  1. There are California coastal cruises for that. They should add some new ports La Paz (I know Carnival stops here occasionally on their 8 itinerary) Loreto, Guaymas, and Manzanillo. This can be achieved by dropping (for this itinerary) PV and Mazatlan and adding La Paz and Loreto. And the following week drop Cabo and add Manzanillo or Guaymas.
  2. Take a taxi to the Malecon lots of shops and restaurants there. Plus loads of interesting statues to look at.
  3. I’m fine with those itineraries. Besides there’s only so many times you can go to the beach. Plus no airfare and hotel stay for us.
  4. According to JH, The Firenze is going to be home ported (most of the time) in Long Beach (hooray!!) but will also leave from San Francisco or San Diego (my guess).
  5. There are some brave souls in the pools on the 1st sea day (too cold for us). On the second sea day it warmed up and more people were in the pools. The pools were crowded on port days (Mazatlan and PV). Can’t answer the restaurant question as we only ate once in the steakhouse and we booked pre cruise.
  6. Yes, the walk up to the lighthouse is steep, but the walk to the lighthouse isn’t as steep. But in the warmer months this may be too much.
  7. You can walk to the lighthouse. There is an elevated sidewalk most of the way.
  8. I’ll find out in June. Crowds are one of the reasons I book a balcony (on non Vista class ships then it’s Havana).
  9. Not sure which energy drinks Carnival has but they’re covered by Cheers. on my December Panorama cruise they had Jager.
  10. It’s too far to walk imo. I wouldn’t get off the ship to see the lobby. But I would walk to see the Queen’s Staircase and fort. Or Maybe the distillery.
  11. I believe you go to the left at the 1st intersection in the marina (when you get of the tender just past the pharmacy I think). There are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants in the marina.
  12. This right here is key, not just to cruising, but to life in general.
  13. It’s about $20 per person for a shared van.
  14. Take a cab to the beach for $20. Or get a day pass at the Hilton
  15. There are plenty of things to walk to in Nassau 2 Forts, The Queen’s Staircase, Watling’s Distillery, a beach with bars restaurants and facilities. Freeport: Not so much.
  16. Sadly Freeport is an industrial port and nothing is within walking distance (except for some shops, bars, and restaurants). Anything worth while requires a taxi or an excursion.
  17. Only you can make that choice. What worth it to me may not be worth it to you.
  18. Mazatlan the hike to and up to El Faro Lighthouse. (This might be too much in the warmer months). Or maybe urban hiking along the blue line. PV take a taxi and walk the length of the Malecon. Cabo no clue.
  19. You can flag down a pulmonia and tell them what you want to see. It’s super easy.
  20. Mango Deck isn’t too far at lest for us. It looks like fun. Plus it has great views.
  21. Yes it’s pretty easy to get to. here is a video
  22. On my Navigator of the Sea cruise I got a free drink. I guess the bartender wrote the wrong number or lost the paper she wrote it on.
  23. On our December Panorama cruise the Sky Zone was booked solid the whole cruise. At least that was what the CD said. It may have been a marketing ploy (ie hurry up and book before it sells out).
