Sorry @MeganGC1983 there are so many terrible drivers everywhere. Glad everyone is OK.
Daughter & son-in-law treated us to Fathers Day dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse. Was delish.

We just made the same comparison 😂😂😂Overall, the dumplings were the highlight. Other than that, it was just average. Did the job though! And hey, can’t beat the price….
Or the setting!

My world too! Not that there’s anything wrong with that!

Have a good flight and good luck with the luggage. Another reason I hate all airlines and flying in general.

Our second day in Amsterdam the first stop was the Anne Frank house. Sorry, no pictures. Pictures are not allowed to be taken in the house.
If you want to tour the Anne Frank house, tickets are released on every Tuesday at 10:00am Amsterdam time. We got our tickets 6 weeks in advance. There is only so much room and you go through the original hiding space for the family which is very small
it was a very sobering experience but I highly recommend touring the home.
We toured the Anne Frank house about 10 years ago I found it absolutely chilling.

The Virgin Islands are now under a state of emergency. Why, you ask? We have no FG power!! The CEO of the Water and Power Authority (WAPA) resigned. Puerto Rico froze WAPA's bank account to pay overdue bills and fees. Meanwhile, high ranking WAPA employees are driving around in new Teslas (instead of investing in solar) and all high ranking officials have solar. They poured big bucks into completing the racetrack in time for Carnival--the racetrack is used about 3 times a year... Businesses here are struggling. Mom & Pop stores don't have generators. Our generator broke down last night. Not a happy camper right now!
Wow - that’s terrible

Every time I hear the name Jameis I get an instant craving for crab legs. Is that wrong? 🤔

Come with us! We're booked for 3/9/25 and 12/14/25 out of Port Canaveral. 🙂 (Still 30 pages behind. 🤦♀️)
I’ll definitely consider that. March won’t work most likely. But Dec 2025 is a possibility. Thanks. 😊

Well, my girls’ trip to FL next weekend just got canceled due to a couple of the girls having last-minute issues to deal with at home. Now I already have Friday off, the kiddo out of town with a church mission trip, and trying to see if I can figure out a quick weekend getaway for Brian and me instead. Maybe Hot Springs or the Hill Country, although I’ve been to both a bunch of times. I’m not good at being spontaneous.
Ideas?
New Orleans? Galveston? San Antonio?

🤦🏼♀️ Sorry. I keep forgetting yall have officially moved. Has closing started on the old house?
We closed on May 21. It was very stressful because we dealt with the buyers from hell. We could have held out and maybe got a little more money but it was worth it for my sanity to just be done with it. I’m feeling so much better physically and mentally now! Just looking forward to our 6/29 Celebrity cruise and our new granddaughter in August!

No problem. I think I’m the only one, right now, that’s driving in.
I’m driving in also. Our new place is one hour north of Galveston. We went to the Galveston Historic Home Tour a few weeks ago. It took about an hour to get there driving on side roads. We avoided the dreaded 45.

This part of the world has not been on my radar at all. Thanks to your awesome pictures and commentary, I’m quite intrigued. Looks like I’m adding this area to my rather long bucket list.
