  1. Can a lettuce salad be that much different between lines? Hoping they’ll jazz it up a bit for me
  2. When was your last Silversea meal? Maybe things have changed since then? Are you suggesting that Silversea dining errs on quantity versus quality? Guess I’ll be able to judge for myself next week - and yes my bags are packed for their door to door service
  3. I saw mention of 9 dining locations in the press release - anyone care to hazard a guess as to what they would be? I can get to 8 with the inclusion of room service - maybe if you count the Vintage room you’d get nine? And I wonder if the Supper Club returns? - gee maybe there are 10 😂 Waterside Marketplace The Bistro Tastes The Grill Italian restaurant Japanese (big maybe) Supper club Room service? Vintage room It still leaves them short in comparison to some other lines
  4. I think the months after COVID hit would rival it - when refunds weren’t forthcoming

  6. The funniest post of the day I think many of us know that Ter777 has the most cruises on Crystal of ANYONE (bar none!) on this board - and this is how new Crystal treat her - the irony Is it a case of the squeaky wheel getting all the attention? I hope not!
  7. International pricing arbitrage can sometimes be a very very good thing. We recently saved 40% off our cruise using it to our advantage But you need agents who can sell in those currencies/markets
  8. Yes let’s all spare a thought for our TA’s today They have an unenviable role today - great to be booking but a challenging task I take my hat off to all Travel Agents who are looking after us today
  9. Watch out you’ll get pulled up by the gym junkies - apparently gyms are now “fitness centres” 😉😂 Can those courts be multiple games - aren’t they different markings? There may be other differences but I think that’s more equipment related then the courts
  10. They’re very busy today and have limited resources - if it’s not urgent why not leave it a day or two I’d suggest only calls re bookings would be the order of the day today
  11. Do the fares include port charges and taxes? I have asked Crystal about Taxes/Port Fees, and they said that these are included in the price you see on the website, unlike Old Crystal - but just check when making your booking that is the case. But useful for comparison shopping
  12. Cruise Industry News https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/02/crystal-cruises-announces-summer-2023-return/
  13. He wrote to me too - he’s been busy…
  14. I wonder who got reservation number 1?
  15. They were able to do that as people registered for the Open Deposit or for further info declared whether they were or weren't Crystal Society members - I'm not sure how much validation of that status occurred I'm not so sure they bought the customer database from Crystal
  16. The first thing that needs to happen is to clarify just what a Crystal Society member is - do we get our TA's to validate that to Crystal - I don't believe the new Crystal has all the records from the old Crystal so validating Society membership isn't as simple as looking in a database Similarly what happens to past cruise counts and awards for milestones - are we all starting at Zero again? or do you keep your attainments in the past - and if so how are they to be validated? I wonder if they're going to offer a Referral programme hey we can all refer each other as "first time" cruisers on new Crystal 🙂 Of course 5% discount would be great - lets hope it happens
  17. Think you’ll find most know what I mean - and I’m younger than you 😉 Either way replace it with a culinary school I say 😂
  18. Cruise Passenger Australia coverage https://cruisepassenger.com.au/news/crystal-cruises-returns-larger-staterooms-and-australia-bound-itineraries
  19. Yes the skewers and beautiful meat feast is no longer - but we don’t know if anything will replace it at night
  20. A bit harder than getting itineraries and pricing out - but hey they managed that easily didn’t they 😉
  21. I was just going to post the same comment about the gym 😂😂😂 - rip it out and put in a culinary arts teaching kitchen 😉
  22. Great news - finally something to actually make a decision on It’s loading then up now - so give it time to include all the cruises
  23. I know we’ll end up with multiple threads but let’s try to keep it all in one maybe? Starting off with SeaTrade https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/ship-operations/new-crystal-cruises-launch-bigger-staterooms-familiar-faces? and Travel Weekly https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Crystal-unveils-launch-dates-for-refurbished-ships?
  24. That assumes they ever were in style…
  25. Thanks - I’ve sent the TRS an email asking about Cairns - we leave Australia from Cairns on Silver Muse next month so I’m hoping I can make a claim at the cruise terminal as we pass through customs processing
