Hi welcome to CC (Cruise Critics)
-
We keep all the ducks, we find, until the end of the cruise. We then decide which 1 to take home then hide the rest.

Has anyone from the UK been offered the package? I'm have 2 up coming sailing on the Anthem, out of Southampton, and I have not been offered the package

Hi, try asking your question on the British Isles forum https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/148-british-isleswestern-europe/ or contact Princess directly.

Wheelchair availability at Southampton port
Bloodgem replied to gunnywife's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
At the entrance to the terminal building staff will direct you to the wheelchair assisted boarding area. What ship are you cruising on? As if you know which company is providing port services for that ship you may be able to prearrange wheelchair assistance. For example if you are sailing on Anthem of the Sea you need to contact Intercruises to prearrange wheelchair assistance. -
TAKE THE POLL: Which stateroom should be choose?
Bloodgem replied to EllinWebster's topic in Royal Caribbean International
8184 because we try to avoid any cabins that are near bars -
Consider posting your question on the Royal Caribbean International forum. @Ourusualbeach, a CC member, may know if there is such a website. I have only seen Ourusualbeach post on the RCI forum.

Check out 'Rip Off Britain; Holidays: Series 11, Episode 5. Which aired on the January 6th 2023. They did an item about getting travel insurance for world cruises. I'm not sure if the item will be useful 🤷♂️

You are welcome. Carers UK is for carers but carers do need back up carers at various times. That is why people contact them.

Southampton parking discount code
Bloodgem replied to Norwich Cruiser's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We always use AB Parking and never had a problem until our last cruise in May 2022. Just after we had unloaded the cases, from our car, there was very heavy down pour of rain. The porters were great they quickly got most of our cases in their van before they got wet. Unfortunately the rain managed to ruin the luggage tag on my case. The case made it on to the ship but not to my cabin. I had to collect it up at Guest Services. -
Consider ringing nursing care agencies in your area to see how much they will charge you. Have you considered contacting Carers UK as they may be able to give you some advice about getting a carer for your cruise. https://www.carersuk.org/

What I'm struggling to understand is you obviously put a great deal of planning into your cruises, because you need a handicapped cabin and would prefer cruises without too many kids. As part of your planning surely you would have mentioned to person you booked the cruise with that you needed a refundable deposit along with needing a handicapped cabin.

Try AF2018 it worked for me in January 2023. It did not work when I copied and pasted the code but it did work when I typed the code in, using capital letters.

Agreed but we zone out when someone asks about the engines

I'm not sure why you think you will get flack as we have all experienced similar situations. We always sail in accessible cabins. Somewhere in the cabin there will be damage, normally marks on the wall, where previous guests have hit something with their scooter/wheelchair. In 1 cabin there was dust and more alarmingly we found 2 tablets/pills in a corner. We took pictures of the corner, flushed the pills and reported it to GS. GS apologised and said they would flag it up to housekeeping. A housekeeping supervisor came within an hour of us reporting the pills. He apologised and explained that the cabin had been empty for the past 2 weeks, hence the dust but he could not explain why the pills had not been spotted but he would flag up to all cabin steward and other supervisors to double check corners. On the same cruise, midway through the cruise only 1 Freestyle machine was working. At the end of the cruise all the machines were working but all of them had half of the drinks out of stock.

I'm glad it worked for you

AF2018 worked for me on Wednesday 18th January 2023. It did not work when I copied and pasted the code but it did work when I typed the code in, using capital letters. I got 10% off.

There may not be any accessible rooms that are vacant. Cruise lines will sell empty accessible rooms to anybody about 8 weeks before departure date.
-
We have only sailed with Royal Caribbean. Balcony accessible cabins tend to sell out first on Royal. If you want to book a balcony book early.
-
Hi does anyone have the latest discount code please?
-
This concept discriminates against passengers that require wheelchair accessible cabins. As most of Royals ships do not have wheelchair accessible suites. On most ships the highest disabled cabin is a junior suite, which does not have access to the suites lounge and limited access to coastal kitchen.
