Anxiety over Traveling with kids Birth Certificates
rockmom replied to Eddie Wilson's topic in Royal Caribbean International
They are not needed--until they are, and you have to fly home, but you can't. Because you or your child doesn't have a passport. Then you are dealing with the embassy and a whole lot of grief rather than getting home for whatever the emergency might be. Very terrifying if you are ill or injured and would much prefer to be in the U.S. for care. -
For something like the zipline, you could shut yourself out of getting it if you wait. When you go to book it, you choose the time. Prime time slots fill up. There will probably be another sale starting soon, I'd book it then to ensure that you get it, and that you get a time that you want. We booked it mid-morning, so that the rest of the day we could enjoy the beach and lunch without have to head to the tram and head up the 'mountain' to do the zip.

someone posted them several pages back in this thread. But the cruisedeckplans dot com site has the current plans if you want to check there. -
Utopia of the Seas Blocks Are In The House!
rockmom replied to Lloyd555's topic in Royal Caribbean International
ok, I'm logged into the regular site and am only seeing things slowing showing up, but for most of them, lots of categories not showing yet. I'm pretty sure all of the neighbhood balconies on all the sailings are not actually gone. Just not showing up on the regular website is my guess. -

It doesn't seem 'fully baked' yet. No neighborhood balconies, etc. And I've looked at a lot of random dates. -

They have or are in the process of converting the Jazz on 4 space on all the Oasis class ships into the non-smoking casino. I wish they'd make the smaller one the smoking casino, but baby steps, lol. -
Tracking Device for Child on Vision of the Seas?
rockmom replied to LeslieMusician's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I've never heard of it either, so if it exists, I'm thinking it's not on Royal. What I think Adventure Ocean has is a way to page you to come get your child if there are issues while they are checked in to an Adventure Ocean program. Vision has very little for children other than the kid's club. No splash pad/kids pool or mini-golf. You should check out Adventure Ocean as soon as you board to see what might be offered for a 3 year-old. -
Help pick an obstructed view balcony
rockmom replied to colesc15's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I'd take that aft balcony every time. I had an aft balcony on deck 10 on explorer for Alaska and the views were spectacular, especially when the ship stops and does the 360 degree slow spin. -

I loved seeing the Pesky Parrot listed--figured it would be a Tiki bar like on Navigator and Mariner. (Bamboo Room) -

I usually stay on the ship, especially if sailing solo. Going with friends in Dec, so we bought Baha Bay waterpark. -

Since it is a full day of flying for me (6 hours, plus the 3 hour time difference on the way there) I like the 4 nighters if I can't take more than a week off. I fly in on Saturday, enjoy Coco Beach (or Fort Lauderdale or Miami) for a day, then sail. I can decide to fly home immediately following the cruise, or not until Saturday which still gives me a day at home to do laundry and get ready for the work week. I have a couple of these coming up later this year on Indy and Allure. Even if I don't get off the ship, it's a very relaxing week. -

I think the reveal for the 'public' at the earlier time will be the teaser video of all the things that will make you want to book the ship. The webinar for TA's will be to fill them in on how/when they'll be able to take bookings. Just my 2 cents. -
It's one big bottle in the shower that is for 'hair and body', a combo shampoo/body wash thing. So if that's cool for you, then yes. Many people, myself included, bring their own individual. They do put a very small bar of soap at the sink. It sucks the moisture right outta your hands by day two, lol.

But from the teasers, it looks like it's a 'reveal video' of things on the ship to pump up the hype before booking opens. Do you really think it will open for booking at that same time? Probably a question for @Ourusualbeach I guess. -

when looking at the list of perks, it clearly says they do get access to Coastal Kitchen, which is all one big space with the Suite Lounge on Oasis class. -
Tender timing Navigator in Catalina?
rockmom replied to mattR's topic in Royal Caribbean International
you booked this through a 3rd party, not through Royal? Then yes, you'd need to get a tender ticket. It can be a slow process as anyone who booked excursions through Royal, anyone in a suite and anyone with The Key, will be ahead of you (and those groups don't need tender tickets). After all of those people are off, they'll start calling the group numbers. It can also be a very long line to get the tickets as well. -

I'll probably just miss it on my Allure cruise in early December. But should be good to go for my Anthem cruise in April. 🙂 -

Maybe this is why many of us are not seeing a Coco Cay Beach Club pass only for our 2024 cruises. Cabanas yes, just the pass to the Beach Club, no. Maybe they figure they'll drop some paid stuff for the new area first? I'm just noodling on what kind of money-sucking plan they might have in the works, lol. -

I agree with Biker. I feel like it disappeared from sailings as each ship moved to Starlink.

What is check in time if have the Key?
rockmom replied to elizabethbp's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It will vary by ship. Make sure you do the online checkin though and just choose a random time, but definintely do the checkin so you get your set sail pass. You'll get an email a few days before giving you instructions on arrival for The Key. It will tell you when to show up (I've had it say 11, 11:30), and then where you need to go once onboard. Very clear instructions and very easy once onboard. Oh and look for The Key line at the terminal. Should be right where the suites also board, depending on your departure port.
