  1. You have two options - CruiseNext deposits or booking an actual cruise. The CruiseNext onboard offer is basically a BOGO deal, so you get $500 in future deposits (two $250 'certificates') for $250. These can NOT be bought with non-refundable OBC BUT the OBC that is given (that's how you get the $250 back, the CND is charged to your on-board account in the full amount then credited for the deal) CAN be used to offset the cost of one of the CND's. Booking a cruise on board allows you a free one category upgrade (or maybe an upgrade within the category you book).
  2. Check your Latitudes account @graphicguy you may have a 20% coupon code for a 2022 Canada/NE cruise in there (I do). I'm actually starting to seriously consider that last week of October cruise as I can get on the ship in a balcony for under $500 out of pocket (factoring a CN that I have as well). I actually have a 10% off ANY cruise in my account as well, not sure I can stack the 10% and 20%, but I might just hold that for a Spring trip.
  3. The side tables come out, the bed splits and then the side tables are put together between the beds...
  4. Getting price adjustments likely varies by region. Something to consider - as days tick by closer to the departure the availability of some perks goes away, the big one being the BOGO airfare. As those drop off the price would go down. At least in the US you can do a "cancel and re-book" to get the lower price, as long as it's before final payment AND you accept any changes to perks received. After final payment I've heard of some folks getting a portion of the fare difference back as OBC to spend on the cruise.
  5. NCL has this information readily available on the website https://www.ncl.com/sail-safe has a link in the FAQ at the bottom that takes you to the cancellation policy - https://www.ncl.com/refund-and-cancellation-policy-covid-19
  6. Depends on the kind of "visiting" you're talking about. I'd just consider hanging in the lounge with them rather than the room, get a little more space there and someone doesn't have to sit on the bed. If you're speaking of a non-PG kind of visit, I guess there may be a bit of a concern there...
  7. That Studio cabin looks NICE! Love that shower door feature, really cool.
  8. That big white space that's outlined is some kind of crew-access area. It's walled-off.
  9. I don't think Footloose (Joy) and Jersey Boys (Bliss) are terribly new shows. I guess it depends on your definition of "super old"...
  10. I believe you would compose an email. In that email (preferably from the email address associated with the Latitudes account on which the CNC's reside) you would indicate a desire to transfer the certificates. You would want to include the Latitudes number for the account which currently owns them, the certificate number(s) you wish to transfer and the Latitudes account number (and maybe email address so they can verify) to which you desire them to be transferred. Be sure to have the numbers absolutely correct or you'd be transferring them to a stranger...
  11. The email is in the CruiseNext T&C's linked on the NCL website (seems an appropriate place for it) - https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions#cruisenext cruisenext@ncl.com
  12. Seems early for that, I don't think any other parts of that ship have been spotted yet (there's no thread started for it even). Usually you get the engine room section before the bow...
  13. and you pay a small fortune to cruise with them. The mainstream lines don't do this...
  14. Yes, I saw that, that's why I commented on the placement initially. By "split the difference" I mean they made a compromise based on the two possible bed configurations. Placing it where they did, it's convenient, and only slightly awkward, for the most common configuration (together as a queen bed), but not totally awkward for split beds as it would be if it were directly over the night stand in the queen bed configuration.
  15. then, when you add the 20% discount code NCL has dropped in my account JUST for a Canada/NE cruise this year and the $100 'great cruise comeback' credit I got earlier it's an even BETTER deal! I'm just debating spending my 'cruise fund' on a second cruise this year or do one in the Spring next year, for which NCL has dropped a 10% gift in my account. Yes, folks - CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS! I've had two random % off coupons dropped in my account PLUS that $100 credit...
  16. You're looking at a "prime" cruise, being during a holiday. I'm looking at the last week of October on Breakaway (Canada/NE cruise) and one person in a balcony is $650 with FAS perks!
  17. "split the difference" for when the beds are split or joined?
  18. Nice that there's a 110 outlet by the bed, for those with a CPAP... Commented before finishing the video. When he goes out on the balcony and pans down and toward the aft, it seems as though there's a wall blocking the path outside. Is that just a wind break or can you not walk around the aft of the ship on deck 8? The deck plans seem to have it as just a wind break...
  19. I don't believe any NCL ships (as of right now, the Prima may change this) have a "lobster night" anymore. In fact - the menus are fleet-wide (again, as of now but the Prima is different but possibly starting a new menu trend) so they're the same on all ships, though possibly on a different spot in the cadence as there's a 2-3 week cycle of menus.
  20. Just for clarification - didn't you mean The Local? I was on this ship in March and don't recall a venue by the name of "The Limited", and don't see one on the deck plans... Otherwise, I'm glad you enjoyed your first NCL cruise, your experience seems to mirror what mine have been.
  21. You might go find a more recent topic to dig up from the archives, the person you quoted hasn't posted since 2018, and the message you quoted was from a year before that.
  22. To be fair - the description on the website for this venue specifically calls out "reinvented Irish pub classics".
  23. That's why I have a couple of these I bring on board (empty at first), fill in the room and I can then put them in my backpack to bring ashore. These would refill a 3rd, aluminum vacuum-insulated bottle, so I'd have 2+ quarts of water with me. The water may get warm in a warm port but it still hydrates. You can get ice, either in the buffet or from your cabin steward, and fill them with as much ice as you can fit before adding water, that will keep it chilled a little longer, plus filling the aluminum bottle with ice will keep that chilled until the first "warm" bottle is transferred in (after which the transfer is pointless). Yes, they're BPA-free
  24. Harvest Caye is a pseudo-private island. It's an exclusive destination for NCLH BUT it's run by locals and does not have NCL-run facilities on it. As such, at least the drinks on the island are NOT included in your drink package. T&C's of the drink package actually mention this. 'Offer is not applicable at Harvest Caye bars, restaurants, or venues' https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions I've been on the Joy, it's a really nice ship. I'm considering that same Escape cruise (maybe not the same dates but the same itinerary) for my next one. You know better what your children will enjoy.
  25. Off-topic for this thread (create a new one somewhere if you want to do this) I'd be curious to see your comparison of that ship to NCL's similar-size ships (I see you've also been on the Bliss as I have, I've also been on the Anthem).
