For background i’m canadian and it costs close to 50.00 for the hour making sushi. Would it be worth it? I have done sushi making before, but close to 20 years ago. Is the sushi chef entertaining? The alternative would be to go to stretch and release.

There was a live from crown princess to alaska recently on princess thread. You can get an idea of food and itineraries etc.

How is whale watching in Sitka? I booked too late and am now scrambling to find someone to whale watch with. They may be possible but unlikely.

Is Norwegian Breakaway a good ship? I'm also looking at a caribbean cruise that goes on the breakaway.

Just a note if you are canadian to check your amex offers as you can get 250.00 off 1000 at Norwegian cruise lines. (Note targeted so not for everyone). Some people don't look at these but if you go to your amex home page and scroll to the bottom you will see your offers. I thought stacking it with cruise first 150.00 off is a good deal. I wasn't sure whether to post here so sorry if this is not appropriate.

I'm interested in a 7 day cruise to the caribbean that goes on either of these ships. I imagine for caribbean pool is important. I'm also interested in quiet spots for reading. I'm not sure what else is important. I guess free dining venues as i'd prefer not to pay for specialties. There is only 2 sea days so not a lot.

My sister is telling me i can’t take granola bars through US customs on a cruise ship which seems strange. I’m going on a cruise ship from vancouver to alaska. Does anyone know if this is the case?

I think what hasn’t been mentioned is that princess’s depositing system is much better. Right now you can get a100.00 refundable deposit while with royal caribbean you have to pay extra for refundable and starting at 265.00.

How early are menus supposed to show up? My cruise is in a week and i don’t see it under dining/main dining room. I am on a 7 night cruise and i am disappointed it looks like 7 night brilliance of the seas cruises are having asian night instead of caribbean night.

Thanks. If you read it it specifically mentions father’s day but i guess you are right and nothing special about it. I still don’t see the obc listed on the booking page but maybe its because what i’m booking is a low single supplement sailing and i don’t get it. Maybe i’ll phone.

I’m a little confused as it says you’ll get extra obc for father’s day and i see no evidence of this on the booking page. Are people getting the obc? Does princess do anything special for july 4th?

It does seem a lot to have a port every day but 4 sea days which is what most of these cruises have is a bit much. As i said at least grandeur of the seas goes to puerta plata as well.

Norwegian has a great itinerary to abcs with st lucia (at least i want to go to st. Lucia) on their new viva ship in 2025. I’m from vancouver and airfare costs around 1000.00 or more to florida, not sure about san juan, so you definitely need to think about if the ports are where you want to go. The good thing are there are direct flights to miami.

I’ll probably bring cans of pop. My sister said she got ice from windjammer and had it before dinner. I’m still interested in mocktails though.

So basically less itineraries. I just find it a shame as they do have competive pricing in some instances. It is what it is.

Sorry i just want to add there is a small single supplement on the princess caribbean cruise but it is small. I’m really tempted.
