  1. $4,500 for the 2014. That's in the QE-QV-QA list from March this year. edit: I just chose the Haut-Brion to fit the $800.
  2. But I don't think the Premium Drink Packages run to this ........ Might I suggest: Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé 2001 $700 (plus 15%) 🤣
  3. Can you send them to France please? Maybe include the drivers and management.
  4. I imagine that if I was on a twelve night voyage I might not suffer homesickness as badly as I do with fourteen nights. However I can't think of anything more appealing than 100+ nights of a world voyage dressed formally if I didn't have cats and lived somewhere like the UK, especially it's northern regions.
  5. I'm not seeing that. I already purchased in Valentine's Day sale. But if I select for my wife it's $252, which is 14 nights at $18. Perhaps bluemarble has hit on something with voyage duration?
  6. I think the quote has been taken from your post #24 although it originated in post #23. Not sure how that would happen, normally it only includes your response.
  7. I prefer to be comfortable too. For me that would be a tux or dark suit with tie. I wear shorts during the hottest part of our summer when the temperature is usually around 30C/86F and I want to avoid using the air-con. If I did dress casually I would look like a tramp in photos beside my wife in her finery.
  8. The direct bus service from Monaco to Eze Village doesn't operate on Sundays. The public transport options would be train to Eze-sur-Mer then a bus that runs roughly every hour to and from Eze Village. Or the main bus service along the coast to a point where you could cross the road and catch that same bus service to Village. That would be shorter but might take just as long as the train option and while the stop is not "in the back of beyond" it's not a major interchange point. If it's for a time critical journey such as re-boarding a ship I'd suggest neither are great options. Uber or cab whilst being more expensive are probably safer.
  9. If you can be bothered looking through them, there are several YouTube videos with cabin reviews ranging from inside through to grills. Chances are you'll probably find one showing your cabin type with shots of what sockets they have and their locations.
  10. I have watched a recent video of a QM2 Westbound Crossing from a Russian Vlogger who lives in The Canary Islands. I think her husband is Spanish. She seems to have been very impressed by her trip. I don't understand any Russian so I used the auto subtitle translate function. I've no idea how accurate the translation is but I was mildly amused by some of her comment 😀: "...... this is a liner for English pensioners, I'll say that a good half Yes, these are elderly people who have come to realize their dreams. Unfortunately, in their eighties and nineties, but it's better late than never, ...... ". I didn't get the feeling that she was complaining about other passengers being too old, just passing an observation.
  11. Go on. I've never been there. Passed about 19 km from it on the motorway in 1996. I'll post a screen print. Now since you have got it. But Google lens found it. It has similar look to oodles of towns along our coast.
  12. @Victoria2, @Winifred 22 We did look at the M&S UK site rather than the two individual search links to Formal dresses and Women's Occasion Dresses. That presented much more choice including dresses that didn't look frumpy. 😀 Nothing that Nora thought was great but stuff from Phase Eight and Hobbs that were more to her taste. They could sort their filters out though. Some results for "mini" length, used a very generous amount of fabric. 😀
  13. I read some time ago in the local press that Monaco have a policy of encouraging high value tourism. That means they only want small ships carrying high nett worth passengers that might spend vast sums in their boutiques. They're quite open about not wanting thousands of folk who only want to look at stuff and maybe buy a pizza and drink. Residents around Nice Port don't want any large vessels calling that might deposit soot on their balconies. Other activists want to stop cruise visits at Nice and Villefranche. Further afield similar things are going on at Toulon and Marseilles. Perhaps folk need to think of the ship as their destination.
  14. 🤣🤣 Some of the size labels could be quite confusing.
  15. If I hadn't shrunk, the tux suits would have been M&S as well, and more of the shirts. If someone can prove that all their shoes and handbags and any other empty spaces have been filled with clothing, I might believe they don't have space for a tie. Even things like camera bags. Do they have packing to protect the camera? Why not replace that with clothing?
  16. I just did an online search and picked M&S EU results for Formal dresses and Women's Occasion Dresses. All the formal stuff was Jaeger and most expensive was €199. It would really need to be an exceptional item for us to consider paying that for a dress. But the biggest problem is it all looked frumpy. Everyday wear perhaps, but would need significant accessorising to wear on a night out. The emails I've received in recent times have gents suits in pastel colours, no sign of ties. And other casual garments. They suggest I might be interested in such styles for an event? Wednesday morning grocery shopping? 😀
  17. Depending on what and where the construction is, getting a transfer to AirTrain might be an option. Bearing in mind you said you'll only have hand luggage, another possibility is ferry to Rockaway. I think @Pushpit did that last year. It needs two ferries transferring at Pier 11 or Sunset Park and connections might not be great. From Rockaway I think you need a train then AirTrain, but I've never looked at those details.
  18. We have some M&S ladies wear, shirts and ties that we have worn in the evening on Cunard but only shirts and ties on an advertised gala. My wife's two black M&S suits will probably be used on evenings next time, again not gala nights. In terms of 'dumbing down' that was discussed here recently I find it quite amusing that M&S keep sending me promotional emails proclaiming their latest in occasionwear or smart outfits, and when I open the emails all I see is casual wear!
  19. I think this confirms that the Pavilion Pool has steps at the end furthest from the big screen. It's a crop from a friend's Facebook post. Hopefully CC's displayed resolution will show the steps under water and the person in the photo appears to be climbing the steps.
  20. Depends on what height you are. If you are not very short, and taking snaps with anything other than a wide angled lens, the foreground obstruction wouldn't really obstruct the view.
  21. I assume you don't have pets?
  22. Apologies; I didn't realise there were balcony cabins of that configuration. The comparison videos I suggested folk look for were all inside cabins.
  23. I've seen YouTube video comparisons of the two types. Not sure who by. It might have been Paul and Carole Love to Travel.
  24. I've never owned AirTags and am unlikely to. The promotional material suggests two things. If the phone and the AirTag are within about 10 metres of each other there will be a directional arrow showing the location of the AirTag. I imagine by that stage you would probably have the person carrying it in view. The other situation is where the AirTag location is picked up by other iPhones and is displayed on a map. I appreciate the map will only show plain blue but I get the impression that the location of the phone tracking it will be shown as well. I would have hoped that would have shown the general direction on the ship that it was located compared to the tracking phone. Of course that doesn't resolve the issue of what deck the thing might be on. I didn't find a demo video showing that sort of tracking, most cover the close location function but not longer distances. Some of the promo pictures show article location and a blue dot for phone location, but I don't know if that is what happens in reality. If it is how it displays it should indicate the general direction to move in even without a ship outline. Assuming that one doesn't just make simpler arrangements to keep in contact.
