  1. Yes, right. It isn't fun and apparently the process hasn't changed much. I've stayed in touch with people on our January cruise. We all started applying around the same time -- the beginning of December. Some still don't have them.
  2. You might want to start processing the visa now.
  3. I'm looking forward to it. I always find your "Live From" posts very interesting. Enjoy!
  4. It's good that you already have a priority list. In our case, we added them to our cart in 3's before we checked out.
  5. And it saves you 3.3%
  6. If you use ACH, it's very quick.
  7. Many people here have said this about 2 users not being able to book excursions at the same time on the same account. But, for us, this is not the case. We have always been able to book excursions at the same time. In fact we did this 2 months ago for our cruise next month We're travelling for 5 weeks, so that was a lot of excursions and it took us less than 5 minutes with both of us working on it.
  8. Absolutely agree with this. Gaudi's architecture is so unique and includes so many different crafts and techniques. I could spend weeks in Barcelona just taking in all of Gaudi's work. It's very interesting, amusing and entertaining.
  9. We were on Viking Shores and Fjords. The view was also "up" and the overhang definitely obscured much of the landscape.
  10. We stayed in 6090 once and I agree that the location is not great. For us, the issue was the Aquavit overhang. It definitely inhibited the ability to take photos. I think 6028 looks good! All that is above you is the lanai which shouldn't be too noisy.
  11. Thank you. We’re cruising next month and I’ve been working on trying to attain photos of the same quality as yours.
  12. Off topic @OneSixtyToOne and @uktog Are there any books you would recommend on photographing with an iPhone? Or did you just experiment with it?
  13. On our January cruise on Sea, in the Explorer’s Lounge, we encountered the best guitarist we’ve had the pleasure of listening to on Viking. His name was Mark. Unfortunately, about halfway through the cruise, he disappeared. After that, there was no entertainment in the EL except Trivia, which we also enjoy.
  14. This surprises me. In all our voyages with Viking, I can't recall them ever being late to dock. This includes two trips to Barcelona.
  15. My special instruction is always "Please wash cold and hang to dry. Thank you!" Yours might be "Please press collar closed. Thank you!" That's what I would do. If it comes back and it isn't how you like it, then show your steward how you would like it pressed.
  16. Smart move, getting in there before the clouds moved in. Our guide said it would be structurally finished in 2026.
  17. Very nice photos. We visited on a cloudy day last year, so my photos aren't as nice.
  18. I have always thought the bits of the fruit flesh were called pulp. So what then, is pulp?
  19. You can purchase SSBP on My Viking Journey up to 1 week before boarding or at Guest Services after you board.
  20. It's an interesting question, but if I were to look at it from Viking's perspective, I might get to Day 14 and decide I could save money by buying the SSBP. I doubt they would let me do that. Although, looking at the "rules", I can't see anything that says I have to buy it before a certain point. I will be interested to see if anyone here has tried to do this. Personally, if I thought it was going to be a close call, I would just buy it and forget about it. One less stressor on a holiday.
  21. Except that yesterday we cancelled 2 excursions for our cruise next month and the money is already back in our account. But, off-topic....of course.😇
  22. To me, it seems possible that the Viking rep FetaCheese talked to misinterpreted the policy.
  23. 👍 I'll be interested to see the menu for that!
