  1. I checked at midnight and again at 6am for my cruise on the Celebration over Xmas. Must’ve sold out in between or was never listed.
  2. The casino has a million offers that they send out. They also have invite only offers that have additional benefits. Premier Cruise - They have drawings and games in the casino just for Premier guests. Usually you get some swag in your room. Ultra Cruise - Step up from premier, has less invites and better odds for drawings and games. Also every invitee gets an envelope Containing a prize. From previous cruises, prizes ranged from like $100 Fun Play all the way up to iPads and 50 inch tvs. Elite Cruise - Most exclusive of the casino cruises. Includes a lot of additional perks such as free airport transfers, free drinks everywhere onboard the ship for you and a guest, free bottle of booze and mixers sent to your room, free excursion, etc.
  3. Is she in the Alchemy bar? The other day she was working at Latitudes and said she would be there for a while. We met her on the Vista earlier this year and she is Facebook friends with my husband. Lol
  4. I don’t think that’s an option anymore. We usually either wait until port days and use Wi-Fi at port, or will buy the cheaper internet package so we can use Facebook messenger to check in on our dogs.
  5. We have had ocean suites on Panorama and Vista and never received access to the Havana areas.
  6. Hi! Sailing in a little over a month on the Celebration and had a few questions for those that have been on the Excel class. 1. What lunch options are opened up on embarkation day? We usually go straight to Cucina on the other class of ships for lunch and to avoid the crowd of the Lido deck. 2. Where can I look to book the Loft 19 cabanas? Do I have to wait until on board? I don’t see them on my planner. 3. Anyone had a vegetarian entree at Rudy’s? We usually go to the steakhouse one night and the chef will always prepare me a pasta dish of some type since I’m a vegetarian. (Husband isn’t!) We we’re thinking of booking Rudy’s on Christmas night but was wondering if anyone has had luck with this. Thanks!
  7. It was in July on the Vista. The hostess didn’t explicitly say “No” but said that his outfit did not match the attire for Elegant night. We rescheduled for the next night and he wore dark jeans and a button up and was one of the most “dressed up”.
  8. Little French Key has been accused of purposely destroying the coral reef and drugging animals (large exotic cats) for photo ops.
  9. Also, the Steakhouse is much more “strict” about the dress code on formal night than the MDR. We were comped a steakhouse dinner from the cruise and had to reschedule for a different night because my husband didn’t have the appropriate clothing. He had black pants and a button up, but not a tie or jacket.
  10. Belize: Coral Breeze Tours for snorkeling. You get solid snorkeling, a stop at the shark and ray alley, and a 90 minute stop on Caye Caulker to grab lunch and explore the tiny island. Mahogany Bay: Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth! We’ve done the snorkeling package with them before too! Paid like $50 pp for monkeys and sloths, small snorkel on beautiful waters, and then a private driver took us to opposite side for some fish tacos.
  11. We went on a Superbowl Cruise a few years ago and they had it on every TV outside of the staterooms. They played it in the big theater, at the pool, in the bars that had TVs, etc. I would assume it would be the same on the new ships as well!
  12. Does anyone know if some of the specialty restaurants will be complimentary like they are on the Mardi Gras?
  13. Not the same offer, just the same type. I just got email confirmation back from the casino. My husband had a Premier Cruise with a free Suite, DOU for him + a companion everywhere on the ship and $1000 in Fun Play. That is what we booked for December on the Celebration. I have a Premier with a free Balcony, DOU for me + Companion in the Casino only, and $1000 in Fun Play. They confirmed that we would both have free drinks everywhere and each get $1000 in Fun Play. "ENJOY THESE EXCLUSIVE ONBOARD AMENITIES: COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS FOR YOU AND A GUEST WHILE PLAYING IN THE CASINO; JOSHUA HAS DRINKS ON US EVERYWHERE ONBOARD THE SHIP + A COMPANION. COMMEMORATIVE CARNIVAL PLAYERS CLUB® GIFT PREMIER-ONLY EVENTS OTHER PERKS AND SURPRISES $1000 FUN PLAY FOR EACH OF YOU " Also in July we went on a "Jackpot" offer and he had only DOU for himself and I had DOU in the Casino and we each got $1000 in Fun Play, along with his free Suite.
  14. Either call and ask to talk to the casino line, or use the contact us link on the casino website prior to your cruise and they can honor it. They don't have to be the same offer, they have to be the same "type" of offer. Example "Hot Streak Bonus", "Jackpot Deal", etc. They will be able to add her perks to the sailing as well. I just emailed for my cruise in December that was booked under my husband's offer and they confirmed I will receive my drinks and free play as well.
  15. I used to work for a company that received a 70% off discount on all Elemis products. I always tell them up front “I actually work for Steiner!” Which is their parent company. My mother in law always says “Oh my DIL works for The same company so I have all of this for free.” They usually don’t ask.
  16. Has anyone cruised recently on a Casino Premier Cruise? Previously when my husband and I sailed on these, they had priority boarding along with Platinum/Diamond and Suite guests. I know that on our cruise in July, only Suite guests got the priority boarding, but that wasn't a casino cruise. This is what it says under the booking benefits: "Premier boarding and luggage handling".
  17. I’ve always just called the casino line.
  18. Just be mindful that only you will receive the free drinks. If you’re going with someone else and they have the same offer, they can get it added on for free. Or they can purchase cheers for themselves onboard.
  19. Husband and I always go to Cucina! We have been early and late boarding and have never had to wait. It’s the perfect place to get a nice free bowl of pasta, sit down without a crowd and wait until the rooms open!
  20. It's called fresh creations and it is on Serenity.
  21. These are the worst Ultra invites I've ever seen. My husband has an Elite offer for a Free Balcony, and we are booked on the Celebration for Christmas on a Free Suite with $1000 in Fun Play and Drinks for us both everywhere that's a premiere. His Ultra offer that popped up today is for a Free Interior, $500 and Free Drinks only in the Casino. Not worth the chance to win a free TV that we don't need.
  22. What is it about the Havana area that makes it a must!?
  23. Hubby and I have an offer for a free Suite on the Celebration, however the date we want is mostly booked and the only option left for a suite is for the Family Harbor Oceanview. Why on earth would you book a suite without a balcony? We've decided to just go with a balcony instead but we have options and I'd love to get some opinions on which you'd choose. Background, we are both in our 30s, no children and hubby likes to spend time in the casino and in the room relaxing, I prefer sunshine and exploring for my relaxation. We have always stayed in a Cove Balcony (we love being close to the water!), Normal Balcony, or Ocean Suite. We really enjoy sitting on the balcony and and just watching the water and occasional wildlife. For the Celebration (or Mardi Gras), which of these would you pick and I'll expand on my hesitations. All would be the same price (free!). Havana Extended Cabana - Worried that we won't have a great "view". We love laying on the bed looking out to see the ocean or spending our mornings on the balcony with our coffee staring mindlessly into the ocean. Do you feel like the lack of privacy is worth the Havana perks? How was your view from inside your cabin and outside on your cabana? Premium-View Extended Balcony- Worried about the lack of privacy from above and below, as well as the same "Can you see the ocean from your bed?" Extended Balcony - Solid option, any cons? Cloud 9 Spa Cove Balcony (Or Regular Spa Balcony) - We would pick the Cove if we did this option just to be closer to the water. Is the Spa pass worth the smaller balcony? I always get a spa treatment on the ship, but was left underwhelmed last month on the Vista spa. Never used the thermal suites, but thought it could be a nice area to check out. Is it normally busy? Which would you pick and why?
  24. Pre-Pandemic, the casino department was always great with comps! My husband would always get a free steakhouse and Cuccina for us both and it always came with a comped bottle of wine. We also have come back from port to find cookies or strawberries and champagne in our room with a note from the casino host. I don’t gamble as much, but still gamble, and I normally get offers for free “steakhouse upgrades” in the MDR. We have also received a free massage once when the restaurants were all booked. From our experience, its better to go on a non-casino cruise for better perks. Less sharks I’m the water! We leave next weekend for our first since Covid and we will see how it compares!
  25. No clue about curlers, but I always bring my curling wand without issues.
