  1. I've used a TA 2x, booked myself 1x and just this weekend I booked using a PCC for a cruise in January. I would have booked online myself but for some reason my email address (at which NCL emails me 2x a day) was coming up as invalid in the online form so I decided to contact the PCC that has been on my recent communications. Turns out - I knew as much about things as she does, she made it seem like the 10% coupon that was already in my account was a special discount she could give me to save me some money. Mine is a straightforward booking, I'm not using NCL for airfare, so there's not a whole lot she's doing for me - YET. If the price drops I'll certainly be putting her to work.
  2. @bkrickles1 without detail it's easy to jump to the conclusion that I did as many will reserve multiple times for things and then decide once the times start coming up which one they want to take/do. Some have even admitted here to booking multiple times (or multiple venues for a night) at specialty dining with the intent of only using one, but they're not sure which one they'll use as they don't yet know which they really want until the time comes.
  3. and this, friends, is why it's often so hard to pre-book some things. People book multiple showings and then only decide to go to one. Other people get discouraged that they couldn't pre-book because it was 'sold out', don't show for the standby line and the theater ends up only 2/3 full because the multiple-bookers went to another show. 900 seat theater, 4,000 passengers, 4 showings of each show - there aren't even enough seats for every passenger to see each show if everyone only booked one showing, much less someone booking multiple...
  4. I booked mine at the Box Office as soon as I got on the ship.
  5. You can ask that the transfers be removed and you won't pay for them.
  6. Do a mock booking, if you select the BOGO airfare there is a line item for ground transportation added automatically.
  7. Each ship may be different but I was able to reserve comedy shows on the Escape in March. Reservations MAY have been available when I sailed the Joy last year...
  8. Per the T&C's, yes. Guests embarking or disembarking in Quebec City may be reserved on flights arriving or departing from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to ensure the most convenient schedule. https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions
  9. I don't think that's how it works at all. I believe they figure the total airfare cost and then give a 50% discount on it, just as is done for the solo traveler. Even if they did give a credit for one airfare, the usual way a BOGO works when there are two different costs for the items and they are simply discounting a single line-item 100% is that the more expensive one is charged.
  10. I had the same reaction when I sat for lunch in the MDR last year on the Joy.
  11. When doing the BOGO air you don't get a choice of flight times.
  12. They estimate the airfare then charge for only one person. Yes, then it's likely subject to the cancellation fee schedule.
  13. BOGO? Add it to your booking, NCL will book your flights sometime between 75 days and 30 days (or so) before sailing. You accept whatever flights they book. You have until 75 days before the cruise to request deviations. And there are DEFINITELY threads where this is hashed and re-hashed, there are many of them...
  14. This was my vantage point for seeing the Beatles show one night, on the Joy - The person in the flowered shirt is about even with the entrance to the venue. The next time on that cruise wasn't much better. I'm AT the entrance door now...
  15. On 3 solo cruises I think I've had dinner alone ONCE, and on one of those cruises I only went to one solo meeting!
  16. I believe @JandC_Cruising is correct. The UPGRADE option adds two meals to the existing FAS meals, but you'd first need them to be able to upgrade them. Can't do the upgrade, need to just buy a 2-meal plan...
  17. I can confirm that a TA can see and apply them.
  18. As of March the entire Port side of deck 19 on the Escape was open, bow to stern. I believe the Joy is the one that had that space converted to Vibe..
  19. It's been there since at least Spring 2019, but mine have been presented different from @laudergayle has gotten. Yes, it's worthy of the 'OMG' moniker!!!
  20. Fair point, but just figured I'd put it out there...
  21. Still water is Flow Water, sparkling is in glass bottles, maybe San Pelligrino?
  22. Something else I just thought of - Joy's pool seemed to be heated, Escape's did not (unless it just wasn't turned on). While I was on a Caribbean itinerary for both it didn't matter A LOT, but there was surely a difference in pool water temperature. For a Fall cruise, this may matter, unless someone knows if the Escape's pool CAN be heated and just maybe wasn't when I was on board.
  23. 9:30 is your CHECK-IN time at the port, and is generally not checked when you arrive. Your boarding position will be based on how many checked in at the port ahead of you. You won't be boarding until 11 or later If you haven't made dining reservations for specialty dining you can possibly get the time you want in the restaurant you want. Doesn't much matter.
