    I do have to weigh in on all this. I was a server for my working life & did quite well. I had insurance (& paid vacation.. I did well enough to buy income property that I now live very comfortably on.

    I could not change to an earlier flight on Virgin the day of from London even though the airlines were very OK with it.

    What supplemental are you on? I just signed up with Scan because they supposedly pay overseas but I wasn't aware of one that would work on a ship

    Bottom line is no matter how much you paid for the basic drink package you will get drinks up to 15?

    Thanks, this seems like a great option. I would like to go up the Eiffel Tower but am afraid there is not enough time. Just want to see the major soghts & I know traffic can be difficult

    I wish I had done this.m I have OBC & wanted to buy an expensive tour with it, now tour is sold out. How do they handle the $50 shore excursion credit when you cancel & re-book?

    Thank you. I called the excursion desk & they have no idea where we will be dropped off. Have you been on this tour before?

    Ugh! Now the river cruise tour is not showing available! Does anyone know where the Eiffel Tower is in relation to where they drop you off on the Paris on your own?

    Yes they sell out! I paid the extra 5 pounds for changeable ticket & could not get on an earlier coach. Also on the way back it was full & people were on standby & could not get on. Any day a cruise ship is in port I'm assuming will be sold out.

    The "tiny houses" are also fun to visit & going in to one was about $3

    I've never had the desire to go to Paris & want to do the tour just to see the Eiffel Tower. I would never do Paris any other way because for me a few hours will suffice. They do have a guided tour with a river cruise for a lot more - I may do that if I can get any info on it.

    Does anyone know whee the Paris on your own excursions drop you ? Specifically NCL line? Can you walk to sites from there?

    Hello all, I hesitated & missed booking the Paris guided tour & all that's left is Paris on your own. I have never been in the city & will be doing this solo. Has anyone done this tour? Where do they drop you off? Can I walk to various sights from the drop of point? I'm not really confident using the public transportation in France

    I take socks, nightie & underwear that are older & throw them away to make room for things I buy. i buy clothes specifically for travel that are light, don't need ironing & that can be hand washed. Basic colors that can be mixed & matched.

    I would rather do train but I'm thinking of the walk with luggage to station, waiting for train then walking from station to check in would be more time consuming
