why would anyone really care if the epic in some peoples estimation is "ugly" or not. as long as your cabin is neat, nicely arranged and comfortable, and the amenities are there who cares what the ship looks like? although some of the cabin setups are questionable, and one can wonder what the designers were either smoking or drinking when they designed her. been on the epic twice, and how she looked out side, never even occurred to me
-
i can see the problem, but with all the dining options on board, why would you want to eat in the same place for 7 days. im sure any of the many restaurants on the ship, can accomodate you with a wheelchair accessible table, and seafood less menu choices. i'd be very much surprised if ncl couldnt do this for you

if sailing from jacksonville is their new big announcement, i continue to be underwhelmed. id rather watch paint dry, it;s much more exciting
-
having read all of ncl's underwhelming "big "announcements", from 70% off 2nd guest, 2nd guess is free, 50% off cruise, etc and seeing no major changes in actual pricing, i'm not going to hold my breath

hey, UK, you left out chilling and pouring my champagne, and making my omelet in the morning

any one over 65 who lived on the east coast should know murray the K, alias 5th beatle. major new york dj. right up there with cousin brucie and if you dont like and appreciate doo wopp, you're missing a great number of amazing groups and songs. if all i heard on a hip was doo wopp, i'd be in heaven. lets hear it for the 5 satins, the flamingoes, and the penquins to just to name a few of the many outstanding vocal groups from that era. by the way, i'm 76, and i am definitely NOT A SWIFTIE!

it's good if you want an inside cabin

tried that, didnt work. also the form wont show a "country code" although i know it's 1 by the way, as far as the drink goes, we have a deal!

hey cruisey! believe me i tried. ivsa wanted almost $400 for me and my wife, evisa wont let me get through the 1st page. one of the things they want filled in is "OTP' i have no idea how to fill this in/ nor how to get this. i did find out that it stands for 1 time (and i forgot what the p stands for. you're a travel agent, and by previous posts, i understand you do this for friends and close family members, but i beseech you for one time, can you slightly move out of your comfort zone and "HELP"

Encore: Ncl replacing canceled production show with game show
complawyer replied to fstuff1's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
so yvrteacher, do you use any other criteria when booking? are you claiming that if the shows offered are not to your liking/tastes, you wont book the cruise. i concede that everyone has different tastes, but personally, i prefer booking based on ports of call, and price. Sometimes i never even get to the shows, and even if it's a show i want to see, oftentimes, we never get around to seeing it. in 25 cruises, some shows i never bothered with seeing, some were good, some were just ok, and some were merely meh! none of them (imho) ever reached the level of sensational, although i thought six came really close. we walked out of jersey boys, even though im a died in the wool 4 seasons fan. Frankie Valli he aint, and it just seemed tp follow the movie. that being said, however, if we're ever on the same ship at the same time in the stardust theater, allow me to buy you a drink -

i thought "SIX" was amazing! Saw it on the bliss in 2022. it played again in los angeles, and we saw it again. got tickets for my grandson (24) and his girlfriend, and they both loved it. give the girls their proper props. non-stop energy. great music, what more could anyone ask for/ once again, "to each his own" i guess -

Can anyone say what the height is under the beds?
complawyer replied to Big Red 85's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
you can usually slide 2 28" suitcases under the bed. i would guestimate the distance from the floor to the bed itself is about 12'' or less. we usually leave any smaller cases we have, tucked away by the curtain in front of the balcony window. and yes, we're in a 2 bedroom suite -
Is this an option for a new NCL show?

didnt you ever hear "blue suede shoes" ? all 4 in the quartet, were about the same time period -
hey, cambridge1.. read my lips..... "there ain't no dress code"! le bistro requires collared shirts, some mdr's require long pants, but any collared shirts or long pants will fit the requirement. other then that, the sky's the limit, and personally, i would pay extra (call it a tip or a bribe) to see my buddy chief jrk mate pop into a restaurant in his jammies...LOL
-
cagney's and le bistro! hand's down. they win by a mile. but if you get any free dinners, try as many as you can. "Q" however is not offered on most of the ncl ships

patrlr & eroller, ok, i stand corrected. but personally, what shows are on board dont even factor in to my decision we were on a b2b last july - aug, 19 days, and i think i sat through 1 show, and walked out on another. i do give props to the singers and dancers however, for the energy they display in learning new songs/routines on an almost daily basis. some shows, however, seem to be wanna be's "america's got talent" -
hey graphic guy, did you tell your friend, generally, it's probably cheaper to take the family on a cruise then to take them to disneyworld. my sister lives in orlando, and has yearly passes. she tells me the lines, for everything, food, rides, etc are ridiculous. add in the costs for a hotel and the actual costs for tickets to all 4 parks, and you're really dropping a bundle. i think the cutting in line concept is called genie+. if not, sorry. everything costs a bundle in disneyworld, and you cant buy a pepsi anywhere throughout the properties.

is mrs schmoopie aware of these proclivities, if not, you buy the 1st round of drinks, or im telling. btw, i still prefer michael corleones wife, and it's the only scene throughout the entire movie where you can see her boobs, so ogle to your hearts content lol -

bkrickles1 consider i was at polk in 1969. believe me it su***d. also, since i was drafted, i think it would be very hypocritical of me to accept thanks for something i was forced to and really didn't want to do
-
im not sure this is consistent in the entire ncl fleet, but we did a b2b last july-aug on the dawn. i had previously registered as a vet (they give you 10% off as a military discount). on both legs of the cruise, there was a very nice booklet, a ships medallion, and a veteran's commemorative medallion waiting for me, as well as a veteran's cocktail party and free picture. even though i bristle a bit when someone says thank you for your service, i thought this was a very nice gesture on the part of ncl. we're booked on the star in april, and i'm curious as to whether or not this will be repeated. hey warf... in 1969 benning wasnt so bad. i spent 12 weeks there. fort polk is fort polk. nuff said, i was there twice within 1 year. if you were there as often as you say, you have my deepest sympathy
