  1. Here is some of the verbiage for an Elite Cruise Offer. Note it says how many sailings it's good for. Quote ELITE CRUISES: FREE BALCONY ROOM + $500 FUNPLAY® CREDIT + DRINKS ON US! 2. My husband is Sapphire with BCC but we are only Elite Plus with Captain's Club. With a total of 97 cruises we certainly could have been Zenith but we cruise different lines and only recently started staying in Suite level cabins. My husband definitely gambles the cost of our cruise cabins and sometimes more depending if he's enjoying the casino.
  3. I assume you mean a B2B? Yes it's possible and it all depends on what the Casino rate code is and how many uses it allows. We recently completed a B2B2B on the Pride in Europe, all cssino comped. We could have stayed on longer but didn't want to. Again, it all depends on what rate codes you have, how many cruises that rate code allows, and whether the consecutive cruises you want are applicable to those particular cruises.
  4. Sorry it desn't work for you. What I would do is call your TA if you used one or Celebrity if you booked direct and have them put you on the waitlist for Select Anytime Dining (Yes, they've updated the terminology to Select Anytime dining vs Select Dining Early and Select Dining Late)
  5. Thanks for all your answers. We're both quite excited to experience this cruiseline. I'm looking forward to the fitness aspects and also the entertainment aspects. I did warn my husband to be a bit more 'open' to the more creative food choices. It's only a four nighter so it's a great way to try out something different.
  6. Goto the website and access your cruise reservation. Click 9n reservation details and you'll see where the dining section is. Click on it and you'll be able to change your dining time and/or be placed on a waiting list.
  7. I'll tag along this thread and ask a few questions. *Is regular brewed (and complementary) coffee available at dinnertime at all the restaurants? *As noted many of the food offerings are on the creative side with unusual ingredients and sauces. Are the restaurants amenable to making dishes without certain sauces and ingredients, for a more basic presentation (my husband prefers his food on the plainer side)? *Does the casino offer free drinks for those who are actively playing?
  8. We sailed on Royal's Jewel of the Seas Nov-Dec. 2019 Suez Canal cruise. Since there weren't locks involved I didn't find the actual canal sailing of particular interest but did enjoy seeing the various towns we would sail by and crossing under the one bridge that has recently become famous as allegedly part of the longest continuous walkable trek in the World. What was wonderful about the cruise was visiting the Middle Eastern Countries of Jordan(and of course Petra),Oman, and the UAE. The Mediterranean portion(Rome, Sicily, Athens, and Santorini) were all places we've been to. What was interesting is Santorini in the off season (1st week of December) was such a different place and not necessarily for the better. Almost every shop and restaurant in Thera was closed and it was windy and cool. We didn't bother trekking to Oia given what we experienced in Thera.
  9. Does anyone know if Celebrity has reinstated Retreat Lounge Access for Sapphire and above tiers?
  10. Royal definitely locked those doors. Celebrity doesn't nor does Carnival.
  11. Easy and best way. No traveling and you do it from the comfort of your own home.
  12. You can only book one room per sailing date. Your kids would have to have an offer for the same cruise under their VIFP account to get a discounted/comped rate. Regardless of any casino offer each adult can only book one cabin, in other works you couldn't book two cabins in your name.
  13. Thanks for that. That is weird and a misstep in my opinion. I'll have to bring my own then.
  14. Thanks for the info. Do you remember if there's body lotion? I always use it after showering, especially if I'm out sunning during the day. Otherwise I'll have to bring my own. Most cruiselines do supply it with Carnival being the lone exception.
  15. You don't like the chocolate chip cookies? They are so crunchy and yummy!
  16. I'll be on the Scarlet Lady next week and would like to know if bar soap and body lotion is provided. I'm in an XL Sea Terrace and I see photos of the shower mounted Hair and wash products but didn't see any body lotion or bar soap. Thanks!
  17. Certainly there are nicer areas on the Pride than others. The main dining room looks very nice and the area around where Alchemy Bar is located has been totally renovated and looks quite nice since they striped away all the unnecessary decor but the final results still blend in with the rest of the ship. The buffet really needs an update and there are many windows, doors where the seals have broken and they are all fogged and numerous switches were you can't tell what it's function is. When it comes to your cabin one needs to speak up if there are serious issues. Our cabin had a malfunctioning HVAC and the cabin was freezing despite turning it all the way to max heat. A call to maintenance fixed the issue. As previously mentioned we did have occasional hot water issues in the bathroom but that seemed to resolve itself. As I had mentioned on other threads the cabin balconies aren't particularly clean, they do their best but I would never walk barefoot on balcony floor and the general condition of the balcony really turned me off from spending any time on it (I had mentioned the permanent congealed oil/varnish/yellow gunk with other dirty particles that sat in the water channel directly below the glass balcony railing and couldn't be washed away).
  18. Sometimes your surroundings can affect you more than you plan, especially when you're on vacation and you want your surroundings to uplift you, not depress you. I had a very negative visceral reaction when I first stepped on the Carnival Splendor and unfortunately it colored my whole Caribbean cruise on that ship. It's such a dated design and I really don't know who thought it was a beautiful design choice to have big pink circles plastered on every wall. I didn't purposely want the Splendor's decor to bother me but it just did.
  19. Glad you're things are better today. As you have probably read from my posts just be prepared for very little communications about the port stops and inconsistencies with food quality.
  20. We had intermittent problems with hot water in our cabin when we were on the Pride in May & June. I often used the showers in the spa locker room and there never seemed to be hot water problems in the showers there.
  21. I can say with 100% assurance that the Cucina and Chibang will setup the same as on the MardiGras. Not because I have inside information but because of the logistics. Celebration holds more passengers than the Mardi Gras and there's no way the two main dining rooms can accommodate all the passengers if they started charging a cover for the other two restaurants. Additionally I'm on the November 21st sailing and Cucina and Chibang CANNOT be reserved ahead of time, all other specialty restaurants with cover charges besides Emerils can be reserved.
  22. Yes, and it was extremely popular during my 31 days on the ship. I'd be working out and seeing all the interaction.
  23. Thanks for the information. I'll be 61 in October albeit a young at heart 61. I'm looking forward to the nightlife on this ship. I've always thought the downfall of most cruiselines is the dance parties they have and the music they have to play in order to to cater to all musical tastes. I'm not particularly interested in sailing Gay chartered cruises so hopefully the Scarlet Lady will be a good alternative. I can do without the Electric Slide or any Journey song on the dance floor.
  24. I'll be sailing for the first time on the Scarlet Lady next week (1st cruise where you don't need to Covid test!!!) and looking for more information on the PJ party. Most of the posted videos seem to focus on the Scarlet night events and pool party which looks like lots of fun. I have found less info about the PJ Party. From what I understand it starts off like a regular themed dance night but then the resident Drag Queen comes and does a show? Then I'm a little fuzzy about what she does after her performance within the party. Can anyone give some more information about this? What is the general difference between this and the Scarlet night pool party? Thanks for any info anyone can provide. I'm lining up all my fun clothes for this cruise!
  25. Thanks. I just 31 days in Europe on the old Carnival Pride so this will be 180 degrees experience.
