  1. Hi all, Hope you are well. Finally feel ready to book a cruise again, so back needing your help. I'm sure this question has already been answered but couldn't find anything. Just wondering what cabins are currently being used for isolation on Brittania. Have a great day, Andy
  2. I saw Ventura looking beautiful as I came back from the Island, didn't realise she had issues. Andy
  3. I couldn't believe how close she seemed to come. We are good, thank you for asking. Andy
  4. Up close and personal with Arcadia whilst on the IOW ferry today. Very jealous of all the smiling passengers on their way out to sea... Andy
  5. Each to their own, but Michelle has to put up with my sense of humour all year round, so we like to spread the 'love' on a cruise. We have been lucky to meet some great friends for life from all backgrounds and haven't really encountered any bad ones. It really is a big part of the holiday for us. Andy
  6. Great, balanced review, thank you. I think that sums up most of our pre covid experiences, never perfect but always manage to have a good holiday. Glad some form of normality seems to be coming back. Hopefully Arvia will give you more of what you need. Andy
  7. Ha ha, if that was only the case for me... I get overwhelmed by the choice and end up with a large tray of food that often involves curry, roast potatoes, some noodles, a spring roll and a slice of pork because it looked nice... Ooh, and I will just try a bit of that lasagne... Obviously topped off with at least 3 desserts because again, I couldn't choose... Nothing gets wasted though, unless it's horrible but very rarely does that happen. Andy
  8. Ha ha... This is hilarious... Read back Wowzz, second reply to this thread and the first person to mention Azura was you!!! Thank you for making me smile Andy
  9. I have replied to this? Where has it gone? Yes, had a great service on Oceana just before she went, hosted by the Captain and attended by many of the crew as a lot of them are ex services. Andy
  10. We were on Oceana just before she went and they had a fantastic, well attended remembrance service, led by the Captain. Many crew are ex forces, so plenty of them were present. Andy
  11. Ooh, you have me thinking now Dai? I thought it was 7 but may have been 5. Im sure you are right about the length of cruise making a difference, but also a point was made to us that the staff who had worked the Xmas period got off for New Year and were not sufficiently replaced. It was also our first time on Ventura after many trips mainly on Aurora, Oceana and Britannia, so was a bit of a culture shock... Andy
  12. Fair point, but I tend to park away not to make others lives difficult. I just don't understand the reasoning. Andy
  13. We haven't done Christmas, but did New Year on Ventura. We had a great time but never again. The ship was just too crowded and under staffed. It had attracted large parties, squeezed in to cabins which made the ship far too overcrowded and noisy. The Glass House was just being used as an overspill pub, as were all the communal areas. I'm sure others have had better experiences, but we struggled a bit. Andy
  14. Oh Josy, this happened to me today and seems to happen every day!!?! I have a biggish car, so try to keep out of everyones way. In a near empty car park, cars had parked really close either side of me... I just don't understand it. Andy
