We booked the 10 night Equinox cruise but have been to all the ports several times before. We have the bevarge package and we might decide to stay on the ship. Has anyone done that, just enjoy the almost empty ship?
I always enjoy a nearly empty ship in Grand Cayman. No problem getting a chair in the shade and beverages.

Per Celebrity and the State Dept, since it is a "closed loop cruise" starting in a US port and ending in a US port, you do not have to have a passport. You will need a government issued ID like a Driver License and your Birth Certificate.
From the Celebrity website on documents needed for travel:
U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same port in the U.S.) will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as a government-issued birth certificate and laminated government issued picture ID, denoting photo, name and date of birth. A U.S. citizen under the age of 16 will be able to present either an original or notarized or certified copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad issues by DOS, or Certificate of Naturalization issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Note: Baptismal papers and hospital certificates of birth are not acceptable. Voter registration cards or Social Security cards are not considered proof of citizenship.
While true that it isn't required for leaving or re-entry into the US, that is not to say that it may or not be required in foreign ports. You can take your cruise, but could possibly be denied entry at any port that is non US. The requirement for a passport is totally dependent on the foreign port you are visiting. All that is not to say that it will be asked for, but...

... Also, which is more preferable, the bed by the balcony or the bed by the door?
...
Only you can answer that. Some prefer bed by balcony for the extra room when entering the cabin and some, like me, prefer the sofa by the balcony door.

No longer any point to booking a suite onboard then.
Other than the additional OBC.

I never heard of X doing $25.00 deposits. Maybe I've been sleeping.
I made a few of these in the 2015/16 time frame.

Now that suites have a percentage deposit, how does it work for Onboard Booking?
I'm just weighing my options for possibilities for next summer's cruise (a lot depending on if the new contract gets ratified) and pondering a Sky Suite/Magic Carpet Sky Suite but want to be prepared for the deposit if I decide on that.
From what I recall seeing on the display board on the Millennium the $100 deposit applies only to non-suite categories. Normal deposit amounts are required for suites.

When you receive the 10% bonus via Cruise Excursions before boarding you are only able to cash out slot winnings. If you load $100 + $10 (bonus) you must continue to play until all the $110 has been used - any leftover amount will be lost .
This may be what happened
No bonus, and as stated they paid out the winnings, but returned the balance to my folio.

That has worked for me in the Past but someone said X (well the Casino) has "Fixed" that option.
We would load our OBC in a penny slot machine and do the Cheapest bet and then Cash Out.
On my April Millennium cruise I tried this and when I cashed out the voucher was only for the amount of the slot winnings. The balance went back to my OBC.

All crew and departments will be on their best behaviour, all beverages will be in stock, and the buffet will have a full complement of stations. Can't have the boss see any slip-ups.

I hope everything is all right. I will update my list although I’m sure that the old list will be hanging around for a while as people quote it.
All good. DW had a bad bout of bronchitis. Because you can't buy cough meds at the shops anymore it required a trip to medical to get some.

Thanks for any advice on this.
GailThen you are in luck. That is the standard for cabins on M class ships, they do not alternate.

FYI, the OBC is also available for use should you need to visit medical for any reason. Not the most desirable or exciting use for it, but....

Title says it all. We're looking at V2 veranda cabins on decks 7 and 8 on the Eclipse. I see from videos that some of those cabins have the bed by the head ( aka "bathroom") while others have the bed placed next to the balcony/veranda. I figure there is probably some clue on the deck diagrams, but I cannot figure it out yet. Im my experience with other lines, bed placement usually has to do with whether or not the cabin has a connecting door with the next door cabin. Anyone know for sure on the Eclipse?
Can anyone tell me if the Eclipse was revolutionized? Last I heard "somewhere" she was to have been in late 2021? I thought that would be featured prominently at celebrity.com, but it's not, so I'm assuming she has not gotten the treatment yet.
Doug
The short answer is that cabins that show a sofabed or upper berth all have the bed by bath. The black square or triangle on the deck plan is your indicator.

Hi Everybody,
I'm new to the Celebrity boards (I've been sailing Royal Caribbean for the last 19 years and it's the only cruiseline I've sailed).
I was looking into a European sailing on an RC ship for next summer and someone on the RC boards suggested I look into the Celebrity options, which have better itineraries.
I'm looking at doing a B2B on the Equinox, leaving Barcelona next July. I've always sailed with my daughter, but she's in college and she's currently locked into an internship that will keep her from being able to travel with me for the long trip I plan to take (18 days cruising with an extra week doing Barcelona and Italy on either end of the cruise).
The price for 2 people is only $2,000 more than the price for sailing alone, so I'm not sure if it's worth booking as a single. If for some reason my daughter's plans change and she can sail with me, I don't want to be stuck not being able to add a second person a year from now due to life boat capacity or because of price increases.
Even though $2,000 is a significant amount of money, it's likely a smaller price to pay for the option to add a second person at the last minute vs what I'd be charged to do it a year from now. However, it would also be nice to get the double points for sailing by myself (36) if that's a thing on Celebrity like it is on Royal Caribbean.
So my question is, do single travelers get double points if their room is booked as a solo? And if I book for 2 people right now, do they re-price the cruise if I remove the second traveler and change to a solo before final payment in the same way that they would re-price if I added a person?
Yes, solo is double points except in the few E-class single cabins. Again, yes, that is how it would be repriced.

Not to be argumentative but how is this port any different than any other in the Caribbean? I've seen 16k in Cozumel and St Maarten in a single day? Those beaches are packed!
Honestly looking for your perspective?
Patty
In Cozumel and St Maarten passengers go to a multitude of places, not just the beaches.

I would prefer if they visited Bimini. I think some of the other cruise lines, besides Virgin of course, go there.
They currently do. 3 to 7 night itineraries on all three classes of ships.

Sorry if my question has already been answered somewhere....I searched for awhile before posting this.
I submitted a bid for Move Up from a Prime Aqua stateroom to an Aqua Sky Suite on the 9/9 sailing of Infinity. Since Aqua already has included classic drinks, regular WiFi, and prepaid gratuities, will I also be "moved up" to premium drinks, premium WiFi and prepaid gratutites at the suite level, or will I have to pay extra for those?
Also, as I understand it, the Sky Suite includes all access to the Retreat facilities. Am I correct?
Thanks for your patience and help!
You will only retain your current benefits - wifi, classic drinks, and any OBC you have. You will be charged for the difference in gratuities.

I was told the $200 would be the full deposit for a non suite cabin. Otherwise, it is just giving Celebrity a cash advance? That makes no sense.
It also reserves the extra OBC that is attached to an on board booking.

If booking a suite the $100 pp deposit does not apply, otherwise your deposit is $100 for the cruise you book.
