  1. This was the itinerary we were supposed to go (on the Freedom) on but COVID canceled it. Will be following along.
  2. The restaurant will take USD, however they set their own conversion (usually posted). We usually take both and use the peso with the street vendors.
  3. My son loved our June 26 cruise on her. The Steakhouse was pretty full both times we went. Pro-Tip: hit up Shaq’s Chicken early in the cruise as most people don’t know it’s there and the lines are short or nonexistent (especially for breakfast). I’m glad you enjoyed your cruise.
  4. Never been to sail away or any other deck parties.
  5. If they are there you’ll see them (or at least their water spouts or whatever their breath is called). We saw whales and dolphins on our December cruise.
  6. If you use the Carnival card don’t you get 10% of excursions?
  7. Or you can walk there decide you don’t want to walk back and pay $1 for the shuttle back to the port.
  8. Next door there is the Hilton where you can buy a day pass. There are chairs owned by restaurants which are free (ok included) if you order food or drinks. Otherwise, there is plenty of space to throw down a towel.
  9. If you want to stay in one place (or have a homebase for a group). Then yes Cabanas are nice (plus the included snacks and drinks [nonalcoholic]).
  10. The Amber Cove Ocean Cabana went up to $499!!! Wow! Glad I booked it when it was cheaper.
  11. Thanks for distracting the drug dog. While it was sniffing you, I was able sneak my DRUGS! on.
  12. Take comfort in the fact that your dog is no longer in pain.
  13. for craps ss it $15 per bet or is it $15 total bet?
  14. You can always downgrade to a lowly cabana like us peasants.
  15. I’ve been to Mexico, DR, and Jamaica didn’t feel unsafe, but everyone is different.
  16. Most likely no. Both adults have to purchase Cheers!
  17. It's a website glitch. My June cruise was missing this morning but it is back now.
  18. I had one waaaaaaaaaay back in 2012 and from what I recall it was strong.
  19. Things Ensenada has going for it: Good Food: Tacos Fenix the birthplace of the fish taco and numerous other great restaurants and food carts. Good Drink: Hussong’s the birthplace of the Margarita Like wine? there’s Valle de Guadalupe (award winning wines). Like to shop? Ensenada has plenty of that. Like historical buildings? Try the cultural center (formerly a hotel/casino frequented by the rich and famous in the 30’s and possibly the birthplace of the Margarita as well). Like natural wonders? Visit La Bufadora (blowhole). And while there try Lidia’s tacos. beaches, horseback riding, zip lining, off roading, and brewery’s are also there.
  20. I might get flamed for this but my favorite cruise ports are Nassau and Ensenada. Before you ask I’ve been all over (not by ship tho). I just really have a blast in those two ports.
  21. Captain Marvin in GC go to Sting Ray City. in Key West get some key lime pie and have a drink at Sloppy Joe’s. in Belize go snorkeling.
  22. No need to prebook. A short walk to the water taxi (or a long bus ride to the “island”). Best transportation would be your legs and then the water taxi ($2 round trip) then your legs again to get to the beach area.
