Between Gdansk and the Berlin port we turned around and backtracked for awhile. Could not dock at Bornholm due to winds so sailed around the island to synch up.

We sailed out of Stockholm and headed (presumably) for Gdansk. The following day we sailed down the west coast of Gotland then rounded the bottom and sailed north on the east side. Later we turned back south on what appeared to be track we would have been on had we sailed from Tallinn. Can one of the resident mariners explain what was going on there? Why sail backwards?

Probably neither. Our "final" itinerary had us departing Stockholm two days in a row. It also had us on an excursion one hour after the ship sailed. Go figure. -

We had a great time at "Coast", a seafood restaurant. Sit at the excellent bar and order off the appitizer menu. They had several varieties of local oysters that were "buck a shuck" at happy hour. -

Not that easy. People have retired and/or been retired. Offices have closed, agencies have been sold, etc. Tags were sent to an office that no longer exists. All manner of situations.

Viking says our tags were sent "to your TA" on 5/10. Unfortunately, we've had a half dozen or so and there's no telling who it is today.

Rodne has electric powered boats and is a much better choice for this tour, at least dollar-wise, than Viking.

I think with Iceland Air Saga Premium (or whatever they call it) you get a set of earplugs.

Pouch available on eBay wouldn't you know. Both a brown one I referenced and a blue one with an Einstein quote embroidered. Nice pouches.

There was always some sort of "port talk" about tomorrow in the theater later pm before dinner hour. Usually very interesting and informative. Also an attempt to sell excursions with slots still available.

We leave in 5 days and no tags yet. We got a nice "Man knows little" pouch on one cruise and really like it for passports and such.

I can still walk pretty good but some "simple flat walking tours" are what others might call forced marches.
