  1. A ship's AC is not the same as your house. YOu can't set it freezing cold like at home. It is a small range and depending on how often you use your balcony, the sunshine, and the warm breeze, the tempature will not be cold enough for a person that likes it freezing. That is why the complaints.
  2. IF by the glass, tell the waiter, you want more than one glass, and please bring a second one, shortly after the food arrives. If you mean a bottle do it yourself, if no one is nearby. As far as tips are concerned, you pay 18% so no need to tip extra. The wine will exist with or without a tip extra.
  3. In NJ I went to the beach all summer. I did all kinds of free stuff, but if I was in the mood, I went on the boardwalk, played games, arcades, and/or went to the amusement park on the pier. CocoCay is just that. It is a beach day, but if you want something else, than you can pay for it. It is not a theme park. It is an area, with options for a family or yourself, but yet you can still just go to the beach. I personally like the giant pool, with a swim up bar. I like the vibe of the place. I don't use the water slides or the activites. I don't even spend money. It's just a nice day, and I prefer it over Labadee.
  4. Yes, they only give you water now, and you can't get a soda. This is not a covid issue, but an issue, where, they basically downsized your choices just like the changed the meals, and once a day room cleaning. Almost every perk in the service industry has been decreased for the same issues as increased cost of people, increased food cost, and just an overall increase in the last few years. But the poster did just want water bottles. Remember also, you can bring water yourself on board, which was another change not related to covid.
  5. First, please remembe that you are not special, every guest on the ship, can do this. It even now shows on the app. The email is not needed. This is nothing more than you make a bid, and if a room opens up for any reason, the hightest bidder will get it. Now, if many rooms are available in your mock booking, the chances might be greater. But again, this is nothing more than a bid.
  6. Pandemic did not change your benefits. Yes, you still get water in your cabin, and it is two per person for Diamond. Diamond plus might be 3.
  7. Well, first thing is that it will be windy. Your hair will get messy. Hang on to your hat. Ship might sway a bit. By the way, hurricane season is about 6 months long, and to worry about it is nonsense. The ship will not sail into the eye, and in the worst case, you will be rerouted, but the cruise will go on.
  8. Just a wild guess, but your cruise documents are official.....and third party web-pages are not. Lavrion is a cruise port for Olympia
  9. Well, water is free out of any water sink. So, is it worth it? Nope. Water does not have a brand, but the company the bottles it has a label. But this is my opinion, and if you need it, and feel it is good to pay for it, than that is your choice. No one can tell you.
  10. Hamburgers, hot wings, and sports bars are not really a thing in Asia. However, noodle bar replaces Johnny Rockets. Nice thing about going on ships like this, is that it is a different experience to enjoy.
  11. So every once in a while, a poster comes on to these boards to complain about an item that they did not know about, but the Oasis Class ships had show reservations since the first ship came out. I was last on one about 9 years ago, and I remember reservations were needed. So in all those years, the poster, never read about it, or knew about it until they just posted. Plus it is always talked about how you can still just show up, and be in standby and mostly, you have no issues but the comedy club. Guess the poster will just have to accept this is the way it is, try again later, and accept that they missed this info for the last decade?
  12. what is pre-covid? Menu never changed that I am aware of.
