I’ve made my balance payment online today through the Celebrity website.
As yet I haven’t received a receipt or email confirming the payment.

Does anyone know if I should have received one?

    Thank you

When I made final last month it took a couple of days before I got the updated guest invoice showing the payment. In the meantime log into your account and it should show a 0 balance.

I’m thinking of booking a SV on the Silhouette for a transatlantic cruise. My concern is there no shade at all?  Has anyone brought

    a covering for some shade?

Eastbound? Westbound? Eastbound=afternoon/evening sun, Westbound=morning sun.

we're on the Silhouette 4-nighter next month. I selected Dining Anytime.

just went on da app to make a reservation in DR for 1st night....earliest time. slot available is 8:30....!? we'd like to eat a little earlier than 8:30. Problem?

Only so many are reserved prior to sailing, the rest are for walk ups.

One thing I didn't realize is that while you have a year to book a cruise, you only have 90 days to use any of the OBC you might get when you plunk down your deposit.

If you read carefully you will see 90 days to book your cruise. The OBC is there for you to use on that booked cruise.

    Hi all,

Been searching the Board to no avail regarding our 2024 booking.

We booked our next cruise up before leaving the ship, and I saw an unfamiliar code, SAVOVERALY in the amount of $560 CAD per passenger.

Our Celebrity booker stated we received an upgrade to Concierge 1 - were we charged full rate, then this discount was applied?

As a secondary note, the discount for ALLINCBO75 was taken twice - but when I all them together, they do not add up to 75% of the second passenger's fee - percentage is 68%.  Assuming that the 75% discount is off the package cost but not tips/gratuities.  Can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks!

Gratuities are not included for calculation purposes. Only the base fare is considered.

The bed by the  bath configuration is the one that will accommodate 3-4 guests so frequently if you select 2 passengers not all of the bed by the bath cabins that are avail will show as open.

Never thought of it that way. I did think it strange that every second cabin was already taken.

I have a Samsung tablet as the OP is asking about, it doesn't even present the app to be installed, searching the Play Store returns 'This app won't work for your device'.

It would seem it did work at one time in the past but does not work anymore.  Found this from another thread in January this year where someone called Celebrity and got this answer.

    https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2904289-no-app-support-for-tablets/?do=findComment&comment=64574080

Unless someone has a hack to actually get it installed on the tablet, I know I certainly would not suggest (nor attempt) doing this.

What worked for me ( best I think if both devices are Samsung, although other android pones may work)...

I put the app on my phone and then moved it to my tablet using the Samsung Smartswitch app. It appears to work as well on the tablet as it does on the phone, if that means much😅.

If it doesn't work, the worst is you have lost a little bit of time.

And the ship is in great condition.  Since I usually do not book suites will not notice the difference or if it is done.

I, on the other hand, will have lost my favourite lounging spot on the ship.

I think I've been pretty clear I've never been on a cruise in my life.  I understand that there are bound to be flexibilities with the times that Celebrity lists as time at port.  For sake of discussion, if the itinerary says that we will be in port from 8am to 7pm, is that when you can leave the ship?  Or is that when the ship "touches down" so to speak if I can use airline analogies.  I ask because some of our days when we plan to do an excursion, the time listed for the excursion is later than the "in port" time and we were wondering if we would have time to leave and come back.

So for instance, if we're docked (no tender) and our excursion is saying it will leave at 10am, but the boat is saying it will be docked at 8am, can we go explore the port for an hour and come back?

.It shouldn't be a problem  It is no different than leaving the ship and returning for a noon excursion. Just bear in mind that 10 AM excursion may have a 9:30 meeting time.

Just to make sure I understand this Celebrity NRD “change fee” requirement defined in the Celebrity FAQs section. The “/“ means “or” rather than “and/or”. Correct?

    8. What is a change fee and when will it be charged?
A change fee of $100.00 USD per person will be charged on all bookings made if booked under a non-refundable deposit fare at the time of changing ship/sail date. Please ensure your clients are aware of the non-refundable deposit terms prior to booking.

    9. Will my clients be charged a change fee each time there is a change to a ship/sail date?
Each time clients change a ship/sail date, they will be charged a $100.00 USD per person change fee prior to final payment. After final payment, standard penalties will apply.

I still read it as and/or, not that it makes a difference. The result is the same, $100 for every change event.

If you earn points through Power Up you could get beyond the Preview status even before your first cruise.

My partner will sail Celebrity for the first time next month, but by virtue of Power Up she is well into her Classic tier, and by the time the 21 day cruise is done she will be nearly at Select.
