  1. DM/PM functionality is not enabled on the site so they won't be able to...
  2. And now we see why Google has stopped allowing call recording apps to work on Android. The laws vary so wildly from location to location and there's so much confusion it's better/easier to just block it entirely.
  3. @rfkeith10then we were on the same cruise! I even have pics of some of the same people! Una (the first pic of yours) was a sweetheart and really seemed to enjoy her job, I hope she came through the last 30 months OK.
  4. You haven't hit final payment yet, right? You can still make changes to your reservation without penalty if you haven't. The T&C's say you need to book your cruise more than 75 days before the sailing, and date deviations can be requested no closer to the cruise than 75 days. https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions Reading between the lines on that, you can still add it...
  5. I was on the Bliss for Halloween in 2019, people definitely dressed up. I didn't, but I wouldn't say I was in the minority. Even entertainment staff members dressed up. They also had some fruit carvings out that evening.
  6. First question - was it a cancellation due to a positive test or due to concern over cruising with COVID still present? If it was due to a positive test they needed to be specific about that during the cancellation call. As others said - cancellations (except in the case of a positive test, which I assume needs to have proof provided) are subject to cancellation terms in the cruise contract. Any credit or refund beyond what is allowed in the cancellation policy would fall back to the passenger's travel insurance.
  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_claims_court#:~:text=England and Wales does not have a separate small claims court.
  8. That might be appropriate if the person with the claim wasn't from the UK.
  9. Seems to depend on the ship, it's either White Hot or Glow...
  10. I'm sure as soon as it's found the link will be in this thread -
  11. You'll have to check with the airlines. SOME allow bags to be checked through from other airlines.
  12. If you're before final payment you typically won't have a cash balance with the cruise line to have applied as OBC, your balance due will just decrease and you get the better cabin. After final payment you would subject to cancellation policies. Also - if perks changed between the bookings you would get the new perks in either case.
  13. It's also possible that NCL would book her on different airlines. This happened to me - Delta on the way to LA, AA on the way home. If booked on different airlines it's entirely possible that one won't know if the passenger made it on the other airline's flight.
  14. I'm confused by the way this is worded. If you won't make use of your reservation it would be appropriate to inform the venue so they can give the table away to someone else. You would make a reservation for two as the smallest tables seat two so you'd just get one of those. If you're going to be active in the solo gathering you could always book a table for 4 and invite others to join you, this is how I ended up dining with a fun group of folks a couple times on my first NCL cruise.
  15. Based on my experience on other ships in the class I'll try to be as accurate as possible. My room on the Joy in March was visited 2x a day Turn down is one of the visits, never a chocolate in my 3 cruises on NCL. Deck 8 is The Waterfront. There's a "jogging track" called out on deck 16. Buffet, one of the MDRs (Taste or Savor, possibly both if demand is high enough) and O'Sheehan's Nightly solo gathering. This is one of the great things NCL does for solo travelers. The first one will have a bar location so those not in the studio area can be guided to the studio area and shown where to enter the lounge (they will prop a door open since the studio are is card-access only for those staying there).
  16. People with the ground their standing on quickly eroding beneath their feet often result to insulting those they're arguing with. You've fallen hard for the marketing by the bottled water companies. The reality is that for most of them they're simply pulling from the local water supply, the same water that the residents of that area get from their taps! There may be additional filtering, but there's otherwise nothing special about it.
  17. That's different. There was a real problem with that public water system (we won't get into the reasons why) that resulted in them needing to drink bottled water to have safe water to drink. The VAST majority of public water systems in the US provide safe drinking water without a need for additional filtration. That was actually addressed by the resident (retired) chief engineer. He admitted that this happens occasionally, there was some reason for it and if the tap had been allowed to run it would have cleared up.
  18. What about using these to warm the mask? They last way longer than you need but they're inexpensive. Once you're done and while it's still "warm" you might consider putting it in a corner of the balcony, or someplace else that's heat resistant. https://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Hand-Warmers-Odorless-Activated/dp/B00D7H9LIA/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=hand+warmers&qid=1660259704&sr=8-7
  19. I did in March. You got me - I filled it in the lounge after security and check-in, while I was waiting to board.
  20. That looks like marinetraffic.com but maybe with a paid subscription.
  21. and for me, booking the BOGO fare for a cruise from Canaveral next March would cost $366 through NCL (solo so I get 50% off) to fly from Albany. Yes, on the BOGO deal the airfare you pay for is comparable or a little higher than booking it yourself but then the second one is free...
  22. This was probably the announcement anticipated on Aug. 14. I guess my friend WILL need to do the testing after all...
  23. You can bring empty refillable bottles to fill from dispensers (the tap in your room or the public dispensers in the buffet via a clean class/cup), but you can't bring filled single-use bottles purchased from a store.
  24. You're right, you don't, and the lease ties you to that. In this case, the T&C's of the cruise line, or the guest ticket contract, DO allow NCL to cancel your reservation. https://www.ncl.com/fr/en/about/terms-and-conditions-ce#!#changes-by-us and before you say it, other lines have similar clauses - https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/cruise-ticket-contract.pdf https://www.carnival.com/popups/bookingengine/reservation-terms-and-conditions.aspx https://www.princess.com/legal/passage_contract/pcl.html Real estate, where someone could be left homeless, is VERY different from a vacation.
