bug repellent in individually packaged towelettes if you prefer. You can get them at Amazon or a sporting goods store and they are not considered liquids. I use these if we are going on a land vacation.

When we cruise I just buy bottles of sunscreen, conditioner and whatever else I might need in the departure city.

  6. I would suggest you pack things such as coconut oil in a small plastic rather than a glass jar. I do not put stick deodorant, Chapstick, mascara in my Baggie even though they might be considered liquid by some and no one has ever said anything. Everything is in 100 gram (about 3.5 ounces) or less plastic containers. If I need a larger amount for the cruise I buy it at the port and throw it away before we fly home.

  7. We've cached on a lot of Caribbean islands. We usually do our own thing and hire a cab driver at the port. We are amazed at how helpful and into caching some of the cab drivers become. Sometimes they are more determined than we are to find a cache.

We've also directed some cab drivers to areas of their island that they've never been to. Caching has led to some fascinating sights and discoveries!
