If you cancel for any reason ( not covered by medical certificate) the amount of the penalty (money lost) depends on number of days before sailing, greater penalty closer you are to sailing. Check link in post#4 for details.

Have you used booking.com taxi to request a quote? Seems like van for 7 from airport to city centre hotel is around $100

Super speedy, I screenshot my statement showing my shares and attached to email with my name, booking number in topic line for 2 BTB August sailings at 3.30 today and account credited today by 5.00pm. WOW.

I agree with you and can confirm mine were also 2 $100 FCD bought in 2019 and were never refunded when I cancelled my 2023 cruise (rebooked from planned earlier cruise during Covid) as told the FCD were now past the 2 years from purchase!

The same with cruises to Europe for past hour. Looks like total booking system.

You probably don't want to know this but I cancelled a Feb cruise (for any reason) with my box store TA last week on Jan11. Filed claim with AON Jan 11( no docs needed). Immediate Return email. Cash refund on CC Jan 14 and today Jan 16, FCC email and can see FCC amts and expiry date in personalizer! A record perhaps. I would like to know why the refundable $200FCDeposit was never returned - seems odd. Does anyone know the answer. Thanks

I would also like answers from those on board now whether they have used the love boat sale $100 shore excursion credit for other purposes eg gratuities, drinks, gifts etc. Thanks

Can someone clarify who pays the new gratuities and when. Above It states it goes into effect for new bookings after Dec. 14 2022 which implies if you already have a booking old rates apply. Then last sentence says, clients with existing bookings can prepay at old rate until Dec13. Makes you think if you don’t prepay by then, even with existing booking, old rate may not apply? I’m confused. Am I totally misunderstanding there English and what if existing booking is for cruise after Feb 20, 2023?

True, it doesn’t state it must be used for Excursion only, but then why call it specifically a Shore Excursion credit. Why not call it extra OBC or general purpose credit instead of being ambiguous and confusing us all. Like most people I would prefer to use it for anything on board.
